I never knew to mount the positive post first to avoid arcing. I almost always mounted the negative first and puckered my way through mounting the positive in hopes of not causing an arc. Not always successfully I might add. 😊

Hi Ian, I'm reminded when you said the road was a bit slippy, one of the lads I work with said he'd had a mishap driving in, he "Ended up with his nose in a bush" but not in a good way!!! 😂👍
Hello Farmer P.😊 You always seem to make the fiddley jobs look so easy and your 'soon get this fixed' attitude is what makes it work 😀🧑🏻🔧🪛🔩🔨🪚🛠️⛓️⚙️ I know of no other line of work that requires such varied knowledge and capabilities as that of a Farmer. 😢 Farmers should be looked upon with reverence not scorn Take care, Farmer P and hugs for Biskit 🐕🩷🤗
If you charge that battery before use until it bubbles, it will last for ten to fifteen years. If you don't it will last for three years at most.......
time for some new led lights in that barn as well, like the cattle sheds have just got ,even at just that end ,would make a huge difference to fixing stuff
So, Mr. Company owner, who is paying you by the hour for doing company work? Could it be yourself? Could it show that profits taken are in part hourly wage arrears? Small business owners always have to be ready to respond to any issue or emergency and pay the cost associated with it. Hourly employees are paid for their assigned work. Owners pay for everything in hopes of payment. Smart ones like you, do what they must with profitable payments later in mind. Oh! If only so many understood. I love your channel as you cover so many varied issues and ideas. Your respect and care for your animals is the bonus.

A very good Monday evening to you
perhaps a good investment to put some lights in the tree business shop seeing that's where you earn a living from.
Ah the wonders of being young and not being able to find holes in the dark!😂
@@RogerNorman-q6x I always had an idea where to look Roger, I got better with practice though for sure 🙂😇😄
Do what my Grandad did at winter time… covered the battery’s with carpet, never had a problem with a flat battery.
The weather seems cold around the UK this year. It was twelve below this morning in Minnesota today, but that's normal.
@@irvenrathburn9421 I don’t mind a bit of cold Irven, it can kill off a few harmful bugs in the soil. As long as it stays dry 🙂

@@craigdoig9486 I may try changing the metal halide bulbs over to LED versions.

Why did you carry the battery down to the barn when you would be driving by the shed, I didn’t look like it was a light one

@ true but your not a young lad anymore (no offence intended) time to think of smarter ways to do things

Just to remind everyone, on removing a Battery, remove the NEGATIVE first.
As long as its a Negative Earth machine. Anyone with an older vehicle will know they are usually Positive Earth
😀
'tis the weather for killing vehicle batteries isn't it? I just had to buy a new one for my car. Exide was what my supplier had too.
