Stumbling upon the Frederick and Catherine tale was a mistake as I was listening to your dulcet tones and falling asleep. That woman in the story enraged me so much I wound up staying awake for another hour. I love these old tales and fables. Thank you so much for recording these.

Do you ever wonder if maybe so many mythical creatures go the route of "give me your first born child" as like... A cultural thing? Maybe it's a bartering joke, where you're supposed to be like "no! Not my baby! Take this Lui vaton (idk, I can't afford that stuff) instead!!" And since usually these are deals made with royalty, it makes more sense as a joke from how ridiculously filthy rich they were.
