I think Samsung and Google are going to have a lot of angry customers at the end of 2025 if they decide to use a subscription model for these AI features. Why? Because they are being touted as features, specific to these phones, rather than just a service that you can use on any phone (which honestly there's no reason it can't be.) If someone buys a phone for a given feature, then they are going to feel like it was a bait and switch if suddenly that feature gets hidden behind a paywall.
Coming from a galaxy a52 5G and never having a flagship phone since the s10+... I LOVE THIS phone. I don't have a need for the pen, o the ultra was out of the picture and the s24+ was still a bit too larger and the lack of quad HD on the s24 wasn't a deal breaker. The battery lasts me just over a full day, when I'm barely on it and it handles heavy usage very well. Plus, I got it in marble grey and it looks GORGEOUS
7:10 about charging speed, let's all remember that the more watts you pump into a lithium ion battery increases the rate of decay of the ions in these battery cells. So if you want to keep the battery in tip top shape for the full 7 year support window for this device, use lower wattage chargers for regular charging, and only the fast chargers for emergency top offs
My S24 is great. Good battery life, very good photos and good performance. For most people, it’s all the phone they need. I wouldn’t worry about the pay wall in 2025. Samsung is just covering their bases as ai matures.

Yes I noticed that also. I also discovered no matter what settings you use, the pics are only 72dpi which is not even good enough for quality prints. It takes very large photos but the dpi is way too low. It should at least be 240 or 300 at best. My old galaxy shot in 300dpi.

Struggling to choose between the Samsung S24 and the iPhone 15… on one hand I really like iOS and have always gravitated towards iOS but also feel like some change in OS would be good and I like Samsungs UI. Also telephoto lens and it seems to feel much better in the hand. But I’m nervous that I will miss the iPhone too much… currently have the 12 mini and the battery on it sucks.
Worst phone I ever had, version 512. The phone has a problem when using 2 nano cards. The Internet does not work, the processor is constantly stuck. However, for Southeast Europe, Samsung used a completely different processor that should be banned. I returned this phone and never want to see it again.
I live in the USA and just got my s24. I'm beyond happy with it. It's the smoothest and has the best specs to date. I give it a 10 out of 10 easily. Wonder why you had so many problems with yours
Colours are blown out, setting it too natural look makes the phone a lot more tolerable and less shouty to work with. I actually liked the natural setting but the iPhone has the edge
Snapdragon vs Exynos debate is getting old when it comes to performance. There is however still one significant difference and that is signal reception. Poor signal reception tends to consume more battery and that has usually been the problem of Exynos chipsets. Depending on the area where you live, the SOT can be quite awful compared to a device that doesn't have an Exynos chip.
l think it's good that Samsung is using two different Chipsets because they can improve Exynos. Of course I'm American so I get Snapdragon so my opinion may not matter as much. I'm using the S24+ 512GB model and I'm liking it. I haven't done much to utilize all this power in the phone but for what I got, I'll be keeping this for a long time
No.. they don't need to use AI marketing stuff... All samsung needs to do is bringing back earphones jacks... And vola the sales will sky rocket as many people are playing mobile games these days like cod, pubg and they will buy premium Samsung over iphone because nowdays there is very little performance difference
does it true that the system actually learns our habit on using the phone? so that after few days of usage, the phone will adapt and optimize the battery consumption?
It's a really beautiful design, but it is very much a knock off of the iPhone design: the thin symmetrical bezels, flat/rounded edges, glas sandwich design, the camera lenses... in fact the only differences are the punch hole (since they don't have Face ID sensors) and the camera lenses aren't grouped in a rounded square, for the rest it's the iPhone design.
I just got the S24 base model and honestly....the display on my A54 5g is fat better. Speed wise....it's about the same as my A54 5g and my sons Moto G Stylus 2024..which has the best display of all 3. Good phone, rather dull screen,so I'm going back to midrange devices...whom some have far better display,SD slot and audio jack
Could you wait to test Exynos in the warmer months and see the issues rise to the surface? The Exynos runs between 2-4c higher, so as Samsung temperature throttles, that would indicate that it will throttle earlier than Snapdragon in warmer months. The 4c higher temps are when on 5G, and sadly, creators never test everyday use on the 5G modem, which has always been the Achilles Heel of Exynos. In real-life tests its battery is 15% worse on 5G versus Snapdragon, along with the higher temps and performance degrading due to throttling. Despite the YT creator consensus that Exynos is fine, buyers should beware as there is evidence that it is far from the true story, and maybe when summer arrives, people will regret listening to reviews and giving it a pass. FWIW I have used Exynos for three gens and performance in benchmarks was never an issue, it was the modem, Samsung-fabs QC, and the inferior architecture that made them unbearable at times.
