Honestly sheer heart attack is worse than body language, i mean the majority of news of the world is great, but that particular song just isn't enjoyable to listen to
@@woodypearcemusic6593 I think that's the weakest song from News of The World. Only the chorus bothers me which is just a screechy mess, everything else I quite like though.
I am 58 and grew up with Queen. So I'm not a fan after their JAZZ stuff. But the 80's killed many bands from the 70's. Especially prog-rock. Greed of the producers for Dollars not quality. 1. Queen II 2. A day at the races 3. A night at the opera 4. Sheer heart attack 5. Queen 6. Jazz 7. News of the world The rest didn't really work for me. One or 2 songs on every album maybe.
Yeah he ranks very very strict. I was also shocked when I saw "Who Wants To Live Forever", "March of The Black Queen", and "White Queen" so low. However, he is very entertaining, I suggest looking at his Beatles rankings, he loosens up quite a bit there.
When I saw Queen ll at number 11 I quit looking. It and Night At The Opera should be 1-2. Just don’t understand why people don’t understand the brilliance of this album. Not enough commercial potential I guess.

Surprise--News of the World at #2! Well, no surprise to me. Maybe it is that I was 15 when this came out an, at that time, a pretty rare Queen US fan, having fallen in love with Killer Queen as soon as it hit in very early 75. I think I can appreciate WWRY and WATC differently because I bought the album the day it hit shelves. Of course, that duo of monsters was already a big radio darling, but I already knew to look for the unusual and unexpected and allow the boys to take me where they wanted to. I think some reviewers say, "Ugh, that's the album with THOSE songs on it" and they make short shrift of the album as a whole. I really enjoyed your "all-math, all-science, all-the-time" approach to ranking.

