That's a fact. But I have mine for about 3 years now and leave it on 99% of the time. It still gets hot even when no signal is present but still works... And its noticeably hot (but not to the point it worries me).
Well done and thanks....interesting the potentiometer looks unserviceable....mine "scratches" when I turn the volume now.... I've had for a bit over a year and I will admit, since it is connected to my laptop that is my DAW....it is ALWAYS on...but still.....I was going to spray Deoxit in it, but your video saved me the time of disassembly. I've generally been happy with the unit........but i do wish the volume knob had a bit more tension in the knob as I think it turns too easily....
Wow, I might as well written what you have. I also leave it ALWAYS on and also have a master volume scratchy pot... I came to this video because of that! I wonder if this problem could be from never switching it off... The only good thing I can tell you is that I have that pot scratching for longer than when it wasn't scratching. And it kept stable, but today one of my speakers wasn't working properly and I found out it was because the main volume knob needed a little touch.
it is serviceable, I also had a scratch problem after 2 years of use and on all controllers I put a few drops of Ballistol Universalöl and the problem disappeared
I just bought one of these, and I love it. There's just a tiny issue with it. At lowish volume, at a certain position of the knob - just before 9 o'clock - the left speaker volume lags behind, so the right speaker is slightly louder at around that position. Now that I heard it, it's really annoying. Every time a sweep past that small position, I hear the volume go right, and then back to center.
That's not rare for monitor controllers with analog stereo volume knob, at lower prices. It should help to turn your speaker volumes down lower, so that the Mackie Big Knob needs to be turned up higher. Remember, a monitor controller volume knob is an "attenuator" (it lowers the natural full volume). So you get best results overall by using it between half to full volume position
@Sp33dy Beatz Nah man, i got the ''Audio-Technica ATH-M40 X '' ( 35 Ohm Only ) naked without any audio interface for now works great with PC jack 3.5mm / My phone so you dont need to worry about the Volume reduction ( Not loud ''Enough'' ) caused by the High Impedance.
People complain online that the unit can get quite hot. Have you noticed any heat issues?

yes, it gets hot during work, but in 2-3 years I have never stopped it for rest and there are no problems
This is what I call a review.
the quality for headphones is good or i should buy a separate dac/amp?
Rodolac ....has built in DAC 24 bit 192khz , it's standard quality for studio processing, so the answer is yes

I have the same problem

What makes you want to buy the 250 ohm ones over the 50?
Of course it can! Even the power reserve will remain.
I think you took the unboxing a bit too far. Can't wait to try out mine this weekend at the home studio.
How's your experience
@@lucifer4097 Corona is sabotaging my first try-out. :( I'll let you know as soon as I'm back at the studio.
What a UnBoX
