Right? That was an awesome example of how to defend a client. After watching the whole thing unfold and learn about the verdict, my mind immediately went back to opening arguments when his lawyer confidently stated that when all is said and done, the jury will find him innocent. At the time I thought the lawyer was nuts. I didn't know he was preparing a case to prove his client is nuts. Awesome job.

Lol definitely a neck beard incel...
I am so curious if he thinks he was “trying to save Sabrina” from something he saw in her window. Maybe another guy he didn’t like was in there with her; (benefit of the doubt he’s innocent so pretend and let’s assume Dylan was beating Sabrina )
He breaks into the window to save Sabrina but ends up giving the “real killer” an easy exit. He thinks he’s saving her but ultimately WHY was he outside of Sabrina’s window, why in the 21st century with cellphones and cameras, why wouldn’t you record what you saw BEFORE you get involved and or call the cops for help.
I think he’s convinced what ever happened, happened because he was trying to be a hero in the moment.... and his brain is filling in his own blanks. He cannot accept what happened. He has convinced himself, via no memory that he did what he did either out of love to save someone, or a prank gone wrong that he got tangled up in right at the moment his mania blacked him out.
Traumas to the mind can cause interesting things to our cognitive dissonance. If this was not premeditated and just something normal that got out of hand, the brain can completely convince itself it was a dream and not real. It can get stored in a locked out area we cannot access freely to save ourselves from the traumas we caused ourselves. Self preservation I think.
His attitude needs an adjustment. Regardless of his innocence or guilt, the level of disrespect he has to the judicial system offers no room for him to prove he is safe to interact with the public. If he can’t muster respect for a judge or the court house, how can he respect the laws put in place to keep order, how can he expect the court to see this case as something that scared the man into being a stand up citizen, if he can’t say 1 sentence without swearing.

He seems to believe he’s smarter than everyone, but does coherently know when they’re trying to twist his words into omission. He seems to be looking through his brow when he’s angry, and is more upset with the court room than the fact that his friend was murdered (by someone who he believes isn’t him).
A sociopath would go along with the narrative and change the perception via emotions they can manipulate. He’s not trying to manipulate via emotion it’s more fact driven and he’s truly trying to get the jury to second guess the validity that it’s him who did it. He answers everything matter of fact-

This guy’s parents (dad) screwwwwwed him up at such a young age I don’t even think he’s capable of grasping the finality of the death of his “friend”.
I feel like an innocent man would be more concerned about his friends death and helping find the real person, rather than just playing like the smartest man in the room who thinks everyone is so stupid to think a human can kill another human.
It’s not a natural response, but that’s what they’re going for. He’s not the natural state of mind. His mind has been illusions and delusions of his reality since childhood. He’s been on a different set of train tracks than the rest of the people in the court. The psychologist put the nail in the coffin before any of this started.
My only complaint is when dealing with mental illness that causes a crime, I wish the court and the jury wouldn’t shut down to mental illness equates danger...
Mental illness for sociopaths and psychopaths can still have a long and non violent life. Resting on prison or a mental institution that treats patients like criminals while also admitting culturally they were not in control, their human instincts of fight or flight get triggered and the court room recognized they were not in control... but then don’t treat the person infront of them, who is in control at the moment, to be the same person who was out of control during the time of the crime.
I think this man is guilty and should goto prison, but guys like him are what breaks mental health professionals. When and if prison is the worst and they can’t stand it, send them to the mental health hospital for therapy and reform. Sure, make it daunting and longer than a prison sentence but also allow them to choose between the two places, and every time they change institutions they have to restart their whole sentence over again.

I think he’s attempting to bring the context of his stAtements back around to his narrative. He can’t do that without those tangents. Not sure if he did it to confuse the jury, or he genuinely believed his mental gymnastics makes sense.
I speak really disorganized, and take tangents to help the person I’m speaking to know the depth of where my thought process is coming from. Often times I confuse people before I’ve even started with the point of where I was going.
Friends and family know to listen to the beginning to understand where “my” theory is coming from, but ultimately all it does is help you understand my *thought-process* and not how to conclude an actual answer to the question 😂 I do this to help my wrong opinions sound almost right. I wonder if he does this to confuse those who are trying to follow along on purpose, or just to help communicate his thought process on how he got to his answer.

It's hard to believe that if this guy really has a mental disturbance, that he hasn't been treated at all over the last 4 years before this trial. Or has he been treated and then taken off his meds a few weeks before today to prove his case? And why plead not guilty and say he didn't do it... and yet say he's guilty but insane. Makes no sense to me.

It truly seems like he is playing insane. Just like Jody. They remember EVERYTHING in the world down to the color of shoe strings their worn in 1992. But when it comes to recounting the murder they committed.... opppps can't remember anything. Lies!

I’ve mentioned this before and I’ll say it again, the guy is bi-polar, that doesn’t mean he didn’t know what he was doing. But when in a manic state reality is “bendable” - I know this from personal experience spanning over thirty years of dealing with family members with this condition. I just don’t think his condition was ever “picked up” - it’s an absolutely awful condition for the sufferers and those around them. But that doesn’t exonerate him. He is as guilty beyond all doubt.

His defense attorney's explanation of how the "transcript" should come in as evidence is ludicrous! "Just because we're having a lengthy conversation about it, it should come in as evidence" WTH? That's absurd and definitely not a legal argument! At least the prosecutor is trying to end this and compromise.
