The first date is pretty much a vibe check...I keep it simple, lighthearted, safe for me and I order something small that I can afford and can eat quickly...a small coffee, small gelatto... To me it does matter if he asks me to pay my part, so if I keep it small and nimble I cover it...I dont go to dates to take advantage of the guy and I have met women who purposefully meet men for dates to get free meals...I can't, it's so degrading. I also dont go cleavage/ full make up/ steak dinner on the first date...many women who do one night stands are already on that expectations loaded train who only adds anxiety I keep the first date short, lighthearted and positive, no 4 hour talks plus hotel later... The first date is a vibe check and to know is not a scammer but a real person
If I have to pay my half it does kill the vibe for me, I order a small thing (a coffee a gelatto) I dont order expensive things, so if he doesn't even want to cover the cost of a coffee for courtesy, then I'm not meeting this guy again. I don't owe him a night of sex just because he paid for the first date, I'm not a pr*stitute. I stay polite for the rest of the in person interaction (also to be safe) but I never reply to him again online and it pretty much dies right there.
do not date friends, do not date direct work colleagues, do not date work supervisors, do not date men with girlfriends/wives.... unless you want drama, then date all of those and good luck, just stay away from me, I dont need the chaos.
Chill people can I call a love interest a friend? In Vietnamese culture we call everyone a friend even love interest. Adam says we should be best friends with your partners. So our partners shouldn’t be our friend? Adam has a lot of great advice. Best of luck to you all.
