I would buy a tractor. You can use the right one for almost everything especially having all that land. You can buy a bucket, forks, backhoe attachment, auger, bushhog, stump grinder, garden plow, etc. won’t need all the attachments at one time but you can always grow into a tractor for years to come.
Hey Shawn, that back blade is amazing!!! Be really careful about pushing snow up against that chain link fence...you can bend-bow it back pretty easy with that heavy snow. When we ran out of room to push the snow, we had to come in with a skid steer and move it to a place in the corner or in the yard. Be really careful about pushing the snow back to high & getting stuck in the pile, then have to wait on a tow out. Snow is MONEY though..
Your the first company that plows with just a back plow on a pickup truck the truck i have i got a snowman plow on the back of the truck and a western plow on the front of the truck. I see a big company that use 100hp farm tractors he has 80 tractor's and they have snowblower on them and it's the type of blower that you drive the tractor 🚜 forward with the blower running what's nice with a big blower you don't get big piles of snow and you get a much better view because your nice and high up in a tractor 🚜 a nether good thing is he doesn't have to buy license plates every year to plow snow he just has insurance on them in case one of the drivers hits someone or something. What else is nice he got GPS on each tractor so the guy in the office can see where everyone is at all times so they know what you have done so if a customer calls wanting to know when there driveway is going to be cleaned the guy in the office can tell the customer about now long
just horrible, I wrench and grieve every time I hear of a kid drowning, I came close once, the panic and fear, but a very honest friend said he did drown but was revived, he said he was out of his body in peace but sorrow for his loved ones and he could see everything and a beautiful place and perspective he could never put into words, that guy would never make something up, dam, I feel awful about this
Around 7:15 mark: For your safety concern at the salt loading ramp, I'd weld about a 5-6' post on the edge of that vertical plate sticking straight up. Watching you two get on and off the truck, it would give you a grab post. Might want to do that on both ends. You could make it detachable if you want. (edit was post length.)
Sean, ever looked into central hydraulic system for the dump truck? Under the gate spreader run off that is INCREDIBLE. We switched from bed spreader the dump truck and the difference is huge. Carry capacity is way up and the under gate spreader is amazing.
Some folks have nothing else to do with their lives. This is the highest level of their aspirations for today. I don't feel sorry for them because they have been given the gift of life and this is what they choose to do with it.
Get yourself a belt elevator. Pour the bucket on the belt and let it run the salt on the truck. 👍🏻 From a smaller out side hopper that the bucket can handle👌🏻 a shut type hopper?
and im back.. been a long time since ive watched one of your videos idk why i stopped i just did but im back love the content got something to binge now.
Shaun, I know it wouldn't look as good, but until you get another loader, is there a reason why that spreader has to be in the center? Couldn't it be move to the left until you make a change.
The back blade is doing a good job the other video i saw a truck had a front and back blade on and got high center the truck couldn't get tracken and had to be pulled out your set up looks pretty good we did snow removal 27 lots and parking ramps and hauled off the snow
An inexpensive way to deal with the loading task problem is to raise the passenger side of the loading ramp. This will cause the truck to tilt so the center of the bed is closer to edge of the bucket. I’ve seen this technique used and it works well.
First off, what a joke. I hate it when plow people have their strobe lights on driving through traffic, not even pounding. It's super annoying. The lights don't make you invisible. You still have to obey traffic laws. Second of all, I can do circles around your little pickup truck with my compact loader
Hey Shawn, if you are looking to replace the bobcat i know job has a telescoping skid steer so that would help with getting more salt on the passenger side
Back blade is working awesome. But I’m wondering if it’s gonna kill the transmission. You can kinda hear it whine when you’re stacking . I may be hearing something else idk
Stan the dirt monkey has done numerous videos on this topic . You can also watch a few in depth transmission videos . Reverse is the strongest gear, has the most mechanical advantage. Has the biggest bite on the gear . Then any forward speed . Thanks
I’d suggest adding some bigger stones and rock at the edge of the salt bunker. Should help keep the mud and moisture from tracking onto the pad from the skid steer
around the 28 min mark. Question with the new plow. When backing the piles back and up. Have you guys had any issues with getting stuck just yet. That past snow might of been a great test for you
Yes and no everything as advantages and disadvantages advantage the with back blade is the with only thing that comes close is a loader with a pusher or a truck with a snow power f 14 witch is great but still everything has goods and bads for them a top gun formally short iorn will get the job done for there needs and they do have 2 trucks with front mounted v plows as well
Sounds like your glow plugs in that Skid are getting weak….Cycle that key a couple of times to get a better quicker start…..Give your starter and battery some extra life.
Hey guys not wanting to sound like a know it all or smart - well you know but anyway if you will fix the spot where your truck sits when you’re loading the salt will make it easier cause you will be able to see what you’re doing. Take some gravel or dirt and build up the passengers side of your truck only. Again the off side only cause it raises that side up and it will load much easier. Only raise it about 6-8” and try it first then go more if you need it. Hope it helps you guys it did us when we load coal trucks. Also it will let you get the salt all the way over to the off side.
8:14 should if your budget allows make the loading area u have now more by where the plow on the truck is and then by the hoop house have that same grade you have now for the bobcat so your pretty much making like a C so u can back the truck in to the little cut out load both sides of the truck. Cause I bet it’s going to be tiring or there’s going to be an accident god forbid.
Definitely tractor like showing would do y’all well. Glad to see Chevy with lighting lol where’d ya get it? Stay safe n stay rested even thou Mother Nature saying otherwise lol
Did you check with any one at a transmission shop to see about plowing backwards if the transmission could handle it the weight and so forth just asking doing good just making sure
U take.pride ic it .the dude may have a new truck but u got a great new plow .and we.all.ise the back pack for taking snow of cars trucks light snow.been doingin that for many years.stay save .get rest.god.bless u guys. And u. An buy.hot paws keep u warm or heated gloves. 😊
They have a tow haul button for transmission does that work forward and backward just wondering cause work both ways makes you feel better less stressed on equipment and you hoping everything goes right stay safe and hydrated and warm and be careful thanks my friends hopefully it will quit and let you get some rest
U might want to put 2 led lights in the rear in the bed of the truck in the steak bed holes so u can light up behind the truck and see the plow and behind something so simple can make a huge difference
If thinking about a tractor make sure you measure the bucket from tires out front and measure to the middle of the box spreader to make sure it's the right one for you cause we used the rubber tired end loader the big ones
Shawn and TQ if your going to look into a tractor a LS tractor is more the way to go. I just left being a service manager of a Kubota dealer and Ls tractors. LS tractors can lift more and there price point is great. And I took your advise I picked up a used walk behind Ferris to restart my business so keep pushing you two
Just noticed that 773 has foot controls that’s the only way to fly. These new ones with hand controls only are junk. I have a 2023 S66 with only foot controls and it saved me thousands
Hey Shawn I'm glad that truck that got stuck in the ditch was not you. That was very rude of the side-by-side driver To drive like that in the yard. I learned in boy scouts never walk on any waterway that is frozen no matter how thick you think it is.
I couldn't imagine losing my kids.. kids should not die before their parents. Life can be so cruel
The worst part of snow events is when people who shouldn't be out are out when the crews are trying to get things cleaned up.

