    I like this but I'm trying to understand why you didn't sew a tube, like a bargello quilt and THEN cut into 2.5" strips?

    • @CarolThelen
      @CarolThelen  2 года назад +3

      When I make bargello quilts I like to have fabric swatches and charts of the fabric order. For me this makes it eay to make a tube and cut strips. I do this in my Bargello video
      ruclips.net/video/ucQ3c5J-nMc/видео.html
      For this quilt there are 35 different color combinations and I found it easier to just cut each one separately. Thanks for watching.

    I'm so excited about this pattern and your excellent explanation of it. I've been wanting to make one for a long time now and I might actually be able to now. I'm going to try bigger blocks and FQ in mine if I can figure it out haha definitely will see if it works out on paper 1st.

    • @CarolThelen
      @CarolThelen  2 года назад +1

      Bigger blocks should work out fine. Either make the strips larger or add strips to the strip set. I agree about tryig it on paper first! Thanks for watching.

    Love your tutorials. There are 156 border 6 1/6 strips. Did you have to cut more to complete the border?

    • @CarolThelen

      You know I really can't remember but I don't recall having to cut more. I would go check it but I've already given the quilt away. Thanks for watching.
