Subaru Impreza GC8 CRASHED at the Kemi Rallý 2021 on Kaldidalur, Iceland

On June 26th, 2021 the second stage of the Kemi Rallý 2021 in Iceland took place on Kaldidalur Suður 1. Garðar Gunnarsson was driving a Subaru Impreza GC8 with his son Runar Gardarsson as copilot. On sub-stage 6, the vehicle rolled knocking them out of the race and badly damaging their car. Thankfully, due to the extensive safety equipment including a roll cage, racing seats, & Hans device, they were bruised but otherwise not seriously hurt.
I happened to be driving road 550, Kaldidular as my first F road in Iceland (even though it's not really marked as an F road anymore) and came upon the crash scene not long after it happened. As a car enthusiast myself I had to stop and check out what happened and was very glad to hear both driver and co-pilot were okay.

Miraculously they were able to rebuild the car in a month and didn't even miss a race! Truly beyond words impressive.
