Crossing the treacherous Skyndidalsá river on Kollumúlavegur F980 in Iceland

I met this awesome Norwegian couple and their badass Icelandic built Nissan Patrol at the entrance to Kollumúlavegur F980 in Iceland. They started off on the road before me but thankfully I caught up to them just as they were searching for the best path through the treacherous Skyndidalsá river, one of the deepest and most dangerous in Iceland. Comparable to, and arguably more difficult than the infamous Krossá river getting to Þórsmörk. Definitely a less traveled road than Þórsmerkurvegur F249.
