Just Flight is proud to announce that the A300B4 Professional for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now in development. In this video, we show some of the incredible detail our modeling and texture artists are putting into creating an accurate representation of the Airbus A300B4-200, including photo-realistic textures that give the aircraft an authentic wear-and-tear feel. We also provide an overview of what features you can expect to find in the A300B4 Professional upon release.

Stunning work! Love the idea of flying this in a shared cockpit with two friends! One suggestion: A tablet style EFB appears to be a bit misplaced in such an 70s flightdeck. Is there a possibility to build something more analogue with similar functionality? E.g. charts on a dedicated clipboard on the side window, a clipboard with performance tables, simbrief OFP etc. ? I'd love to see that kind of immersion.

The new latecoere in msfs has a literal note pad to use as an efb to control things
And just lights bae 146 has an option to hide its efb on the fly. And i think it will be the same on this
The scratches, and use marks, give the cockpit a realism I've not seen in an Airbus flight model before. Usually they seem very clean, like a new cellphone or computer. I like this change and it makes me want to take a closer look.

@@wanderer5200 I suggest checking it out, it's one of the most detailed aircraft for MSFS and it's a very faithful recreation of the A320-200.

textures and flight model are two different things. Great textures doesn't equal good flight model and vice versa.

It was astonishing to watch the development for the P3D simulator, back then and it was a bit sad when it was canceled. Though, I did think it was for the better. Now, this video confirmed my thoughts were right. It's a marvelous new model and I can't wait to see it in the sim. Hope the proposed airline liveries for the P3D version will be done here as welk, as I'd love to see Malaysian Airline System or Malaysia Airlines.

I'm a great fan of vintage airliners and its hard to see so few people interested in them in the MSFS space. Thankyou so much for continuing to bring us more vintage airliners on top of the F28/146!!! I just hope that one day the VC10 / 707 might also be on the list

Very excited to see an airbus with flight engineer station.
After a several months lapse in simming due to illness and a system rebuild I needed to reload all the software I had purchased. Of all the sites I had done business with most acted like they had never heard of me. Justflight had kept my account and had all my order history. Thanks, it felt great to get things loaded on my new system with no hassles from Justflight.
Really excited for this one as my father flew this one at Air Inter. Hope you include this livery in the initial package. Thanks again to the Just Flight team !

It certainly looks like a work of art! But for me, I’m concerned about the amount of projects and the timings- I’m still eagerly awaiting the Tomahawk let alone the Tornado and obviously the Vulcan, but with other developers (inibuilds) doing a similar aircraft to this I wonder if the other more unique projects should take precedence? Will we see further updates on these other projects soon?
Brother, I am going to put MSFS on hiatus. I have had enough with these developers and their poor business models.
Common says, if someone already has a particular product on the market already or in the process of development, I will not fight for that same market share if I can establish and benefit from a totally different market. Not these guys. They see one dev doing a specific plane and they must now develop the exact same plane...
Headwind vs Aerosoft for example. They've now decided to swap projects of the same over-done a330. Meanwhile...A342, A343, A345, A346, A358/9/X, B742/3, B744, B748, B752/3, B762/3, B764, B772/3, B77L/W. B788/9/X
Damn, even a DC-10/MD-11 so we can do some cargo ops and finally have the first, proper high fidelity or even full study level heavy, LH airliner three, approaching four years after the launch of MSFS? Nope.
Meanwhile X-Plane 12 simmers have an abundance of high fidelity and study sim classic, modern-classic and modern airliners to pick from and it didn't take their devs 2, 3 and 4 plus years to produce each one.
Sorry for the long msg but I feel kinda upset and disappointed as hell bro. Really do.

I agree though. Who thought we'd have a sim where most aircraft/sceneries will eventually be developed by multiple developers, thus inventivizing better quality and giving simmers a choice. Much better than the FS9/FSX days where the first mover owned that plane or airport and had no worries about someone releasing a better version.
Most of the add-ons for xp are from veteran xp developers. They're used to it. All the msfs developers started at the same time. They will become more efficient. Many of the planes you listed are almost there.

Next couple of months on the RJ hopefully. When the F28 releases it frees some of us up to head back to the RJ and get that over the line too.
@@justflight Nice good to hear. I just thought of one thing for the A300B4. Would you be able to provide on release in the user manual as many real world routes as you can by airline, similar to what iniBuilds did with the AN225? Since this plane is vintage, I am not sure how hard it would be for the average person to compose a good number of real world routes this plane flew. Thanks.

While I think these planes are cool and legends in the commercial aviation world, you are a minority. I want them too...AFTER I get just ONE modern-classic airliner like the A343, A346, B772/3. B744 or MD-11. W still have NONE after three coming up to FOUR whole years. Any one of the aforementioned airliners will sell in far greater numbers than a 707, 727 or 737 (100-400). Far more numbers which will in turn, help fund the niche aircraft you yearn for, maybe helping them to hire more competent staff to accelerate future releases so you won't have to wait 4z 5, 6 or even 10+ years for your favourite aircraft but unfortunately while these guys are extremely academically intelligent, they really seem to lack a business mind.
@@trin162 Very true, but there is a 777, MD-11 and 744 on dev. The 340 would be nice in MSFS, but a lot of us simmers fly the toliss 346 in XP, and it’s well loved. I think it’s very good, as I’ve flown a bunch of flights with it. Ik that FJS is working on their 722 and 732 to be comp with XP12, but it seems to be months out. Just wondering if anyone else is gonna work on a classic like this. Really looking forward to the first planes you mentioned tho, I hope the 777 is out sooner or later with the MD-11
@@CenterofAviation Hey man, thanks for your response. I know my opinion on this may not be popular with some so I appreciate your stance. Regardi g the 777 and such, I know PMDG has them in development but imo, its a monopoly as it seems no other dev has intentions to fasttrack a decent high fidelity 747 classic family (cargo ops would be nice). PMDG imo...take an unnecessarily long time to release one plane but...as a loyal paying customer, I still support them and won't complain too much.
In regards to the A340 family...I meant having them for MSFS. We never had one for FSX or P3D. Now MSFS looks to be A300/310, A320 and A330 simulator. Only airbus I am looking forward to is the A380 and the insult is it is totally free and will be a superior product to 95% of the different versions of the same 3-4 year + payware aircraft from multiple devs.
Slightly bitter so I do apologise for my tone on this but yeah...I'm going to buy some more ram and begin my X-Plane 12 journey and wait another 5 years until a developer finally releases so FBW/PMDG/Aerosoft level 757s/767s/787s/340s/350s. X-Plane has them all already so only logical thing to do until MSFS dev pull their fingers out and increase the size of their teams.

