It's the finale of the 3 days of wildlife photography in my campervan series and we finish up at RSPB Titchwell Marsh on the north Norfolk coast to do a bit of bird photography with my Panasonic Lumix G9 and 100-400 telephoto lens.

Yes i know what you mean. This Pandemic changed our lives and we have to adjust to it. I'm a birding guide in Colombia and understand what you mean. But nevertheless you probably can still manage to keep doing videos even of urban birds. Good luck and i will be waiting for your new videos!!!

Yes it's handy in that regard but for some reason I feel safer charging mine via the charger plugged I to the powerbank and USB. Don't know why lol
Since the video I have bought 2 extra batteries for the G9 that are non genuine but have more Mah capacity than the genuine Panasonic ones.

I am starting to appreciate winter a bit more as I get older but the ones we get down South in the UK are just wet and urgh! I much prefer summer!

Thanks Steve! I only wish in some ways I had stayed longer which I would have but as you know its hard to really be in the zone when you are making a video at the same time. Always have my mind elsewhere... I look forward to a bit of time off from videos and hopefully a bit more photography in the coming weeks!
@@JoeMaranophotography Yeah I struggle with that too, shooting a vlog does distract from the photography. Having said that I do enjoy the video shooting side of things as well. Perhaps we should meet up in the New Year and shoot a joint vlog.

Just got this lens 2 days ago and I absolutely love it paired with my G9! I have the 100-300mm which is very good, but the 100-400mm is definitely an upgrade.
One day I might get the 200 2.8 or maybe move to Sony. Not sure but will be some time anyway :)
Nice! Upgrading to 300mm to 400mm is a lot of differents! 300 x 2 = 600 and 400 x 2 = 800mm. THAT IS ALOT OF REACH!

@@JPLamoureuxsTravels Haha it seems so! Yeah it's pretty decent. Stayed there with my son in the kids holidays recently. Toilets and showers are close by to where the touring bit is and it seems safe and secure. Not too badly priced either I think.
Camilla & I are seriously interested in getting a campervan awesome video great RSPB reserve nothing beats getting down to eye level though
Honestly as much as it doesn't get used enough with my busy lifestyle it's such a practical vehicle to have! Every journey cN be turned into an event! Even a short walk that you got to in a car can be made to last so much longer in the van as you can bring all your bits and have a nice lunch even inside the van with the table when it's pouring outside. You can also carry pretty much anything like a washing machine or furniture inside as well so they are just good all purpose vehicles too! Mine is a bit old but I really do love it and can totally recommend one! Agree with your eye level comment. I try to do this as much as possible although my stills from this trip were pretty poor as most of the ones I take whilst making RUclips videos are! It's hard work managing so much at once especially after being out in the cold of winter for a few days! Thanks for watching :)

@@CamillaI For sure! Hopefully the next vlog I will use the G9 and film in 4k just to see if people prefer that and the better autofocus.

One of the camera accessories for this kind of shooting is merino wool :-)
Never heard of that before! Do you mean for clothing?
@@JoeMaranophotography Yes! Just check your local sport or hunting stores for Merino Wool, typically underwear. Can be machine washed 40C of proper brand. Among my best investments.

@@JoeMaranophotography Yes!! This mother nature thing plus some engineering in processing the wool. You can wear it to the skin, not itchy.
