It is very strange when a stand-up comedian tells his audience that they don't know what funny is, and in the same breath turn around and start berating their fans! Telling them that their life is going nowhere! Their families will suffer because they're never going to be anybody!
Telling these people the reason they're always going to be poor is because they're not smart enough to get a whole bunch of dumb people to send them money! They're always going to look at their audience as a bunch of poor losers! I believe in Tom's eyes, he has zero respect for his audience, and everyday he plots and schemes on a different way to monetize the poor's, trying everything in his power to somehow get another dollar out of them!
Because that's all the fans are to him. Someone to take advantage of! When you see these guys and they're selling merch, there's a reason why there's such a vast difference between their cheapest and they're most expensive merch. The price starts at $5 and goes to 1,000.
In their mind, buying a ticket for their show, and paying monthly for the membership to the podcast, that's just not enough! If you got $10 in your pocket. Tom is going to try and get you to spend 5 out of your last 10! At the end of the day you're just a bunch of ungrateful losers! You should consider yourself lucky that he's even letting you hear his comedy genius! Now pay up!

Having the rug pulled out from under him in that way had to be oddly humbling. It could make a performer keep themselves a bit in check by continuing to grow the fanbase organically, which is the harder road to having success, but better far a career in the long run. Like the theme of this video, we see what’s happening for those who have the quicker rise in popularity, as the over exposure leads to burning out, as the need to keep putting out content at a pace that’s not sustainable messes with the process of developing new ideas & material. He’s very aware of those pitfalls, as they are happening all around him.

Cedric the entertainer not having a netflix special available = lie. 3000 books a year as a kid = lie. Cedric and Kevin Heart never performing at Phat Tuesdays = lie. Kat removing a grape scene from friday = lie. Ricky smiley never thinking he got money mike role = lie. going to state college at 7 years old = lie. 2000 a day selling stolen radios = lie. Him and Ludacris having an illuminati meeting = lie. Kevin being a plant who never paid dues = lie. 95% of what he said in that interview was all cap. This whole thing with raunchy profane standups calling the top hollywood comedians sellouts has always cracked me up. Because any real comedian is going to tell you doing clean standup is alot harder and even that doesn't aways transition into tv skits or series, or especially hollywood movies. Not everyone has that ability range or personality appeal. Thats why Kat will never be the all time greatest comedian, he's not even in my top 10. But off the top of my head Guys like Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle, Jerry Seinfeld, basically guys who can do it ALL are among the greats imo. The only thing Kat DIDN"T lie about was Steve Harvey stealing jokes and doing people dirty. But you think Kat can do a better job hosting Family Feud? Come on.... Kat will always just be known as a raunchy standup, and he mostly appeals to the black audience and he is bitter about these other comedians being famous around the world, literally. Tifanny Haddish is right, he pulled a Charleston White publicity stunt for his upcoming tour. IMO the troll internet is simply just rooting for the troll again which is how Trump got elected.
