I lived in Sumerlin on Town Center Dr from 2022 - 2023, and it was gorgeous! A few fond memories: the Coffee Bean within walking distance from my apartment, the beautiful, shaded park across the street from my place, the walk to downtown Sumerlin. The one thing I noticed-and that a lot of people talked about-was the lack of quality healthcare in Sumerlin and Las Vegas in general. The city and county needs to do a better job attracting healthcare providers and hospitals to Las Vegas so that people have more choices, better access, and don't have to wait.
Las Vegas resident & native from 1988-2004. I do remember when Summerlin was just being built and there was no downtown area. It's fascinating to see how big it has grown now. I gather it is more expensive now. I remember homes going for for $250,000-$300,00 in the mid 1990s. It's nearly double or triple that now. Thanks for the tour.
Fun drive along! When we visit our Vegas family, we usually stay at the M Resort. But, on our next trip in September, we are stay at Red Rock Resort (which we went to for dinner on our last trip). Are there some nice stores & restaurants within walking distance from the resort? Hard to tell from Google Maps. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Red Rock is awesome and yes! It's just a few minutes walk from Downtown Summerlin which has lots of great restaurants and shopping! Lots of amazing restaurants in Red Rock also!