Reviewers banging on about the camera when what I want is a phone and text thing. There are issues with phones that can seriously dent your pleasant phone experience but you never hear a review even mentioning them. First is antenna sensisitivty. I've had two Huawei phones that couldn't make or receive calls even within 3kms of a tower. The antenna sensitivity was extremely poor and its easy to prove that. Next is "hearing aid compatibility and connectivity". Some of us oldie geeks are nearly deaf and hearing aids are being used more and more. Most of us went deaf using earbuds and headphones on mobile phones! So how about reviewing HA compatibility instead of banging on about damn camera! Most if us will never be a professional photographer and they use high end Nikons etc anyway. Most of us just want "happy snaps" so quit with endless camera blurb!
Can you compare the S24 against the global variant of the Xiaomi 14? Does the S24 have a quick(e.g., capture picture of moving subjects mostly blurry free)shooter?
they're mostly similar actually. reviewers tend to favor their favs, but for performance both can do the same with same and photos are just slightly different in the colors and at night
Good review. I have the S24 and I am struggling to get more than 5hrs SOT. May i ask which settings etc you are using to get 7 hours SOT? I'm using the same S24 Exynos chip in the UK. Thanks
exynos burns battery from 5g /4g, video chat, meta apps, low reception + moving around alot as well . Gaming on wifi with mobile data off burns less battery than these things .... 5h SoT is as much as iphone 15 pro max so don't worry about it
Like the phone mostly, but really hate the function to take a screenshot. Mostly the volume control is activated, or the phone locks. This is a total fail! I will not buy another samsung unless this changes. Not sure who thought it was a good idea, but it's not. At the least it should have been pushed back on in testing. Gets the big thumbs down from me!
@JamesThomas-dn6ee Samsung phones and Galaxy Tabs come with lots of preinstalled apps many of which are useless to the end user. Such apps are called bloatware and because they are installed as system apps, the uninstall option for them remains unavailable.
My experience with the Exynos version this time is not that bad, neither of other users. Having said this, It would have been better if Samsung uses the same chip all over the world

I bought a cheap blacklisted one off of eBay not intending to use it with service but just to mess around with on WiFi. I like it so far.
Wait until police turns up..
@@MrMalam1234 I said blacklisted not google locked. It’s under my account
I agree with your conclusion but i also can't think of the normal iPhone 15... They could've done better with the techs.
Dose anyone have problems with 50mp photos? like when we took photos from 50mp mode, pics got exposed, extra light, more boosted colour..and at the other hand with 12mp mode pics comes more soft, less sharpness.
Yes I noticed that also. I also discovered no matter what settings you use, the pics are only 72dpi which is not even good enough for quality prints. It takes very large photos but the dpi is way too low. It should at least be 240 or 300 at best. My old galaxy shot in 300dpi.
Got My S24+ today after 10 long years with iPhone.
The display at QHD+ is amazing and the camera is great too.
The build quality though is behind iPhone. Samsung are using cheap metals.
Watching from Somalia
as far as I remember this is the first comment I receive from Somalia. Take care over there!
Snapdragon version... My only complaint is the lack of Samsung leather cases. The vegan cases aren't good. The phone has been incredible so far even before any updates.
Vegan case? For you vegan phone?
@@harpal-kalsi they replaced the Samsung leather case with a vegan leather case. Feels cheap and slick compared to the actual leather case.
Where did you get that 128gb s24 when you get a 256gb at the same price
Have Samsung sorted out their selfie camera to zoom out better than in the S21?
here in Canada, the S24 is sold with the Octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
PRICE ?
Hello, watch your video and you explain it very well. But I have a question. Do you think it makes more sense to buy the S23 256 GB or the S24 128 GB? (There is a very slight difference between them in my country)
S23 256gb
get the s24, 128gb is still very manageable in 2024, so paying just a little bit more will make more sense in the long run.
