- In this video I struggle with trying to fly long range FPV, and this is basically all this video is about. At least I didn't lose a drone, but I did meet a very upset lady on a horse.

I have had cops called on me for riding dirt bikes in my own yard. The caller apparently complained that I was scaring their horse on purpose. So I sit there with two cops chatting about it and 20 minutes into "dealing" with them another person goes by on a horse. No cars, no reason for the horse to be afraid but it starts losing it's shit and almost throws the person. I point to the scene going down and say "looks like the horses are the problem not me" and the cop laughs and says yeah then leaves. The world is not going to bend to your will. If you enjoy riding potentially dangerous animals then I'm all for you being able to do that but I want the same right to ride my potentially dangerous vehicle or fly my drones. Now days we have electric to help keep the Karens at bay but sometimes nothing makes them happy but others misery.
The best part of FPV is doing things again when you're unsure of why they happened before. WHAT A RUSH!!!! FPV is like dating the girl that's out of your league. Ypu know eventually it's gonna REALLY hurt bad, but you just can't stop because it feels so good while it's happening.

Horses and their owners seem to really hate drones. We have a local guy who harasses us at a local park that is designated for Drone flying. He keeps claiming that we are flying over his horses and scaring them (it's not us. We can't/wouldn't fly that sort of distance from the park). It's gonna be great with Remote ID and whatever app's become the favorite tool of horse owners.
Watch out for those horse ladies, they're ruthless. And bro, motor come off?!

That vifly beeper with the vuilt in battery that wores to your fc is a must....and u can setup to switch so even if battery is plugged in it goes off loid as hell and will go for up to 30 hrs and turn off at night and back on in morning........absolute must

Hey great to see you back , your videos are always great. like a mini sitcom , I check every day for a new content. That Karen was not so bad. She should let her horse get used to noise from any object that’s flying or driving, the animals really don’t care. Well I’m going to check and see if I have any loose screws…
She was pretty bad. She tried to accuse him of possibly being the person that “swooped down to scare the horses”.
Suggestion, take it to 400 ft, fly it directly over her field and horses. Then ask her where it is. She won’t be able to find it because she doesn’t know WTF she’s talking about.

I've noticed some animals like elk and cows are TERRIFIED of drones. Dogs seem to be OK with them.

Loving this channel. Imho Inav > Betaflight for getting drones back home. Pawel Spychalski coded it so that motor screws actually tighten.
I had iNav on my previous build, and it didn't return to home haha. Also I tried flashing iNav on this one, and couldn't get a motor to spin, and the way you have to map resources in iNav is so stupid I just decided to flash beta flight 4.4 because I was able to get the GPS rescue to work pretty well after some adjustments.
That lady was the worst! Just out for a fight. True sky Karen. I’ve only encountered 1 so far screaming at me across a field to keep away from her repeatedly. Her husband yelled at her to shut up and keep walking. Haha.

You have more patience than I do. If someone starts with me I will try to be nice until they act like she did. Then they can go" F" themselves. God forbid that everyone cater to there hobby of riding horses.
Turn your motor beaper off. U have a real beeper. Youll burn a motor up for no reason while ur lookin for ur qaud. And use your dvr footage as well to find ur qaud. Gps doesnt help as much as u think. Good beeper and dvr footage and ive never lost a qaud yet.
I question if that lady got swooped by a drone. Its possible some jackass came down and orbited her but it's a little sus. It's true that spooked horses are a real concern for riders and often people do things near horses causing risk they are unaware of. Sometimes the horses will even hurt themselves even with out a rider. I think she had a touchy nerve about that type of thing. In the future maybe walking over and trying to be more friendly so you weren't both yelling at each other from a distance might be better. Kinda trying to connect with her as a person and apologizing for the previous pilot. Classic de-escalation techniques. Not saying that's your responsibility, cause it isn't. But it is a good way to be a human. It's F**king tough though, and sometimes the person is stuck in mad mode and can't break out. I like to think that later they reflect a bit and think "hey that guy wasn't so bad" after they've had time to cool off. That thing where she was saying she didn't believe you was rude and ridiculous. She clearly wasn't thinking logically. GL Love your videos. Keep flying
Hey man, nice missions starting LRs. Love your story line. Sorry to hear that about your crash. I believe it it making a lot of vibration on the motor and it loosened the bolts. Try putting some thread locker and also some 3d prints on the arms. All the best to your next one.
Dude how many FAA rules do you break on a daily basis? Ever heard of bvlos or max of 300 ft altitude. They require a waiver from the FAA to be legal.
This vid came across my screen so I clicked on to watch and here is my take .
One can easily blame this on the FAA themselves as they still refuse to educate the public on the regulations and rules and when we fly they expect us to educate the public on the regs and rules that btw the FAA themselves still do not understand . ( the constant dreaded drone language needs to stop )
In some cases people need to have documents to show the Karen minded people like this what the regs and rules are and why we do what we do and how it is indeed our Right to fly as much ( in this case ) as it is hers to ride a horse .
Unless that park has some sort of rules about quads/model aircraft ( everyone needs to stop the DRONE name btw ) you have as much right to be there as they do . But it is up to the individual and one could potentially go to those who care for the Park and get ( written ) permission to fly just for this reason ( whether you need to or not ) being more proactive in gaining docs or even a open permission goes a long way , especially when dealing with people who think they are privileged .