If you had the wise sense to put forward your opinions in a civil and sensible manner we'd be happy to answer your questions and give you more feedback on why this aircraft has been selected for development and publishing. You suggest we lack a business mind we haven't done too badly given we've been in this business for over 27 years now and prospered for many of those years whilst other less fortunate devs and publishers have perished or had to readjust their business strategies. This announcement has been extremely popular, the aircraft we believe will be immense and amazingly popular. It's a totally different beast to the offering that inibuilds will be developing, we wish them all the best with their model. There is room for both, rest assured. Alongside this we also have such a/c as the 146 Pro, RJ Professional, Avro Vulcan, P38 Tomahawk, F70/100 all in development and all due to release in the coming months and years. A mixed bag and a selection that will sever the community nicely. If this isn't for you then that's fine, subjectively you have your right to state that, that's fine. We'll rest peacefully knowing that this is the perfect choice for us, knowing the work put into the project now and going forward will be of the highest quality and the vast majority of the community are excited and right behind us once again. Thank you.

You've stated that the announcement of your A300 has been well received by the FS Community. I disagree, unless you are only referring to those who have never, do not and will never be critical of you. Have you not noticed the culture among the most vocal, same ole members within the FS community? They agree with any and everything you devs say and do. They even come to your defense like minions lol. It's really sad and it gives an inaccurate temperature of where the overall, general consensus is.
Don't believe me? Do what you should have done prior to starting this A300 endeavour and start a poll on every FS community forum that you can find and list the vast array of commercial, long-haul airliners below:

I guarantee you, the A300 will be one of the least popular aircraft. And something tells me that you are fully aware of this. So, I am left to speculate, given despite your long-winded, offended response to my honest comments which were not ploys to provoke in no shape or manner, still, in typical MSFS fashion, chose not to explain why you chose an unpopular aircraft that is being done by another developer; speaking of which I couldn't care less how you sugar-coat it an Airbusz A300, is an Airbus A300. Yes there are changes, upgrade and differences but it is the same aircraft. The same. And I wish the vast majority of the FS community of us PAYING customers would start to become equally as vocal as the same ole, regular super fans who agree with everything you devs do and say without any critique or pushback. This is something I have witness for years and years. The moment someone give an opinion that differs from the same people you claim make up the entire community, they attack us and defend you devs at all costs. That my friend, is not the true representation of the entire community. It is pandering. I am being very forthcoming right now. I do not have any grudge, vendetta or personal affliction towards you guys at JustFlight.
But try my suggestion. Make poll. I dont understand who you thought you'd be pleasantly surprising. Did you perform the necessary research to test the temperature of the community and ask what they yearned for the most? Nooo. I must have missed it if you did. That's fine. A bi of competition never hurt anyone and we wish inibuilds all the best with their A300, which remember, is very different to this one, we'd not be developing the exact same version but these two versions will be able to co-exist and play nicely together. And you guys get even more choice. Thanks for your feedback.

@@bluelights85 I moved to the Isle of Man 8 years ago and used to see them daily (West Atlantic doing the mail runs) until eventually replaced by the ATR and a 733. ATPs are awesome! The last passenger operator was Nextjet from Sweden, all the way until 2017 or 2018 if I am not mistaken.

Guys, IIRC we were promised the UNS-1 "soon after the release of the BAe 146". That was some 12-18 months ago now? I for one will not be purchasing any more incomplete aircraft - the lack of the UNS-1 for so long since release is ridiculous. Timeline please.
You were promised it yes but we didn't give a timescale. It's in development now, it won't be long. It's being developed by a third party and requires a lot of testing, re-working, re-testing etc. We'd have hoped to have it out by now for sure but these things happen, it will be coming soon but no timeline because if we do and we miss any given date we'll be lambasted once again. Sorry for the delay. The aircraft wasn't incomplete on release, it was exactly as the 146 that we modelled came. We agreed to do the extra FMC because a lot of people wan't that as an option. Thank you.

why choose the a300 when everyone knew inibuilds was making one, yall should have made a 747-200, 727, 707 etc. if you really wanted to make an old school plane, also would have made you more sales $$$
Thanks for the advice there. For your information we chose the A300B4 around five years ago and much work was done preparing it for a P3D release. Things changed when MSFS released and it became clear we'd not get much return on our investment for that platform so focus and plans shifted to an MSFS version. It's only now we've got to the point when we were ready to announce it though. Also it's very different to the IB version, and good luck to those guys with that one. We'll do nicely thanks on the $$$ front, don't worry about that. News soon from us about our 747 that's been knocking around for a while. Thank you.
