I had a severe ankle injury during ROTC training and the commander told me if I didn't do the qualifying run and physical fitness test I would wash out and be sent home ending my military career. I did the run and physical fitness test and made the ankle much worse. I've suffered multiple ankle injuries since because of instability and now it's traveled to by knees and back. Part of me was happy I was able to stay in but the other part of me is pissed because the Air Force was not looking out for my health. I'm considering filing with the VA

Ms Leah , thanks for your infomation. I just had a C&P exam. I've had osteoarthritis of the left knee for over 30 years I also have a post-op ACL tear in the same knee I currently have a 50% service-connected disability rating for this knee over the past 10 months I begin having issues with my left ankle I was being treated for gout but I felt that there was something other than gout going on with my ankle because he was unstable and giving way I was finally able to convince medical staff to give me an MRI turns out I have a grade 2 sprain of the anterior talofibular ligament I also have a grade-one sprain of the posterior talofibular ligament also a longitudinal tear of the peroneus brevis tendon I file the secondary claim for my ankle connecting it to my knee I was referred to physical therapy based on abnormal gait mechanics do you feel I filed my claim under proper circumstances , I would appreciate your feed back ?

If you provide a nexus letter will the supporting studies and the va drs disagree, how is that possible, They are disagreeing with established case studies that support your disability. I guess we just NOD with DENORVO review because the va dr is ignoring established case study and supporting evidence that you provided. But let's be honest here. The VA doctor does not work for the veteran. They work for the VA and they work to try to discredit the veterand deny his claim.
