Surrounded by sheep during the Iceland réttir #shorts #iceland
Просмотров 4618 месяцев назад
On September 9th, 2022 I was on my way to Sprengisandur to drive across the center of the highlands when I was surrounded by sheep during the annual réttir. The réttir is when all of the sheep are collected from their highland grazing areas and returns to the farms before the winter.

Jimney STUCK in the Syðri-Ófæra river gets rescued by a Super Jeep
Просмотров 4,9 тыс.Год назад
While in Landmannalauger observing a Dacia Duster that hydrolocked in the river crossing, I met some other tourists who got stuck in the Syðri-Ófæra river on F233 Álftavatnskrókur a couple days before. The same crossing where I encountered a Duster with a flat tire and bent suspension, and a Sprinter van with a flat tire due to a bent wheel. They drove F210 and successfully made it across the H...
OBLIVIOUS Tourist Nearly Drowns Dacia Duster at Landmannalauger
Просмотров 18 тыс.Год назад
These tourists did nearly everything wrong when crossing the rivers at Landmannalauger. Thankfully they did not hydrolock the motor, but they appeared to come close and had to restart the vehicle. 1. They went right up the middle through the deepest section of the crossing. Following the flags on the left, or following the right hand side are both better options. 2. They went too fast and almos...

Iceland F Roads in 4K - F206 Lakavegur and F207 Lakagígarvegur
Просмотров 2 тыс.Год назад
On September 5th, 2022 I drove F206 Lakavegur and F207 Lakagígarvegur to the Laki crater system. I was driving a CampEasy EasyClever 4x4 van, a VW Transporter with small lift on larger (225/75/R16, ~29") A/T tires. The Laki eruption was one of the most destructive in Iceland's history - leading to the death of most of the livestock and 25% of the population due to the resulting famine. For more...

Jacks collapse while changing Mercedes Sprinter tire on Álftavatnskrókur F233 in Iceland #vanlife

