Silent Hill: Downpour is a new Silent Hill video game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, developed by Vatra Games and published by Konami. Downpour marks the eighth installment (Silent Hill 8) in the series, and is the third seventh generation Silent Hill game.
The protagonist of the game is a convict, Murphy Pendleton. Downpour begins with Murphy sitting inside a prisoner transport bus that is traveling along Interstate 95 on a rainy night. However, things go awry as the bus steers out of control and sails off the side of the road, entering the nearby woods. Murphy, after looking at the remains of the bus, enters the forest as an attempt to escape. Along the way, he encounters Anne Cunningham, a corrections officer attempting to track the remaining prisoners down.

This is the first series I've seen on this channel and I must say I simply love it. The humor you have during the commentary, your reactions to the game, and how you play it is all enjoyable and makes the game even more fun to watch when I'm done with college work. Makes my day less stressful. I hope to see more today.

Brad, the walkie-talkie (or police radio receiver, whatever you want to call it) gives out static whenever you get close to an enemy. This feature has been implemented in a few Silent Hill games before.
You asked about this in the previous video, but I thought if I post it in the latest video you will be more likely to read it.

That broken pathway area off of the park that it circled on your map for some unknown reason... I noticed a red band around the lightpost, like a ribbon had been ripped off. I figured it was the end of the trail of red ribbons you noticed, and I saw as you walked back up into the park, there was another ribbon around the light post so maybe that area is circled because it's the end or beginning of the path?
Oh don't get me wrong, I love Brad's walkthroughs, I really do. Sometimes you just want to yell at him though, lmfao.
Most of this series was you trying to figure out how to get somewhere you've been...

I think the guy in the Subway was adding those question marks to the map, not new routes. I noticed after the jacket was given, there was a key up on the port, and then when you gave the rod, there was also then a question mark over the key.
after the third quest finished, the beggar di d actually open all of the tunnel for you.. :)
Every time I see the guys shadow pop out randomly I think it's some creature chasing him.....

I may be wrong, but I think what he was actually doing was opening up the blocked paths in the subway that you couldn't get through before?
Also, I really think the soul eye is the right thing to use on the symbols. What I've learned from Silent Hill, even if you think an item won't work, try it anyway. You'll often be surprised.

Is that what it is? Alright. Someone else pointed out that the soul eye is connected to the symbols somehow, and I remembered him getting it in the room with the map so I thought he had to use it on the symbols somehow.
What "wooden way?" If you mean the broken sidewalk that looks like a path, I remember him trying to go up there in a much earlier video and he couldn't get through.
If you dont own Homecoming dont play it or get it, the game is not scary the combat is buggy, the story is weak, predicable, and the buggy aspect of the game could make it almost completely broken at certain points. Id love to see a decent walkthrough of Silent Hill 2, one game that creeps me out no doubt
There are 14 sidequests in all. Also, use the soul eye on the round metal thing in the same room as the sign map. There are different keys for each of the [I'm just gonna call them Stands from now on] stands. Once you get it lined up right, it will spawn a coin, you put that coin on the map. Yes, it IS convoluted.
Also hope to see a vid. Of you doing a walkthrough. Of afraid of monsters directors cut. I seen one. On here. But wasn't a full walkthrough. Also love the old horror indie games. That cry of fear and nightmare house 2. Some freaky scary shit. Right there. Anyhow's much love.
Hey man. Great vids. Specially this series. There's a lot of things. In silent hill downpour. I never got to do. The first time around. And will probably play it again. Go back check some areas. But i never really had. Any problems or complaints. Playing it. On my 360.
silent hill revelation, I get them mixed up but whatever the number of the game is for the movie so I can see you play it before i see the movie would be great!
Looks like you got hustled by a homeless dude for a coat and a fishing rod. No sweat, you did good though. That's kind of what most of them do out there.
Brad, the shotgun didn't have 6 shots left. When it said 1/5 it meant it had 1 out of 5 shells in the gun. The number on the right is the clip size.
As per your "I have 5 more shots but its not responding."the guns show homany are in it /cpacity. so pistol is 7/7 meaning it has 7 rounds in it of 7 possible. so when you check ed ammo a few vids back and said "6" becasue it showed 1/5, you only had 1 shot of the 5 the shotgun holds. hope that helps any confusion in later games. (yes I knwo this was posted a year ago, but hey...)
dude, it would be an easy, fast quest completion if you just return the stolen items, I mean u have all three in your inventory... might as well just return them to the house. (the money box, the watch and there's one more, listen for the baby crying and the other sounds when you enter the room, that will give u hints as to which item goes where) btw gj on this part, looking forward to the next part ;)
Someone just saw what i saw? Brad made a great headshot on the monsters and they didn't even feel it;this game is bullshit,it's crazy but i like it anyway...love the way you've decided to play the sniper instead of battle in the same ground...they say great minds don't use the muscles but the brain to solve problems,that's more like it.
Yea, I thought He knew that already too, *thinking to myself* why would the second # tell you how many bullets you have left when they also tell you how much ammo you have separately in the inventory lol. I'm not saying that Brad slow (the game also had me thinking like that as well when I first started), but I'm not surprise it hadn't dawn on him after telling himself that.
I thought Silent Hill was supposed to be about a person facing their inner demons and ultimately learning to move on from their terrible past (or get punished in a manner fitting their crime).
So what was the Silent Alarm side quest supposed to teach Murphy? what revelation was he meant to gleam from the entire experience?

Hi Brad. I don't think you realized this but, the guns say # / # like the shotgun says, # / 5. This means that the gun holds a max of five shells. and the first number is how many shells are in the gun. When its empty it says, 0 / 5. That does not mean you have five shells and the gun isn't responding. Hope I helped. :)
I agree with those that said to start with SH1. I think going thru the series in order would be awesome.
Also, you should consider getting a PO Box. I'm sure there's lots of us that would like to share and send things to you. :) Great job on the series! You're by far my favorite gamer!

Dear brad: That soul eye you have can be used on a symbol which is in the shape of an eye (You rotate it after pressing it down into its pedestal and turn it, eventually you can pick it back up and you will get a token (You place this on the map) its an achivement.

Brad i think that old dude actually have you key... if you look at 3:31 on the top of the map you can see there is key on map...but after you gave him fishing rod there is not key anymore there is question mark...
got this game yesterday and jesus its creeeeepy even tho ive watched 90% of your downpour vids i still jump when shit goes down :/ what would you rate this game out of 10 WITHOUT the lag issue being a factor :)

You should definitely start with silent hill 2, then 3, then the room, then homecoming. If you go in order, it'll be more easy to follow and more and more people will watch them. Or at least I would haha :)
First off you can do stuff with those Sigils you keep seeing. You just got to use your inventory... 2ndly the number under your gun is how many rounds are left in it, hence 4/7 is 4 bullets out of the clip.
I belive you get a load of different items that resemble to eachone like the soul eye is for a symbol of an eye, when you have used it you get a shadow token (or somthing) you place it on the map for some unknown reason :O

Hey Brad, IMO I think since this is your first Silent Hill series, you should do 1 of 2 things. Go all the way back and begin with 1, or work backwards from where you are. Don't just jump to 2.

@theRadBrad hey Brad! The Soul Eye is one of four fragments. I think you have to match up each fragment with the symbol that it looks like, then shine the UV so that the shadow lines up

Brad, the game doesn't really show it, but now you have full underground access. Hope you see it in time before you record everything and run around for a LOT of time. :/
