hello.
please enlighten.
how to cut dresses into two clothes. to split the t-shirt and skirt in two. for example. the first outerwear will be a t-shirt or top. the second clothing will be a skirt. how to do it?
also jumpsuit or katsuit. for example. the outerwear will be a t-shirt. medium clothes short shorts. slightly middle bottom shorts. and the last pants or leggings?
OMG! So glad I found your channel. I have spent so much money in the daz store for things I didn't need, but now some of those items I can use and manipulate to make them better. Thank you!
Thanks for the kind comment. I look forward to seeing your renders.

hi.
interestingly well done.
please enlighten, how to cut two parts in one piece of clothing, costumes, and other types.
for example, you take dresses, cut out two in one clothes, save them in the folder data - people - clotting, after saving there will already be an outerwear top or football, and underwear is a skirt.
how to do this in the geometry tool on screen the daz studio?
thanks.
This was a great video. Very informative. But do you have a video on how to add on or morph clothing? For example, if I had a short sleeve t-shirt but wanted to turn it into a long sleeve t-shirt, how would what I do that? I am a new to this and still learning so any help would be appreciated. I am still going through your entire catalog now. So thanks for all you do.
Thanks for your kind comment and question. This tutorial is related to creating clothing morphs, ruclips.net/video/R38RSzZCRuE/видео.html
Great useful tutorial! Appreciate you producing these for Daz. 👍😀
You're welcome. It's a shame that Daz3D don't have any up to date documentation about this. I found out about this by trawling through various Daz Studio forums on the Internet.
MYDART Yes, my biggest irritation with Daz3D is the lack of current documentation. Daz3D includes so many features that most of us don’t even know about, let alone understand how to use! 🤦♂️
Another great tutorial. Thank you very much.
You're very welcome.
very useful & informative, I will be experimenting with this!
You're welcome.
I look forward to seeing your results!
Thank you so much! The video really helped.
You're welcome!
BROOOOOO!!! Thank YoUU .... BEST VIDEOS hands down - i tip my hat Sir
Thanks for your kind comment.
very useful and well explained, thank you !
Do you have to save after creating surface from selected material?
Thanks for your question. You will have to save the clothing item as a figure/prop asset. This can be found in file-->save as-->support asset-->figure/prop assets. Make sure that you character is in the zero pose and on the origin point before you save the clothing item as a figure/prop asset.
Thank you! Great tip!
You're welcome.
Probably the best Daz tutorial on youtube, one question tho, I tried to set up boundary or floor girds for my geometry objects as floors & walls as domstrated in your video, but I can' t seem to find the dang geometry editor when i select my primitive, not with right click nor anything else. my goal is to my many different level floors where all my figures and just ctrl+d and stand on the surface right away.
There is a bug in Daz Studio regarding this. After a random amount of time you can't select a primitive with the geometry editor tool. I think you have to save your scene and the close Daz Studio and load the scene up and the geometry editor will start working again.
Great tutorial. Thank you😃
Thanks for the kind comment.
Question, I'm trying to apply body-hair to a character, and said character wears armbands, when I apply the hair to the body, it is also applied to the arms so you see hairs poke through the armbands i have on her, I tried to use Geometry Editor to hide the Polygons and it did work, except after i saved and reloaded the file the next day, the hair was back. Hiding Polygons apparently does not save, how do i resolve this?
What program do you use to put your panels together?
The software that I use to create my graphic novel is Comiclife, plasq.com/apps/comiclife/macwin/ and for postwork I use photoshop. If you have any follow-up questions please send them my way, as I am more than happy to help.
@@ParmyBaddhan thank you so much. I love your videos, they have been so helpful.
You are a good teacher! Thank you and subbed :)
Thanks for your kind comment.
Hi Parmy, I hope you're fine.
I'm a game developer working with Daz, and I have a problem that nothing seems to fix, and I thought maybe you had an idea.
How do I hide those seam lines I get on certain parts of my genesis 8 body when I render with Iray?
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Are you using spectral rendering when rendering with iray?
@@ParmyBaddhan Can't believe it, it was that simple? I took it off and it got rid off those seam lines.
I was afraid it was going to affect my quality, but I can't seem to notice a difference.
Thanks for taking the time to answer me!
Can I use this on geo shells?
Sorry, you can't use the Geometry editor with geoshells because geoshells don't have any geometry. I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve, if you can elaborate then I will able to point you in the right direction so you can reach your desired goal?
@@ParmyBaddhan I want to customize my geoshell for my character. It's doing almost everything that I want but here are parts of the of the shell I want to change. Like ad or remove certain parts of it.

I like these more advanced tutorials. I was trying to find an in-depth tutorial for strand based hair. I never manage to get it working correctly. It always sticks to the skull or is in a weird shape...
I like making advanced tutorials especially when they can save you money and make the most of your content library.
As for strand based hair I haven't looked into this, however I will get round to this soon.
@@ParmyBaddhan I agree a decent strand base hair tutorial is needed, at the moment I feel like I'm playing with SBH & not creating obj hair for my bald headed genesis family.
how can i make clothes look more thick?
Thank you!
You're welcome. I look forward to seeing what you create using the Geometry tool.
I Learnt something new, thanx U.
Glad I could help. I'm still learning too.
@@ParmyBaddhan yeah, but your GOOD👍
@@bettythomas8660 Thanks for your kind words. The only difference between you and me is a skill set gap, that is all. Once you learn the required skills you will catchup to me and then surpass me.
@@ParmyBaddhan LOL.😂😂😂.here praying🙏👍💕
what if I want to separate the top of the cube, so when I load it I can show or hide it, like if it was a different mesh?
You will need to create a surface for the top of the cube and then you can hide that part of the mesh by changing the cutout opacity in the surfaces setting to 0.0001
really usefull :)
Glad it was helpful!
Спасибо!
You're welcome.
Crap, I wasted so much time doing this in Sketchup and then importing it into Daz.
You didn't waste anytime. You found an alternative solution that worked for you. The geometry editor tool has limited functionality compared to dedicated 3D modelling software such as Sketchup. Now you have 2 options (Sketchup or DS Geometry Editor) to get your desired result.
Thank you!
You're welcome.
