Couple things went wrong with your interview. Firstly, you should know by now that Chinese men are known for being shy among their female counterparts if they don’t know each other , particularly with the good look of yours (sunglass on you to avoid eye contact might help in this case and you seem to be quite shy yourself here). Had the interview been taken place in the West, I garantee you the guys would volunteer themselves before you even ask for. The best interviewee here turned out to be that young boy, because your beauty had no bearing on him yet. Second problem is that you are not interviewing a politician here. Your subjects are not used to it, you need to break the ice, so to speak, by asking indirect question, guiding them instead. Questions like: Can you guess where do I come from? if they have the answer, your following question would be something like: So what do you know about my country and how and where do you learn about it etc…. Another way is to ask if they have ever tried Parkistani food (now you are in their element )
