I was always sh** on for my 04 accord with the 4cyl but it’s true those things can take a backroad @ 60+ mph like it’s nothing mind you they have 205 R16s with 3000lbs of weight and it means absolutely nothing to them. Can’t wait to get another one. Glad someone is proving what I’ve seen all this time. This video made me extremely happy😂🔥💯
Another great touge video. Also, can’t wait for the interview with that FWD racer. I’m a believer that FF sports cars are the way to go (although, that’s not saying I don’t like other cars. Just prefer FWD sports cars). Anyway, I’m excited to hear from what sounds like an excellent FF racer.
The Driver of this silver 04 accord has driver mod. This guy literally take any daily beater on some all seasons and drive it like it was the fastest ever. Funny thing was this guy first time doin FWD platform, he normally used to RWD AE86, 240sx, and Miatas. He amazed himself with that Accord. Its Sold tho he get new toy.
I and my friend who own and well know about the inline 4 08 accord, and now have moved on to other plant forms. We just $hit talk about the 08 accord last week, no power, bad body roll, etc. And now, a even older accord is having its moment. What a coincident....
@@KrAx78 Looks like you guys have so much fun. "yooooo! Yoooooooooo!" However, I don't think that is on stock suspension. I hardly see any, any, any body roll. Looks like you are on some aftermarket suspension setup. Also, the ride-high doesn't seem right, wheels don't seem right
@Haoran Chen yup we have the most fun some of the guys that were recording didnt know or expect that I was gonna be drift sliding my FWD with them miata guys so they was trippin and excited. Of course my CB7 Accord is on Yonaka full adjustable race stage 2 coilover dropstrut suspension and yes i'm riding kinda low yet enough to not drag or scrape all the time. The ride is actually comfortable and there is still decent travel. The rear got some camber and toe naturally of geometry when that low and as far as wheels i like running other make alloys in this vid when tire blew out off rim while drifting they are 99 infiniti g20 15inch wheels. 4x114.3 bolt pattern not much selection of wheels to choose but majority nissan/infiniti wheels can fit on Accords. I'm NOT sure what u mean by ride-high, wheels dont seem right?....
My 4th gen CB7 Accord Sedan is actually tuned for this mountain touge from suspension to brakes to gearing ive actually swapped in a jdm H22A DOHC VTEC engine and converted from auto to 5spd and i find it best running 15inch or 16inch stock alloy wheels with all season tires as its easily available as its common size and affordably priced and lasts enough with all the shenanigans we doin. So ya NO ONE ever said i was stock almost everything has been modified swapped retrofitted and yes that roofrack is 💯% necessary and very much used when its needed. Ive put spares up there those few times i went off put my torn off bumper or lip up there even put some of the other guys shits up there too. In actuality my car is the dedicated recovery vehicle for when anyone wrecks, blows tires, lose a wheel, broke ball joints, or were dangling cliffside. Much of the guys that try run touge almost never prepared for incidents or some just rely on me having tools straps etc. But I there were times i myself needed to be recovered. We never leave any trash or car parts we definitely try as best to keep our touge presentable but the road quality is something else...
Majority of tantalus residence is of old timers retired there are some mid life families and vacation rentals but all of which know well enough NOT to be in the street or to be well safety such as blinkie lights front and back maybe even reflective vests and definitely bright color clothing. Its good idea also to be attentive with ears open so as to hear cars road noise etc. But also some wild life as there are big boars around.
I recall losing my first car (1995 passport) because I took the rain for granted, overcorrected oversteer just like from the POV of the RX-8, and then there just happened to be a telephone pole waiting to fuck up the body and chassis of my truck (only happened 30-40mph) Thanks to the rigidity of the vehicle, I broke no bones, but I certainly will miss it
Hey man long time subscriber here, first, thankyou for all the content over the years, but I also have a question. What are you using to to track the corners in the top left of the screen? I've been dreaming of a system like that for some time now to map my touge pass
I got 4th gen CB7 Accord and i play hard with these guys too in fact i'm that fwd drift slider and racer OG he mentions in the end. Seperate of that silver Accord.
Just gotta catch us while we running or if u come thru acting fast we'll chase to see what u got. Its actually how most the new guys get to join us. We've had some touge trains running almost 30 cars we could only get 1 lap in. Too many cars too much noise. And i shouldnt have to remind or say but this shit illegal. Respect the spot. Know the course and all the elements and circumstances before u even try to go hard. We've had guys try to chase us and crash in the 3rd corner just trying to keep up. Know the road day and night forward and backward dry and wet. BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE TO NEWBS.🏁
@@dp.mk7419 Everything is expensive if you want to pursue the top quality/experience. Like cycling, you can pick up a Walmart bike about 100 to 200 bugs if just want a casual sunday ride with family. And you can also buy a 4,5 digits road racer as bike enthusiast.
Touge has the largest range of cost between drivers, compared to other motosports. If you understand the risk factors and drive within your means, you can get the most valuable seat time for your money. But on the opposite spectrum, one could crash a $20,000+ machine which could have been put into a whole lot of track days.
Racing period. Building your car right for it takes money, taking lessons takes money (not everyone does this, but general track experience is better to have), repairing your car from driving hard takes money. This is a pay to play game. If you can't pay for much. Don't go super hard. The cool thing is though. You don't have to spend gobs of money to have fun. You can have fun in clapped out cars, or lightly modded cars. You can pick up an MX5 for cheap these days. Just make sure it's running good, throw a decent set of tires on, and go have some fun.
I cant even keep count how many wheel bearings, ball joints, cv boots, rack boots, exhaust hangars, brake pads, tires, drive belts, transmissions, clutches i have gone thru just this year alone. But napa/autozone/oreillys all making money and also whatever tire companies too

Ive accidently chased raced a cop that was speeding thru in response of a call (they didnt have lights or sirens goin) and i was awaiting for any random or usual racers to chase and have fun with didnt realize it was a blue and white squad car till i was almost caught up directly behind but in next corner he had turned around and lit me up as i came flying round the corner.😯💩 Got a lecture of a lifetime i really thought i was in trouble and should have been.
