Yes, but if we refer to every gaming console as a Nintendo, it will become part of the common lexicon, and Nintendo will lose their trademark. I'm doing my part! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go play Sonic 3 and Knuckles on my Nintendo.
For those who dont know, these early Taiwan clones have high value because they are true full chipset clones (their chips are interchangeable with real Famicom parts). The later mid 90s ones which are all made in a single chip (NOAC - nes on a chip) are of very low value and quality. So if you have such an early famiclone dont give it away or pass it as unworthy, unlike the NOAC ones.
Was never really an avid gamer, but I deeply admire and respect the time, effort, and attention to detail that you put forth into this restoration. Bravo Zulu, my man. Bravo Zulu.
That was SO satisfying to watch, a complete restoration not just someone scrubbing and retrobriting some plastic. Laughed out loud that you preserved all the dust bunnies in a tupperware with as much care as you took of not losing the screws
I don't usually watch videos like this, but this was incredibly satisfying to watch. I didn't think the circuit boards could be cleaned in that manner, especially the power supply. I've never seen such a deep cleaning of any electronic. I thought I was a patient person, but you have WAY more patience than I ever will and you know your stuff. God-like of a job! If I knew what you know when I was younger, I would have saved tons of electronics because people are constantly throwing away stuff all the time in my city. One time someone had a flood in their basement and all their consoles got soaked. Only one was still working after it dried. They ended up throwing the rest of the consoles away.

The only part I really question is the polishing but that's only because I assume this famiclone had a matte finish like most 90s consoles originally. Regardless, the time, effort and care put into this is frankly incredible.

A note about reassembly with self-tapping screws. Don't just screw them in, turn them backwards a little bit until you feel the screw drop into the old thread, then turn forward. If done correctly the screw turns easily and doesn't make new threads and soon strip the thread out completely.
When I have a bad thread on ABS I put a drop of acetone in the hole and it a bit to soften. Once it's dry or mostly dry, I'll re-tap the hole. If it's other plastics.... What's a little chloroform between friends! (seriously plastic and CORRECT solvent welding can do wonders)

Good job, but as a tip, when you polish the plastic of the consoles you are eliminating the roughness that they have in their design. Due to the fur and fluff that gets stuck in the console, the heating of the console increases, and if you pay attention, the solders of the power sockets loosen due to this heat, and as a result, the power part sparks and the final damage occours due to the interruptions and rapid connections of the electricity .Of course, the other dirt was due to being in storage for 30 years and the damage of liquid leaking into it.🧡

Oh wow. Thats an.... IQ502, right? I havent seen one of these in years. Im a collector of nintendo consoles, but i havent managed to lay my hands on this one yet. Really cool to see! Cant wait to see it work again.
Watching this beautiful video brings back the best memories of my childhood, I still remember when I went to my friend's house to play with his PlayStation 1 every afternoon after leaving school 😎😎
I very impressed by the you restore this game cancel back to his former days. Also it's impressive the way you have all the tools to get the job done right. I hope you do a review video on your tools that made this game restoring possible.
Did you put the colored buttons back in the wrong positions? Before it was cleaned the yellow buttons were left and up (the Y and X of a SNES controller.) After your restoration they are left and down (Y and B.) What do the extra buttons do anyway? Are they turbo (repeat) buttons for A and B? There's only a single 8-bit shift register on the circuit board (at least that's what it looks like; I can't make out any numbers on the chip.) That would imply that they can't be extra inputs, except the contacts lead directly to pins on the shift register. Incredible restoration. The final console at the end looks fantastic.
It's hard to imagine that this particular console can actually be restored, I'm impressed, this console to anyone is pretty much unfixable, keep up a great job, you are incredible 💪👍🙂
I love watching restoration videos and your attention to detail was greatly appreciated. I feel like I learned a lot just from following along. Would love to see more from you!

The amount of tools used (and the knowledge about them), the variety of chemicals and the overall precision... This deserves respect. The precision in soldering is impeccable. Awesome job
Actuallly it isn't. He neglected to use flux in so many spots where having flux would have made the connections even better.
I very impressed by the you restore this game cancel back to his former days. Also it's impressive the way you have all the tools to get the job done right. I hope you do a review video on your tools that made this game restoring possible.

My honor u enjoyed 💙
I believe no one can do the way you did it . The word Perfect is still not enough to describe ur amazing work ❤ well done 👍
Thank you so much my dear friend from DUBAI, I hope you will enjoy next videos of channel in future too. 💙🤍
Did you put the colored buttons back in the wrong positions? Before it was cleaned the yellow buttons were left and up (the Y and X of a SNES controller.) After your restoration they are left and down (Y and B.)
What do the extra buttons do anyway? Are they turbo (repeat) buttons for A and B? There's only a single 8-bit shift register on the circuit board (at least that's what it looks like; I can't make out any numbers on the chip.) That would imply that they can't be extra inputs, except the contacts lead directly to pins on the shift register.
Incredible restoration. The final console at the end looks fantastic.
Yes it was my bad, I put them in a wrong place, and they are turbo buttons for repeat. it's my honor you enjoyed BRO💙💙
Now that is a deep clean! Great restoration, loved it!
Thank u Jaapio for the time u allocated watching the video I hope have u in the channel for the next videos too💙💙
Every old game machine or machines need repairs like this . Keep repairing everything great work 💯

It's hard to imagine that this particular console can actually be restored, I'm impressed, this console to anyone is pretty much unfixable, keep up a great job, you are incredible 💪👍🙂
You restored this into what i call elegance, minwhile over 67years Nigeria my country cant boast about having 48hours stable Electricity
I wouldn't have thought this was possible! Not without having to replace some of the chipsets, anyway. Amazing work!
Me too at first but surprisingly it was fine😅😅
This is the finest dedication that I have seen in a while. You have my deepest respect ❤
Thank you for watching the video 💙😁😁

I am an electronics engineer and I have electronics repair and hardware restauration projects like these, but the patience for every little detail that you have here is insane! Really good job man, Wow!

@@RestoFix No problem my man, It's your work 💜
I have never seen a more thorough cleaning job in my life.. Well done sir.
Wow, thanks!💙
Great job and Video 👍
it's my honor you liked it Dear friend💙
Отличная рестоврация! Нужно еще!!!
Thank you, I will keep going 💛
Going the extra mile repairing and cleaning the chipsets was very impressive.
Glad you liked it 💙
The amount of tools used (and the knowledge about them), the variety of chemicals and the overall precision... This deserves respect. I've done plastic reconstruction but never with epoxy, only with same-plastic melting and "sculpting". The metal core inside such plastic reconstruction is a must, I can confirm that. :) Congrats! Dear friend, your careful watching of the video is very valuable for me, and I am grateful that you observed the epoxy in such detail, because even though it was not the best part of my video, it was very valuable for me, and the fact that you paid attention to it is very satisfying for me. Thank you❤️
@@RestoFix Thank you for such an invested reply. I feel appreciated as a viewer and a fellow retrocomputer enthusiast who also fixes equipment. :) I appreciate your reply and your work. Cheers. :)
it is my honor and the less that I can do to appreciate the time you allocated to my video💙,
@@RestoFix I appreciate your wording rooted in gratitude and in respect towards higher values. I recognize it with joy. Thank you. :) Same here, dear new friend.
