    Love your idea commentaries so much! ❤ Also your sponsorship humor. 😄 For me, a must-have is a window eye-level or lower from the couch. 🌿 I would also ideally add at least a foot to the living room and make the end wall a combo of fireplace with taller mirror above, hidden storage, and TONS of book shelves with plants and art mixed in and space for a lamp and a cup of tea by the sofa. Cozy! 🤓❤📚🪴🫖 With a curtain rod between the living room and kitchen and a bed-length couch, you could have a first-floor guest room plus flexibility for aging in place or recuperating from injury. : - )

    This one is cute but not really what I’m looking for. One thing I keep thinking about is … where would you put your dirty laundry ?
    Also- the living room isn’t cozy to me. One must have for me is some form of a fireplace and a much much bigger tv that what was shown.
    I do like the idea of separation in the kitchen and the deck outside is absolutely a must have also.
    And mostly I’m hoping the people of the community didn’t get flooded and are praying for the people who did.
    Thanks for showing us around !!! ❤️🏡

    I also would take the sitting/landing area that I would never use and extend the closet in the BR, which also moves heat/cool split closer to where it is needed. Like your ideas and agree with pull out "spice/can" storage racks in as many places as possible, but storage under the bed is bad feng shui, but ok under stairs.

    • @TinyHouseExpedition

    Great Tiny but why are the TV’s always so high up? That is totally not okay. When watching it the hight should be in your eye line or lower. Putting it too high is not good for your body, neck and eyes.❤

    • @TinyHouseExpedition
      @TinyHouseExpedition  2 месяца назад +3

      We hear you! If mounting a TV higher on the wall is the only place to fit in, a simple solution would be to get one of those fantastic wall mounts that allows you to dramatically pull down the TV and tilt in multiple directions 🤔

    • @tteric67
      @tteric67 2 месяца назад +1

      @ there is nothing wrong with putting it lower than your eye line, the floor even. But please never above as that can result in serious bodily harm. Neck and shoulder problems, headaches etc. Ask your chiropractor .🤞

    I've always wondered why the collapsable (to the wall) ladders aren't used more. Any idea why? You get the ladder out of the way, and you could also make it a bit wider as well and I've seen some really pretty wooden ones. I love the shower stall floor in this one. So pretty! Great tips to make it more FT living friendly! Edit: Also, I really want that kitty flowerpot that's in the bedroom closet! I wish I knew where they purchased it.

    • @TinyHouseExpedition
      @TinyHouseExpedition  2 месяца назад +1

      Such a great point! We’ll have to think on that more. 🤔 Perhaps because of the amount of wall space needed for folding it or likely because people forget that’s option.

    • @cindydean2371

      @TinyHouseExpedition Heat will degrade the chemicals and essential oils and reduce their flavor. Also, they shouldn't be stored in direct sunlight.

    First of all I love your commercials you guys do, they always make me laugh. I liked your ideas, I always do, you guys know your stuff.
    The one thing that bothers me is when they have the second bedroom on top or even third and there is no privacy wall. People need a place to change without being seen and who wants to be watched while you're sleeping? Not everyone wants to run to the bathroom to change.

    • @TinyHouseExpedition
      @TinyHouseExpedition  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you kindly! 😄 In our tiny house, we never changed in the loft because it was too difficult without being able to stand up. But we hear you, in some cases, a privacy screen at least would be helpful 😊

    Yes but spices in an Airbnb you have to be careful for allergy's and people messing or contaminating them... I run my brother's Airbnb and I finally got some Lawry's seasoned salt and some cayenne pepper I did get the condiments like packages of mayonnaise mustard and the guests like that they use them so they don't have to buy full size. You have to be careful with food items in an Airbnb. 16:19

      We so appreciate you and your sweet feedback! 🥰 We’re having such a great time with this small space design series. It’s so tough to get a feel for what it would be like to live in a tiny home and vacation rentals help, besides some not being setup for that, it’s important to go in with a critical eye for the right details. 😁👌✨

  • @emmadarwiche8078
    @emmadarwiche8078 Месяц назад

    Super honest review with a huge negative almost condescending vibe hahaha whoever created it obviously didnt have much experience for the size of few items and details.
    But why make a video to advertise if its not done correctly, not suitable for living, and you both seem to hate it and pissed?
    Either put on a smile and have fun with good vibes to get it rented or do it as a separate video of how to upgrade a tiny that hasn't had expertise put into it. Just saying.
    Great job - love the channel.

    • @TinyHouseExpedition
      @TinyHouseExpedition  15 дней назад

      Not meant to be condescending at all. We enjoy sharing ideas from the huge amount of tiny homes we’ve seen and our personal build experience. The idea with this series is to help people interested tiny home living figure out what they need and see all the ways you can use a small/tiny space.
      Many people rent Airbnbs as a way to test out tiny living before going for it, but many Airbnbs aren’t set up for full time living. We just want to encourage people to think more deeply about space efficiency, what would work best for them and what wouldn’t. It can be difficult to visualize how to layout or optimize a space, so we hope by sharing our ideas it helps to get the wheels turning for others wanting to live this way.
      As we said, we genuinely think this is a wonderful Airbnb and can be lived in now but have ideas to create more usable space. This is something we share with the Airbnb owners before we shoot.

    Christian, are you SURE that deck is 25 x 25'??? This tiny's design has some good things going for it. One thing I never like is a sitting area (in this one, the sofa) where you can't look directly out the window - only up. For myself I would have the window start about 2' from the ground. Another option to lower the window would be to not have the seating and the "bar" be bar height, but normal table height, with normal height seats. Another option for a wider bar shelf would be one that is as narrow as the one shown, but with another shelf that wide attached by a hinge on the room side that pulls up from the wall and over into the room to double the width, with some pull-out supports that fold into the wall under the shelf. I really liked your suggested improvements, especially the idea of a pull-out set of shelves beside the shower! The cabinets in the kitchen looked really poorly built - hard to believe they put that door on in the middle of that pot cabinet. Major boo boo! Thanks as always for your video. And Christian, I want one of those L-shaped desks that I could raise or lower for my art studio!!!

      @TinyHouseExpedition  2 месяца назад +1

      Oops! Meant to say 16’ x 16’. 😅 Great notes! We totally appreciate your preference on being able to directly look out the window on the sofa. 🛋️ The L-shape is pretty swanky feeling!

    If I were the owners of the air B & B, I don’t think I’d be happy. I get your review and expert advice but even then, some of what you had to say would not work for me. Using an Air B & B is not the same as full time living. I understand you guys are the experts and have good input for full time living but, this tiny home is complete and ready for guests for a night or two.

    • @TinyHouseExpedition
      @TinyHouseExpedition  15 дней назад +1

      Thank you for the feedback. We genuinely like this tiny house Airbnb, and the others we share, but it as you said, they’re not typically set up for full time living. We hope to inspire hope wanting to live tiny to use their Airbnb stays as productive research for what would work well for them, and what doesn’t. This concept of sharing a tour then our space optimization ideas is something we discuss with the owners before filming.
