Hi, just out of interest my transit custom has just thrown the drive to clean message, no issues with the van, not even any smoke, but I'm curious as to if going for a drive and letting the van do its thing is good enough or is it recommend to get a cleaning like this done?
@@ORileysAutos sorry I don't think I phrased it correctly, I was questioning which is better or if both process's are equally as good, I know why the dpf needs a regen but is chemical cleaning that you have done in this video better than doing the drive to clean process?

My transit custom has gone into limp mode with a dpf fault of 206%, what does a dpf clean cost?
These are one of the most expensive vehicles to do as you usually need a vaporizer and glow plugs too

Impossible to say without diagnostic tests.

@Stuart81 yes the chemical clean is better but it's only needed if it can't clean itself