My (rough) Queen album ranking (I listened to all the albums for the first time a couple of weeks ago, having only heard about 15-20 of the most popular songs): 1. A Night At The Opera 2. Sheer Heart Attack 3. The Works 4. The Game 5. Queen II 6. Made In Heaven 7. Hot Space 8. A Day At The Races 9. News of The World 10. Queen 11. The Miracle 12. Innuendo 13. Jazz 14. A Kind Of Magic 1-5 are the top tier, with my favorite albums from the band; 6 and 7 are the underrated ones, that I probably ranked higher than the majority, but vibed with personally; 8-10 are the ones that are great, but that I don't love as much as I appreciate them; 11 and 12 are the ones that are really good, but just not as much as the ones above; 13 is one I didn't vibe that much with, even though I recognize it's a good album; 14 is in my opinion the weakest, though there are a handful of songs I like and one I really love!
1. The Game 2. A Night at the Opera 3. The Works 4. Innuendo 5. A Day at the Races 6. News of the World 7. The Miracle 8. Jazz 9. Sheer Heart Attack 10. A Kind of Magic 11. Queen II 12. Made in Heaven 13. Queen 14. Flash Gordon 15. Hot Space
I was a bit curious, this is definitively not my personal scoring and concerning the ranking for some of the "worst" albums, but interesting how it converges hitting the tops (not in that order thought).
I loved Queen more in thier Early Years in the 70 's The only album that came close to that was Innuendo for me MY LIST 15 Hot Space 14 Flash Gordon 13 Made in Heaven 12 A Kind Of Magic 11 The Works 10 The Game 9 The MIracle 8 Jazz 7 Innuendo 6 A Day At The Races 5 Sheer Heart Attack 4 News Of The World 3 Queen 1 2 A Night At The Opera 1 Queen II he Game he Game
My personal top would be like that: 1. News of the world; yeah this was the album where Queen really became the best band out there, with amazing song like We will rock you, Spread Your Wings and We are the Champions (also, thanks to Queen Rocks I grew up with the astonishing guitar riff of Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer Heart Attack!!!!!). 10/10 2. Jazz; this album contains my favorite Queen song, which is "Don't Stop me Now", what else? Jokes aside, the other songs are beautiful as well, Fat Bottomed Girls, Bicycle Race (Why did u block the Official video RUclips? JUST FOR NAKED GIRLS?!! U SERIOUS?!!!! COME ONNNNNNNNN!!!!!!). 10/10 2½. Queen Rocks; you might ask why did I put this album in this list, right? Good question: I know is actually a collection album, but since there's a new song (for the time) in it, is like a studio album, or sort of. Also, this was the album that made me discover the band, thnaks to my mom, I remember everytime the order of the songs due to the number of times I listened to it, beautiful❤😍😍. 10-/10. 3. Innuendo; this album is GOLDEN, almost every song is so amazing, if we know the backstory of Freddie slowly dying of AIDS (in fact this was his last albums when he was alive). Surprisingly good! 9+/10 4. The Works; yup, this is another solid album to me, here we have some of the most known song by the band, like Who wants to break free and Radio Ga Ga, or "MINOR HITS" like Tear it Up and Hammer to Fall. Pure Queen Rock🎸🎸👑👑. 9/10 5. The Miracle; I appreciated a lot the song from this album, sadly this was the period where Freddie started having AIDS and was progressively getting weaker, but this is a demonstration of how Freddie loved music till his death. Pure passion!! Also the songs may not be in Old Rock Queen style, but still enjoyable, like The Invisible Man. That song is not rock, but I really like it. 8,5/10 6. A Night at the Opera; the most important album ever for the band, I know, but to me is not the best. Still has some of the best song ever (just to mention my favorite one, '39😍), most of all BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY!!!!! MAMA MIA MAMA MIA MAMA MIA LET ME GO BEHELZEBU... Gave this album a 8/10 7. A kind of Magic; I never watched Highlander, but the songs from this album are very very good in my opinion, Princes of the Universe, A kind of Magic, Who wants to live Forever and One Vision (I like more the extended version though, idk why, maybe due to Queen Rocks again😅🤣🤣). Those are JEMS. 8-/10 8. The Game; what can I say about this album, idk, still the songs are good and I enjoy them everytime, most of all Save Me. 7,5/10 9. Hot Space; why this is considered the worst album of Queen, simply because they chose using syntethizer? What, they couldn't because they were Queen? No, right? Despite some of the songs are not as good as usual, I admit it, the other are still Jems, like the supreme Under Pressure with David Bowie or the underrated Back Chat and Body Language. Criminally underrated this album. 7/10 10. A day at the Races; this feels like a remake of A Night at the Opera, but the result is not so good, even if some songs are still good, like Tie your Mother Down (not Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, the only single by the band I really dont like for some reasons). 6,5/10 11. Sheer Heart Attack; for the first albums I have no words they were actually good but still not the Queen we all know, and this album is the demonstration. Stone Cold Crazy is a huge pièce, but the other song are meh (not bad, but meh). 6,5/10 12. Queen II; better than the debut album, thanks to Seven Seas of Rhye, but still meh. 6+/10 13. Queen; the first album was a huge revolution, not bad. But I dont like it (except for Kee Yourself Alive, that is a Song with an "S"!). 6/10 14. Made in Heaven; still enjoyable in some songs, but actually is a collage of old songs (Made in Heaven is the name of a song made by Freddie Mercury on his solo album), and none of them were new, even the best of them, so sad that Freddie Mercury passed away. 5,5/10 15. Flash Gordon Soundtrack; well, this is obviously the worst album, a soundtrack album made for the movie Flash Gordon, what could go wrong? EVERYTHING!!!! Except for the main theme the other songs are really forgettable, yeah, this was a useless album. 4/10
Here's a fun fact: Queen is the best selling act of all time on continental Europe (inc. UK), slightly above MJ and with a pretty decent gap from #3 (The Beatles).

