Yeah, that's definitely true for business pages... which is why I personally stick with my Pro Mode profile and groups :)

I found this very interesting and it will be useful. My problem is this: I have a new facey page. Less than 50 subs. I use original content for 90 percent of my posts. However, I've found out that it's being shared, stripped down and posted on other sites with almost 1,000 subs, with no link or anything to say where the post came from.. If these people take the whole post, my views rise substantially. If they strip the post and share the guts of it, I get next to nothing from it. It annoys the crap out of me because not only is it stealing and a violation of facey etiquette 101, it causes these massive spikes. Just wanted to share that.

One thing to note: The strategy I shared in this video is intended for your personal Facebook profile (note a business page). So you're actually sharing content with your friends instead of subscribers (fans).
I have people copy my content too, but I'm not concerned. My goal is to engage my friends and move them into my FB group. If somebody copies my content, they won't prevent me from achieving my goal. Same will be true for you :)

Great question, Brian. Unfortunately, this won't work for business pages simply because FB has made your business page pretty much useful for running ads (not really for organic marketing). That's why we stick to using FB profiles (ideally with Professional Mode turned on)
What are your thoughts on how this applies to Reels? I've got a mixed bag of results. I'm seeing slow and steady growth. Up about 200 followers in the past month. Based on this info I should be posting less, because I've been posting just as much as possible, 2-5 reels per day. Most of them are somewhere between 400-1000 views and haven't gotten much traction, but I had one spike to 80k views just randomly 2 weeks after I posted it. I'm having a hard time making sense of how discoverability works on reels.
Good question. Reels are a bit of a different beast altogether. They act as supplementary content to the main posts that sit of your feed. We're just starting to collect the data, so I don't want to share any conclusions just yet, but I suspect Reels can be posted multiple times per week (perhaps even daily) without hurting your alogirthm.

With me working on growing followers using reels, I noticed that my shorter reels get a lot more spins than my longer reels. So I'm thinking this has something to do with the visibility of your reels themselves and how easy it is to loop them; however I do feel like the amount you post a day does help with reels because they are the most viewed thing on Facebook right now. If you get a really good short reel, it has a good chance of growing out of control. ❤️

Good question. Image posts and text-only posts serve different purposes. In general, if you want people to comment, text-only works best because it's quick to comprehend for your audience.

I have tested a bunch of them and found that engagement has been best when I post directly on FB, so I don't use any third-party posting apps anymore.
I tried to join new facebook groups but the moderators want let me join I don't know what is happening.

One post a week though? So at what point do you accept if the post isn't really working that its not going to work at all then post something else or can it be worthwhile reposting the same post again to see if it picks up any traction?
For me, I now post 2x per week (I added a weekly Reel, which really helps with the FB algorithm).
Your first point is wrong, all posts are treated separately, frequency of posting doesn't affect how the algorithm pushes your post.
Thanks for sharing. We have some really convincing stats that show frequency and timing of profile posts both can contribute to more reach and engagement (i.e. about 207% increases), but if you've got a system that's working well for you, awesome. Keep using it 🙌

What do you mean "facebook is having to choose?" does the frequency of your posting negatively affect how the algorithm views your post? why wouldn't it just behave the same with both posts?
Good question. There's just too much "inventory" of content for Facebook to give it all free reach, so FB will choose which of your posts to prioritize.

Good question, Tony. This is specifically for your permanent posts (which are the most important when it comes to boosting your Facebook algorithm). Reels are great supplementary content - just make sure you've got solid permanent posts too.

I don’t know if I could just post once or twice a week I’m an avid user of it most days of the week and people are used to seeing me. I post 6x a day now would even posting 2-3 x help the algorithm? Or can I make a post twice a week but post more in stories/reels?
If posting daily is working for you, keep doing it!

It DEFINITELY helps your algorithm if you engage on other people's content. Personally, I don't have time to do it manually, so we automate that process. If you've got the time, keep doing what you're doing 🙌

I guess the blue check makes a huge difference because if your verified.. Facebook trust your page. I can post as much as I want and the engagement is dope. As long as it isn’t Ike 5minutes apart or some crazy close like that

What if you run a business on social media, I would have to post more than once a week....I have a group, business page and my personal page.
Hey Briana, if you feel you have to post more often, go for it. If that works, keep doing it.
For my online businesses, I post about 3-5x per week in total across my profile and groups. Works great :)
I don't know what is happening to facebook I tried to join so many groups and the moderators not accepting my requests.
It is up to the admins who they let into their group. If they don't think you'd be the best fit, they can choose to reject your request. That's why it's important to join groups that you authentically belong in AND have a profile that makes it clear that you would be a great member :)

Good question. You will need at least some friends on FB in order for your content to be seen. Then, as your content starts being seen more and more, you can accumulate followers too.

Chiny, you could try that. For my account, I maximize engagement at one post per week (on Mondays)

Likely similar principles, although we haven't tested LI (there are too many leads on FB for us to handle!)
Are these same advice for FB business pages as well? I work for a charity and while I believe our content is good we're not getting more people to see us. Being a charity our main concern is getting donation and getting known. I wish someone would give me some clear ideas
Unfortunately, FB has been pretty clear that business pages aren't likely to get a ton of reach or engagement these days (unless you're paying for ads). That's why we tend to use our profiles and FB groups - both work VERY well (for free)

The problem is the oversupply of content on FB. Even if you post great content, FB is forced to choose which of your posts to show, so it's likely that you'll see diminishing returns.
But, definitely test it for yourself!

That only works when you already have an audience, though. To start out you need to post everyday or at least a few times a week.
Well, that depends on what you mean by having an audience. If you have zero friends/followers then it doesn't matter how often you post - you're going to get zero engagement.
The main point in this video is that over-posting can prevent your best posts from performing well (regardless as to how big or small your audience is). Personally, if I was starting from scratch, I'd try to post as little as possible, while watching engagement to make sure it's growing as my audience size grows :)

Yeah, exactly. AND I would be growing that friend list ASAP. You can add hundreds of new friends per week with the right steps.

@@cs77smith67 - if you're just getting started, adding 50 friends per day will likely be too much. You can try it, but you'll likely get a warning/temporary block from FB. If I was just starting out, I'd begin by sending 10 friend requests per day... if that is safe for one week, then I'd increase to 20, then 30, etc.

@@cs77smith67 We actually now recommend adding from groups (that way allows us to automatically target people by keyword (e.g. "affiliate" or "marketer")
