    My G3/G3C's are two of the most reliable and accurate 9mm pistols that I own. They digest every ammo that I put through them with no qualms, I do like the manual thumb safety as I use it on all my pistols. The trigger is very easy to get used to and helps in its accuracy. Good choice.

    My very first gun was the Taurus G3C to be honest I wanted a Glock or Sig and even looked at some 1911’s but with price in mind I reluctantly purchased the G3C but let me tell you it’s been great and I Love it I’ve put over 1500 rounds of various ammunition thru it without a single issue not One. My only complaints would be the thumb safety and barrel finish I’ve since polished my barrel. It’s a EDC gun for me and I trust it 100 percent of the time even though I now own gen 5 Glock 20 and a Glock 42 I still grab my G3C when I leave the house !! Just thought I’d share my experience with Taurus. I love your channel and I want to thank you for all the great test and information you share especially about Ammo God Bless

    Hahahaha it's funny how none of these guys want to "torture" test their "good" guns. But as far as I'm concerned, my G3 has a couple thousand rounds through it and works perfectly. I like the second strike feature and the safety. The safety is essential. Don't think that gun can't be taken from you! A safety on will make the person that took it from you waste on average 10-18 seconds before they figure out how to make I shoot. Giving you time to press a knife attack to get your gun back. People often forget that. I prefer a safety and second strike capability for light primer strikes and also gun take aways.

    • @ToolsandTargets
      @ToolsandTargets  Год назад

      Yeah, that's more a "problem" of having enough sense to know there's a difference between dragging a sub $300 gun through the gravel and a $1000+ gun through the gravel. Has nothing to do with worrying about either one of em failing. A manual thumb safety on something like this is absolute trash. I would never buy a striker fired gun like this with a manual safety if it weren't for RUclips.

    Taurus G3 is still the best bang for the buck carry and the newer TORO and threaded version are really nice too. Taurus revamped their Custmer service and built a new USA factory that has been putting out great pistols for several years now. Their TX 22 is killing it as well as the G series and the GX4. I believe are all made at that Bainbridge, Georgia USA plant.

    I got a G3C as my second ever pistol, and I've been pretty happy with it. Had a bit of a problem with feeding, 'til I realized I was limp wristing; fixed my grip, fixed the issue. A bit snappy, but I hear all 9mm compacts are a bit snappy. Love that Taurus gave me 3 mags for my money, which was around $300.
    A lot of people complain about Taurus, but my G3C is still a favorite of mine and it's one of my EDCs. Seeing this I might consider a full sized G3... but I think I'll get a Dagger first; I don't even have a Glock, let alone a clone yet.

    Nice vid tools. The G3's trigger break is kind of far back. I've found if I hold it in my palm like most full size pistols I'll shoot to the left or low sometimes. I've started adjusting my hold so I put it in my right hand like normal and then rotate my hand slightly clockwise and grip it thet way. Then i dont pull it to the left any or very little. I use the restrike on that gun for practice in my house just sitting watching TV or whatever. Taurus says it is ok to do it without dummy rounds. Pull the trigger aiming at a light switch or something and watch the front sight to see if it holds on target. Try adjusting your hold snd see if your front sight moves when pulling the trigger twisting your hold a tad vs not twisting it and see how you do each way. Just an idea. Rock on brother.

    Nice video Tools. I agree with your dislike of external safeties on not only this gun but all of them. Unless you practice with these things until it becomes natural to thumb the safety off it's going to get you in trouble. That's even if it's already off. It has to be 2nd nature. Doesn't do any good to pull your sidearm and pull the trigger and nothing happens because the safety is on. Theses are precious seconds you won't get back.
    Be vigilant and always be safe my friend.

    I have a g3c toro. I stuck to my guns (no pun intended) whe. I bought it, almost 1000 rounds through it. I have one of the budget-affected ones where it's ammo sensitive, but loves my hst 124gr +p ammo. It has aftermarket sight support that are compatible with glock 19s. However, aftermarket support otherwise is nothing when compared to sig, glock, or S&W

      I paid $169 at my LGS during his after Chrismas 2016 Sale for my G2C. It has roughly 6,000 rounds with no real issue. The trigger is a little spongy feeling and I had to add some shrink tubing to the trigger (to make it easier for me to fully disengage the trigger safety lever), but that was because of the way I grip a pistol.
      I think he has the G3C now for $225.