Honestly i think the self titled should be much higher up, its definately really heavy by queens standards, particularly with songs like great king rat, son and daughter etc
I had it at 7th as well as him, not cause it's bad, it's actually great. But if you look at mine, there is really nothing it can overtake, since they were all seperated by pins.
I totally dig most Queen albums but non is my favorite because some albums i like very much as a whole while others have few great gems among them. Jazz as an album i don´t rate as highly but ´´Don´t stop me now´´ is easily a top 5 queen hit and ´´Jealousy´´ a true gem too. News of the world has great songs but is recorded in a way i don´t like. It sounds dry and outdated and less sophisticated than ´´Day at the races´´ or ´´A night at the opera´´ from a pure recording perspective while having better recording equipment at their disposal. Sheer heart attack surprises me the most because it has it ALL. Beautiful progressive elements and easily my top three favorite Queen song ´Killer Queen´´. Was my first album too and gets bonus points for that. And ´Day at the Races´´ has ´´ Somebody to love´´ a song Freddie himself was claiming to be a better song than Bohemian Rhapsody ....he says it in an interview and i always get the shivers down my spine the moment that piano starts its intro. A slide dig at all the voice competitions...YOU NEVER SKIP A BRIAN MAY SOLO AND CERTAINLY NOT THE ONE FROM SOMEBODY TO LOVE. I hate it they all do it grrrrrrr. And a Night at the Opera is simply outstanding in every possible way. We all love Queen .
Did the same way of maths as you and here are my results: 15. Flash (unmarked) 14. Hot Space- 6.40 13. Made In Heaven- 7.30 12. Jazz- 7.50 11. Queen II- 7.62 10. A Kind of Magic- 7.66 9. News of The World- 7.72 8. The Miracle- 7.90 7. Queen- 8.35 6. The Works- 8.38 5. Sheer Heart Attack- 8.50 4. A Night At The Opera- 8.92 3. Innuendo- 9.08 2. The Game- 9.17 1. A Day At The Races- 9.40 Note that my overall total score for these albums are very very high. I am a big Queen fan, but still, you can see there is a big hop in score between the top and the bottom half of the albums. Even though the big jump starts from Queen's debut album, I would also put The Miracle in those great half of the Queen albums as well. The other half, they are still great and I could listen to them all day, they just aren't the band's beauty. You had your top album as 'A Night At The Opera' and it was marked at 8.54, and even more jarring, the second place 'News Of The World', was more than a point less. I had 4 albums break your 8.54 top score, and 12 break the second place 7.40. News of The World I don't even think is Queen's best work, and you had it at 2nd place. But, I still gave it a higher mark than you did. However, while your rankings were fairly similar to mine, some song choices I could not agree or disagree more with, which is great that's why we make and watch these videos. I could not help but notice "The March of The Black Queen" only getting 7 along with "I Want It All" and "Was It All Worth It". I also couldn't put off the fact "Who Wants To Live Forever" was only a 6.5 and how "Innuendo" only got a 7. Along with "The Show Must Go On" only getting a 7.5. But for other songs, spot on. "Party" and "Khashoggi's Ship" was spot on, two very underrated tracks. "Delilah" stinks, good job mentioning that as well. Very entertaining vid, keep it up. Alright, with some tweaking, here's my new and improved list: 15. Flash (unmarked) 14. Hot Space- 6.28 13. Jazz- 7.03 12. News of The World- 7.59 11. Made In Heaven- 7.65 10. Queen II- 7.68 9. A Kind of Magic- 7.72 8. The Works- 7.83 7. The Miracle- 7.85 6. Queen- 7.85 5. Sheer Heart Attack- 8.04 4. A Night At The Opera- 8.33 3. Innuendo- 8.38 2. The Game- 8.40 1. A Day At The Races- 9.05 Some of you may notice Jazz and News of The World especially very very low. I never really got into either, while they are both still solid. News of The World and up are all great albums in my opinion. Jazz, most songs are great but some are terrible, Hot Space is half great half terrible and Flash has two actual songs. The last three albums are very slept on, especially Made In Heaven and The Miracle. Both full of hidden gems like "Let Me Live", "My Life Has Been Saved", "You Don't Fool Me", "Breakthru", "Was It All Worth It", "Party".
My list is: 1. A Night at the Opera 2. A Day at the Races 3. Sheer Heart Attack 4. Innuendo 5. Queen 6. Queen 2 7. News of the World 8. Jazz 9. Made in Heaven 10. The Works
The thing about Queen, is they offer so much that everyone sees something different in them. This ranking makes no sense to me at all. If you'd reversed it, it would have been closer to mine, which is this: 1. Queen II 8.5 (avg score) 2. Queen I 8.3 3. A Night at the Opera 7.4 4. A Day at the Races 7.1 5. The Game 7.1 6. Sheer Heart Attack 6.5 7. Jazz 6.2 8. Innuendo 5.9 9. News of the World 5.7 10. A Kind of Magic 5.4 11. The Works 5.3 12. The Miracle 5.2 13. Flash Gordon [not rated] 14. Hot Space 3.8 15. Made in Heaven 2.0 (I thought I liked SHA more, but Side 2 has some very weak songs)
Here is my ranking (at least as of now) 1. Innuendo 2. The Miracle 3. Made in Heaven 4. Sheer Heart Attack 5. Jazz 6. A Day at the Races 7. Queen II 8. A Night at the Opera 9. News of the World 10. The Game 11. A Kind of Magic 12. Queen 1 13. Hot Space 14. The Works 15. Flash Gordon.
Thaaaank u for having the miracle on the second spot. It's actually my favorite so I was very triggered by seeing it on the 12 spot but I rarely meet people who like this album as much as I do
@@oliviamuller3859 everyone hates it so much despite there being nothing wrong with it lol, it’s probably because people don’t listen to albums from start to finish anymore because of Spotify and stuff. But if you listen to something like the miracle from start to finish, it’s way better, and I think it’s pretty cool that the first 2 tracks are connected.