That backblade/ truck combo is really paying off, watching you push all that snow pile back was pretty impressive. Take care!
That rear plow setup is the Bees Knees!! You were cruisin!!!
That rear blade is a game changer ❤❤❤❤

A rollout bucket would make loading your spreaders easier
Hi, if i was in your situation I would defo be buying a telehandler. Super useful, every task would be easier. A nice 8 meter boom
just horrible, I wrench and grieve every time I hear of a kid drowning, I came close once, the panic and fear, but a very honest friend said he did drown but was revived, he said he was out of his body in peace but sorrow for his loved ones and he could see everything and a beautiful place and perspective he could never put into words, that guy would never make something up, dam, I feel awful about this
have you every mixed both salts together if so does it help the plain salt from freezing up
That is a great attachment for mower

You guys are killing it, give yourselves a small break and do something fun for a day so you dont get burnt out.
We appreciate you watching whenever you can. Welcome back!
You are doing a great job Bro!!
Your having way too much fun pushing snow but thatTop Gun plow is the bomb
Shaun, I know it wouldn't look as good, but until you get another loader, is there a reason why that spreader has to be in the center? Couldn't it be move to the left until you make a change.
You guys are absolutely so considerate of your clients trying the very best you can do.
Back blade is working great! I wonder if you could use one side wing to clear the sidewalks with the back blade?
Wish we got enough snow to plow each year. We got somewhere between 4-5 inches this week but pretty much going to be melted off before Monday.
That rear plow must be allot easier on the front ends.
That back blade moves so much snow!
you have a big gap in the salt tent at the back... are you going to fix it?
The back blade is doing a good job the other video i saw a truck had a front and back blade on and got high center the truck couldn't get tracken and had to be pulled out your set up looks pretty good we did snow removal 27 lots and parking ramps and hauled off the snow
That guy that delivered the salt does a amazing job
It got bad here in Tennessee awesome job Shawn and tq have a upcoming week ahead
I have 2 pairs of those very same gloves. Best gloves I've ever owned.
That is one awesome top gun back blade
Good Evening Team Spencer

Truck getting stuck happens. Helper in SxS doing a donut in yard to turn around is the idiot. No reason for it. I’d be pissed too.
First off, what a joke. I hate it when plow people have their strobe lights on driving through traffic, not even pounding. It's super annoying. The lights don't make you invisible. Good for you!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🎉
new tires are working well
Those blades are great tor your business less time and faster

