Thanks for your kind comment. However I believe this video is now redundant as you can now create morphs using blender with the same if not better effect.
Oh my god I’ve been looking for a tutorial on this for weeks!!! Even searched forums! I gave up yesterday and accidentally found this video today! You’ve got a new subscriber from me. Thank you so much bro.
MYDART To be honest you’re actually doing a pretty good job because I’ve seen your channel quite a few times when looking for Diaz tutorials. Maybe the thumbnails could be a little more attention grabbing but I don’t know. I do know that I found what I was looking for and in turn have subbed to your channel.
Now that I’ve gone back and looked, your thumbnails are actually pretty good. But your font isn’t great. Hard to read on a phone. Maybe beef the font up a bit. Cheers! (Edit) You actually did already. The white font is WAY better!
Thanks for your comments. You may want to checkout other Daz Studio channels that cover topics that I don't cover, because you may also learn something else that will add to you tool belt.
@@ParmyBaddhan Absolutely I will do that, when I have watched all of your videos. I prefer to learn from one teacher at a time. Because usually the videos are "building on each other". First the basic then advanced topics. I don't like to jump around too much. At least when being an absolute beginner in a program :)
Woah! This is the most useful tutorial. I was angry before watching this tutorial because i was using facegen and after applying the morph to the G8F there was a weird forehead from both sides like a dent in a car but after using this method i was able to fix that. THIS IS SOOOOOOO COOL.
Thank you, I was trying to do this with the mesh grabber tool, but it was not working with animation, but this does! This is exactly what I was looking for and more! Unbelievable game-changer!
Great video, thanks very much. I can't seem to get a small enough deformation on an article of clothing (think finger tip pushing through cloth). I reviewed the clothing template and it looks like it doesn't have enough geometry to support such a small deformation. What would you suggest to get the desired result?
You can increase the geometry of the clothing by selecting the item in the scene tab and then go to edit-->figure-->geometry-->convert to subd. Then set the resolution to "high resolution" in the parameters tab. The other option is to take the clothing into blender and use the sculpting tools within blender create the deformation.
@@ParmyBaddhan Thanks for the quick reply. Always great to learn from RUclipsrs who reply to their viewers. So, this has gotten to be a bit of a mess although I've made some progress. I'm thinking this might be a useful tutorial based around a simple goal so that it would apply to multiple situations. Here's the scenario: You have a purchased piece of clothing. In my case, a simple undershirt from Renderosity's lilflame. I'm using the undershirt and finding there's not enough geometry to support the morphs/deformations I want. I've found enough info to export the item from Daz->Blender, subdivide the item in Blender (which is great but probably creates too many new polygons), export it from Blender and finally import it back into Daz. All this works fairly smoothly with the exception that upon importing back into Daz the rotation orientation and translated position is wrong. However, to take this further and most people probably would, now that I have the item with plenty of geometry, I want it to be recognized by Daz in the Content Library, Smart Content and usable for other models (i.e. conforming). It's a little unclear how to make this happen. From what I've read it involves saving the item as a Support Asset->Figure/Prop. This gives me access to creating metadata for the new item. However, it's still missing the Conform To option when I try to use it. Googling again suggests I need to use the Transfer Utility? As a bonus, it would be great to copy/duplicate the morphs of the original clothing item to the modified item.
You have a terrific presentation style that provides just the right amount of in-depth information. Please consider this scenario as a new tutorial; modify a purchased piece of clothing, increase the geometry, import it back into Daz and save it as a new item that can be found in Smart Content/Content Library and build the metadata ready to conform to other models (i.e. Genesis 8 Females). Surely, this can't be an uncommon task and there must be a better workflow. In any case, thanks again for the video and much success to you in the future!
Thanks for your kind comment. D-formers have kind of become redundant since the mesh grabber product was created. I hardly use D-formers anymore since mesh grabber is quicker to get the desired effect.
3:20 I see you use that buttons, you know you can do it with your mouse? :) that was one of my first things I changed (also added CTRL+Z/Y to go step back/forward... no idea why this wasnt standard set....) I recommend to set it all on ALT+Mouse Buttons.
@@ParmyBaddhan ohh okay :D but for rotating around should be the shortcut be okay... the people can ask if they wanna know how you move around without touching the buttons :D
I personally wouldn't use deformers to change the head size. Create a morph using blender or your 3D modelling program of choice or purchase a morph from the Daz3D store for maximum compatibility with hair.
This was exactly what I was looking for. What name do I look for to buy your products? I loved this video and I will wear it out but I will always check out your products!
I'm not a Daz PA (published artist) so I don't have any products on Daz3D. If you want to support me you can check out my patreon. No, pressure. I'm here to help because I know what it feels like to be a beginner. I still am a beginner.
So I'm trying to make a custom morph f just the body of a full body character without the head ad I was wondering if there was any way I could do this but when I try to save the morph it work.
Hi Parmy! I have a Daz3d character I created. Everything about the character is perfect except for the eyes. I would like my character to have slightly bulging eyes. But I had some difficulty getting the eyelids to conform to the larger eyes. So, I tried to use a D-former on the head and even around the eyes, and was in both cases unsuccessful. What do you suggest to get around this? Can you do a tutorial on this?
Thanks for your question. The eyes and eyelids are very complicated areas to create morphs for. I only have basic understanding of creating morphs. You could try creating a morph using blender and see how that works. The video to create morphs using blender is here, ruclips.net/video/UbLMWUU_hNk/видео.html

I learned a ton, but the morph isn't saving. - I get it just as I want it, I select the parenting item, I go to the DForm tab, select "spawn morph", name it, and nothing happens. I go to the morphs tab and it's not there. I've literally done exactly what you said and it isn't working. --- The model I'm using isn't G8, it's actually (I don't know the term) like a boned object, not a normal Daz figure. Any idea what it's not working for me? --- Other than that, this was a great video!
Thank for the tutorial with good sound and no background sordid music (noise). However, in the first TWO minutes, you used the hackneyed and totally unnecessary terms: ACTUALLY and KIND OF THING, respectively 8 and 9 times. Hope you find the criticism constructive because it harms your image ...world wide.
@@ParmyBaddhan I was hoping for a positive response. I could go beyond the two minutes, ignore the bad terms and congratulate you on a very good tutorial. We need someone to tell us if it is bad. You have a good voice and command of language, elocution is one small step away.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I agree, Dformers are very limited. The use of something like meshgrabber or Blender for morphing is recommended. At the time I made this video meshgrabber did not exist and I did not have knowledge on how to create morphs with blender.