This is a warning about attempting to drive F233 Álftavatnskrókur, it's not a road that should be taken lightly. Two vehicles in a row were disabled driving through the river crossing closest to F208, and I know of another vehicle that got stuck in the same crossing that day. I was driving on F208 heading to Landmannalauger and decided to take a short detour down F233 to the first river crossin...
Subaru Impreza GC8 CRASHED at the Kemi Rallý 2021 on Kaldidalur, Iceland
Просмотров 341Год назад
On June 26th, 2021 the second stage of the Kemi Rallý 2021 in Iceland took place on Kaldidalur Suður 1. Garðar Gunnarsson was driving a Subaru Impreza GC8 with his son Runar Gardarsson as copilot. On sub-stage 6, the vehicle rolled knocking them out of the race and badly damaging their car. Thankfully, due to the extensive safety equipment including a roll cage, racing seats, & Hans device, the...
Crossing the treacherous Skyndidalsá river on Kollumúlavegur F980 in Iceland
Просмотров 2,8 тыс.Год назад
I met this awesome Norwegian couple and their badass Icelandic built Nissan Patrol at the entrance to Kollumúlavegur F980 in Iceland. They started off on the road before me but thankfully I caught up to them just as they were searching for the best path through the treacherous Skyndidalsá river, one of the deepest and most dangerous in Iceland. Comparable to, and arguably more difficult than th...
Why?? Is simple... first gear and go slowly...
Yeah, and follow the guidelines in the river. Do not go straight through the middle.
There’s a sign on the main path asking you not to leave it and he’s left it. Idiot.
I miss my Imola yellow B6 S4😢 These are so rare in this color
I hate tourists
That dude's neurotransmitters are definitely imbalanced ...
Great recovery. Next time, those Vitara's do have 2 recovery points at the front. It's much safer to use those at the same time.
I don’t care about this individual but more about the nature he’s sabotaging
its none of your business. not even your country.
Darwin award goes to....... "I live for that", until you don't.
Stupid is as stupid does. Darwinism loves people like this
What a jerk.
His friend's haircut was stupider.
It's ok to film him, no need for the lecture though. Not your business besides he knows anyway.
So many people have died for the sake of getting a good photo or selfie.
His guardian angel is racking up the overtime!
Where is the link to the video he recorded?
Самый большой % погибающих, составляют люди, которые - НЕ ЦЕНЯТ свою жизнь !
It really depends on his skill level. There is a fair chance he is an experienced climber / mountaineer in which case this is likely well within his comfort zone and not difficult terrain at all. It sounds maybe like a Cumbrian accent (Lake District in the UK) so a good chance he's grown up very close to the mountains and knows his stuff.
Sure, then next idiot sees him doing it and goes there and falls. Do dumb stuff in remote places (no rescue staff put in danger) not in a tourist spot.
I was unaware that 'being a dumbass' came in skill levels. Have you gotten your certification yet?
There are signs on this main path asking you not to leave it. It’s irrelevant if he’s skilled or not.
The poor guy recording was so nervous.. Such a soft person, he is unable to control his emotions
It was pretty stupid but no need to be a karen about it, let the man live his life
This guy is one of them who wants to be a police officer, or traffic warden, moll cop.
What he fails to understand (among a great many other things) is that if he does fall and gets stuck on that slope so poor guy in the rescue services has to come and get him and risk their own life for his poor, selfish choices..
Plus they have to fill in some forms and write a report. No one likes to do this.
Ok RUclips, Karen.. I bet everyone that's unfortunate enough to know you wishes you had a father. Grow up, boy.@@telekommandant
Well, he did admit it was all about him.
His life ,leave people alone ya twat.
Second most Stupid thing, Filming him doing it ?
That's none of your business. Confronting someone you don't know is also not smart.
What if he fell? Still no one's business?
Please people don't do stupid things in my country i hate having to put a toe tag on you.
P r o m o S M 😣
tourists/tourist areas 'cheapen' a place...
Get a life, mind your business. It's a free country, you saved no one. And it's image ursupation without consent, I report your video
Well it’s still here so your cunning plan failed. In most civilized countries, filming in public is perfectly legal 🤷♂️
You'll die for it eventually.
Declare a toilet a tourist attraction and these people would go down it to make a selfie.
They already have.. its call NYC..
Don`t really see the need to tell him how stupid this was. That is being disrespectful to someone you have never met before and trying to make him look like a fool. Implying someone is an idiot may come across as a personal insult to some. In fact you didn`t have to approach this guy in the first place, let him go about his business and if it results in his death, there will be one less in the genepool.
Difficult to see if there is actually an old " user path" beneath the long grass where the kid was. I reserve judgement.
Nissan produces Jeeps?
Layman refer to it as a Nissan Patrol, to the advanced overlander it is a Super Jeep
Yeah, the ijit may 'live for it', but he's going to 'die for it' to one of these days.
you REALLY should not cut people down for playing the game of "Natural Selection"
"if he dies he dies "
Main thing no one was hurt, you can replace a car but not a person.
Process of natural selection. Glad you confronted the idiot anyway.
Will be a lot of damage underneath.
Got draged over the edge so a fair bit of damaged
Mainly the plastic covers will be damaged and easy to replace.
@@joergarms1 there is more then plaastic if its a 4x4 and it is so check the drive shaft.
Oof
In the US we call women like that a Karen.
A Jimney without a snorkel and fording - high risk, anyway.
What is a fording?
No, it's not. Jimnys are used a LOT in Iceland and river crossings. Many many vehicles get stuck in these river crossing but the Jimny is one of the most capable. Anyone in Iceland that own one can tell you this.
Very bad driver and passenger on the white car
Wow, amazing video! Have a good Sunday!
Thanks!
Average Ireland moment
Haha I bet!
Awesome dude. I drove the f210 this year. I plan to do f88 and f910 next year.
Thanks, it was a great day with perfect conditions. Good luck on F88, you saw my other video already, but it's a harder route to Askja than F910 due to the river crossings.
Very nice video. I intend to drive this next year. I did F210 this year.
Thanks! What vehicle were you driving?

Tampiti. If he had fallen, he wouldn't have to be saved! Stupidity costs you!
I am thiking on driving a hilux camper van (like the one that crossed the river before you) around Sept 20th. It might be closed? Looks very dry during your ride.
It might be, though I'd say more likely to be open than closed. Just keep checking the weather and road conditions before heading out. The second and third rivers are bigger ones. If you drive it report back on how it went, good luck!
Thanks so much!@@BayAreaDashCamera
Hey another question! Did you have a european licence to fly a drone? I dont know if i will have the time to get one. I am leaving in 11 days!@@BayAreaDashCamera