Not at all
Hey Shawn, first time I used marathon gas middle grade gas on a 2014 subaru forester, highway mpg 33. Hey ya all be safe out there. God bless.
7:42 I got my girlfriend a pair of those. They work great for salt
How do you find time to create videos with such a busy schedule? 😚🍒
@@TriệuQuýPhúhú it's not easy
Good evening Spencer Team nice truck you drive perfect safe and God Bless
An avant 500 would be perfect for u guys as its got a telescopic boom
If they get the turf tires they could use it for big landscape jobs to
What sunglasses you use and how you like them?
Just thinking can you use the vibration to level out the load so you don't have to keep using the shovel or rake?
I would think it would be easier to have the plow on the front so you can see what your doing instead of using the mirrors and turning your neck .
Yes and no everything as advantages and disadvantages advantage the with back blade is the with only thing that comes close is a loader with a pusher or a truck with a snow power f 14 witch is great but still everything has goods and bads for them a top gun formally short iorn will get the job done for there needs and they do have 2 trucks with front mounted v plows as well
Good lighting and practice using your mirrors, it becomes second nature for most. Not all. Some guys just aren't good at it.
Sounds like your glow plugs in that Skid are getting weak….Cycle that key a couple of times to get a better quicker start…..Give your starter and battery some extra life.
She is good at running that thing
Great video

My thoughts and prayers are with the good family.I hope you relay this message sean artique
May have to change TQ name too BBQ Bob cat queen LOL
Is the green salt safe for the animals' feet/paws if they have to walk on it?
I dont get it?, it takes 15s to just flip the car around? (first fill one side, then drive out and drive front in, fill the other?...)
Got 12 inches here in southern Ohio. Been busy working 7 days a week because of the snow and cold.
No staying home working on the railroad
8:14 should if your budget allows make the loading area u have now more by where the plow on the truck is and then by the hoop house have that same grade you have now for the bobcat so your pretty much making like a C so u can back the truck in to the little cut out load both sides of the truck.

That's what you consider a good friend
I miss my old power wagon and the 15' plowing blade
1945
Do you like the back plow versus the front plow
That new scraper is pretty good
You may get a better deal now getting a newer frontend loader before the demand is there for them.
i am truly sorry for that family’s loss
The concentration face at 4:08
If u load at ground level instead of using that loading area u made u can get the bobcat much much closer and probably load perfectly
It won't reach that high, that's why they dug out the loading area.
How bud what brand of strobe or you using on the truck?
Definitely tractor like showing would do y’all well. Glad to see Chevy with lighting lol where’d ya get it? Stay safe n stay rested even thou Mother Nature saying otherwise lol

What about using a conveyor belt system for loading salt trucks?????
But you have to load the conveyor belt
You learn how to flick the bucket a little better and it make it a lot easier to load, but you’re doing a good job
Seemed a few short time ago, you werent having snow this year. What a turn around.
When you put the flares on i didn't see that video
Have you considered offsetting the salter to the driver's side about 8 inches or so?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
U might want to put 2 led lights in the rear in the bed of the truck in the steak bed holes so u can light up behind the truck and see the plow and behind something so simple can make a huge difference
The company bobcat makes a nice size front loader. It’s like a mini payloader so have probably enough reach for what you need.
Are your vbx auger or conveyer chain
Auger
If thinking about a tractor make sure you measure the bucket from tires out front and measure to the middle of the box spreader to make sure it's the right one for you cause we used the rubber tired end loader the big ones
You could grind down those hard corners with an angle grader and then sand it smooth
You guys make a great team. Bet not too many guys have a wife that runs a skid steer
You need a back rack with some nice bright back up lights!
Hey Spencer lawn care mabey u look into a jBC teleskid skid steer loader with a longer boom to put salt in the trucks next year a used one
A jcb tella skid would be great for loading the dump plus other stuff you should demo one and they have great visability
Once you go back...... You ain't going back... To front... You of course need to learn to re pattern your accounts.... But man the time savings!
Shawn and TQ if your going to look into a tractor a LS tractor is more the way to go. I just left being a service manager of a Kubota dealer and Ls tractors. LS tractors can lift more and there price point is great. And I took your advise I picked up a used walk behind Ferris to restart my business so keep pushing you two
And if you have any questions I can get you the number of my ex boss he is the most honest guy to talk to about tractors
YOU DONT NEED A NEW LOADER, YOU JUST NEED TO EXTEND THE CONCRETE SO THAT THE SKID STEER SITS LEVEL WITH GIVE YOU THE REACH YOU NEED.
Run the passenger side up on 2×12s to tip more to left so it reaches the center of the salt box mabe
I would use the other rain-x washer fluid that is blue. It is better for winter!
U guys got to get fisher gear
Would be nice to have a front plow on chevy to stack piles
I think it,s a rood weight linit is why the truckers can only hall that much at any one time.
What does 25 ton of salt cost?
Some times it don't pay to be the nice guy but you tried good for you
Just noticed that 773 has foot controls that’s the only way to fly. These new ones with hand controls only are junk.
I have a 2023 S66 with only foot controls and it saved me thousands
Even a piece of pvc (cut longer than the steel or with elbows) with a slit cut to squeeze over the plate for now would certainly be safer.
Hey Shawn I'm glad that truck that got stuck in the ditch was not you. That was very rude of the side-by-side driver To drive like that in the yard. I learned in boy scouts never walk on any waterway that is frozen no matter how thick you think it is.