@@sir_sack I know it is a very unusual opinion, but for some reason I never managed to get into that album as much as most of the others. I think it is the "dry" production that sets me off. The songs are great, but there's something with the sound that just doesn't float my boat.
@@kevbon957 Doesn't change the fact that it's an excellent selection of songs, performed with so much raw energy. Roger's drumming is stellar throughout.
And yes, Bohemian Rhapsody (film) is truly awful. Especially just making stuff up for a better narrative, and reshuffling timelines for dramatic effect. And corny as...
Here is my ranking: 15. Flash Gordon 14. Hot Space (average- 6.28) 13. Jazz (average- 7.03) 12. Made In Heaven (average- 7.65) 11. A Kind of Magic (average- 7.67) 10. The Works (average- 7.67) 9. Innuendo (average- 8.29) 2. The Game (average- 8.40) 1. A Day At The Races (average- 8.90) From Made In Heaven and up, the list is very very close and packed together up until A Day At The Races which I think is by far the best Queen album. From the 12 spot, (Made In Heaven) to the 5 spot (Sheer Heart Attack), the difference is 0.31. Over 8 entire albums. That's how close this list was. I never really liked Jazz, although I think Dreamer's Ball is Queen's most underrated song and one of their best. Never really liked Bicycle Race, I thought it was just average and Mustapha I think is Queen's worst song. And of course Hot Space is at the bottom. I was surprised Innuendo was so low. Innuendo and The Show Must Go On I think are Queen's two best songs. Even if I really never liked "These Are The Days Of Our Lives", again I thought it was just average. And A Day At The Races doesn't have a single bad song on it, nor does The Game, Opera, Sheer, and their debut. They were great, and this video was also a very unique way to rank albums, and the most accurate.
My favourite albuns are: A Night At The Opera, The Game and Innuendo... Pd: I actually really like several songs from Hot Space Pd 2: is people ever gonna stop arguing? This stuff are usually subjective and well, nobody is gonna think the same as you, so I don't get why people still fighting over which album is better...
Queen II is literally their best album.
Followed by night at the opera and sheer heart attack news of the world.

@@miguelrubiorincon3904 yeah my ranking’s a lot different now
Seeing Innuendo that low made me frown with sadness and tears in my eyes. But great video. Really loved it.
Please do Radiohead or Led Zeppelin!
They have fairly short discography in comparison to Queen
Thanks. I'm actually going to take on the Beatles next, just for a small project....
The Editor's Eye looking forward to your beatles ranking. i really dig the concept behind the album scores.

My (rough) Queen album ranking (I listened to all the albums for the first time a couple of weeks ago, having only heard about 15-20 of the most popular songs):
1. A Night At The Opera
2. Sheer Heart Attack
3. The Works
4. The Game
5. Queen II
6. Made In Heaven
7. Hot Space
8. A Day At The Races
9. News of The World
10. Queen
11. The Miracle
12. Innuendo
13. Jazz
14. A Kind Of Magic
1-5 are the top tier, with my favorite albums from the band; 6 and 7 are the underrated ones, that I probably ranked higher than the majority, but vibed with personally; 8-10 are the ones that are great, but that I don't love as much as I appreciate them; 11 and 12 are the ones that are really good, but just not as much as the ones above; 13 is one I didn't vibe that much with, even though I recognize it's a good album; 14 is in my opinion the weakest, though there are a handful of songs I like and one I really love!
Great video !
Great comments and analysis! But how come you graded Stone Cold Crazy with just 6!? :)
It’s my favourite song of all time 😩
I can’t listen to Delilah. It’s too hard to do so .
Excellent video, I mean I disagree with your rankings almost entirely, but great watching :).
Why does Hot Space always get such a hard time :(.
Queen 2 and Flash are two of my favourites. Also I think the solo in Too Much Love Will Kill You is very underrated
1. The Game
2. A Night at the Opera
3. The Works
4. Innuendo
5. A Day at the Races
6. News of the World
7. The Miracle
8. Jazz
9. Sheer Heart Attack
10. A Kind of Magic
11. Queen II
12. Made in Heaven
13. Queen
14. Flash Gordon
15. Hot Space
This is very close to my ranking except Innuendo is my #1 and The Game is a bit lower on my list.
I was a bit curious, this is definitively not my personal scoring and concerning the ranking for some of the "worst" albums, but interesting how it converges hitting the tops (not in that order thought).
I loved Queen more in thier Early Years in the 70 's
The only album that came close to that was Innuendo for me
MY LIST
15 Hot Space
14 Flash Gordon
13 Made in Heaven
12 A Kind Of Magic
11 The Works
10 The Game
9 The MIracle
8 Jazz
7 Innuendo
6 A Day At The Races
5 Sheer Heart Attack
4 News Of The World
3 Queen 1
2 A Night At The Opera
1 Queen II
he Game he Game
My personal top would be like that:
4. The Works; yup, this is another solid album to me, here we have some of the most known song by the band, like Who wants to break free and Radio Ga Ga, or "MINOR HITS" like Tear it Up and Hammer to Fall. Pure Queen Rock🎸🎸👑👑. 9/10
6. Gave this album a 8/10
8. The Game; what can I say about this album, idk, still the songs are good and I enjoy them everytime, most of all Save Me. 7,5/10
10. A day at the Races; this feels like a remake of A Night at the Opera, but the result is not so good, even if some songs are still good, like Tie your Mother Down (not Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, the only single by the band I really dont like for some reasons). 6,5/10
11. Sheer Heart Attack; for the first albums I have no words they were actually good but still not the Queen we all know, and this album is the demonstration. Stone Cold Crazy is a huge pièce, but the other song are meh (not bad, but meh). 6,5/10
12. Queen II; better than the debut album, thanks to Seven Seas of Rhye, but still meh. 6+/10
13. Queen; the first album was a huge revolution, not bad. But I dont like it (except for Kee Yourself Alive, that is a Song with an "S"!). 6/10
14. Made in Heaven; still enjoyable in some songs, but actually is a collage of old songs (Made in Heaven is the name of a song made by Freddie Mercury on his solo album), and none of them were new, even the best of them, so sad that Freddie Mercury passed away. 5,5/10
15. Flash Gordon Soundtrack; well, this is obviously the worst album, a soundtrack album made for the movie Flash Gordon, what could go wrong? EVERYTHING!!!! Except for the main theme the other songs are really forgettable, yeah, this was a useless album. 4/10
Great stuff!👍👍👌👌

Did the same way of maths as you and here are my results:
15. Flash (unmarked)
14. Hot Space- 6.40
13. Made In Heaven- 7.30
12. Jazz- 7.50
11. Queen II- 7.62

9. News of The World- 7.72
8. The Miracle- 7.90
7. Queen- 8.35
6. The Works- 8.38
5. Sheer Heart Attack- 8.50
4. A Night At The Opera- 8.92
3. Innuendo- 9.08
2. The Game- 9.17
1. A Day At The Races- 9.40
Note that my overall total score for these albums are very very high.
Alright, with some tweaking, here's my new and improved list:
15. Flash (unmarked)
14. Hot Space- 6.28

7. The Miracle- 7.85
6. Queen- 7.85

4. A Night At The Opera- 8.33
3. Innuendo- 8.38
2. The Game- 8.40
1. A Day At The Races- 9.05
Some of you may notice Jazz and News of The World especially very very low.

@@sir_sack I know it is a very unusual opinion, but for some reason I never managed to get into that album as much as most of the others. I think it is the "dry" production that sets me off. The songs are great, but there's something with the sound that just doesn't float my boat.

From Made In Heaven and up, the list is very very close and packed together up until A Day At The Races which I think is by far the best Queen album.
Shear heart attack.should be number 1