I had a A71 and upgraded to the S24 and this phone is a power house
I currently have an A71, truly dislike the quality of the images it takes, the colour isn't always accurate. How do you find the images are like for the S24?
How is it in the hand without a case, is it comfortable to hold?
@@villgxs982 VERY comfortable to hold without a case the phone itself it the perfect size, the edges are a bit sharp but not too sharp to the point it feels like its digging into your hand hope this helps
I am about to make the same upgrade as you.
I have some questions.
Do you have the snapdragon or exynos version, and also how is your general experience?
@@VítNemrava-l5d i have the snapdragon version, the phone is blazing fast by itself the one thing for thats slow is using a browser, for me i use brave and images and pages load slow and in some apps like instagram the comments load slow for me same in ytube, might just my sample so its different for everyone, gaming is insanely perfect on the s24 maxed out settings with decent battery time and a snappy screen, in all a VERY worthy investment coming from a A71 to S24 i would recommend
I am absolutely shocked that you can only play videos at 720p quality on this phone. It let's you select 1080p but it just can't do it
The only thing I don’t like about s24 are Exynos.
Liking my S24+ very much. Nice and snappy but gets a little lag spikey sometimes. I wish I could root it.
Gorgeous hardware though. Screen and body are both excellent.
Ghetto Samdung
I really don't get the point of base s24. Small battery, slow charging, old cameras. And here in EU, a worse chip.
so basic s24 has the same time of charge with s24 ultra
Is possible to buy a 45 watt and use it for the s24, or... You don't recommend it?
I got the S23, 256GB and since it got updated with the AI features I actually think it's a better deal than the S24 on Exynos.
the snapdragon is always better. Even if the benchmarks might show a small difference, it's just way better
The 128gb version has ufs 3.1 and 256gb has ufs 4.0, but does it really matter?
Flat edges are more comfortable to hold than round edges???? What is going on? This is not personal opinion. 🙄
Ikr 😅
I think he got that dead wrong. I was like WHAT is he talking about lol. The flat edges are always harder to hold than rounded ones.
I’ve had one for a couple days, it’s only for gaming though lol. I use it for my Backbone
Rounded frame and rounder edge instead of sharp edge on the S23 could have been better. I digress flat sides are more comfy than rounder..
If you're in the Exynos region, it's no 👎 👎 👎 👎.
Hi Francisco, I disagree, although I would have preferred Samsung to use the same chip worldwide
l think it's good that Samsung is using two different Chipsets because they can improve Exynos.
And vola the sales will sky rocket as many people are playing mobile games these days like cod, pubg and they will buy premium Samsung over iphone because nowdays there is very little performance difference
does it true that the system actually learns our habit on using the phone? so that after few days of usage, the phone will adapt and optimize the battery consumption?
partly correct
Don't like the UK price for starters.
So keeping my S10+ for few more years.
EE is selling it for £714 and you can get a further £150 cashback from Samsung if you buy it before the 2/7/2024.
*258gb
I wonder how pictures would look if the sky wasn’t so drab in all of them.
Will you do a exynos vs snapdragon video
Not sure, will think about it
Do you get 7 hours SOT gaming? Because I get 10-11 on my s23 without gaming.
Great stuff
This time samsung did pretty good job with AI i kind of like it❤❤
I upgraded from a Note 10+ to the S24 and i can 100% say the S24 is better
I just got the S24 base model and honestly....the display on my A54 5g is fat better. Speed wise....it's about the same as my A54 5g and my sons Moto G Stylus 2024..which has the best display of all 3.
Good phone, rather dull screen,so I'm going back to midrange devices...whom some have far better display,SD slot and audio jack
exynos still worse... SAR value for this s24 is 1.336 . SAR value in s23 is 0.886. now tell me exynos is worst or not !
Ive just got this phone,do i need to buy a glass screen pretector for it all other phones i had have had a plastic one already on
6:19 bro's playing fake Minecraft🤣🤣
im not meaning that in a rude way its just a bit funny
Do you need to spend extra for s24+ ?
Most of us just want "happy snaps" so quit with endless camera blurb!
well its sad we didn't get snapdragon version in india but exynous version is good great been using from january.
Can you compare the S24 against the global variant of the Xiaomi 14?
Does the S24 have a quick(e.g., capture picture of moving subjects mostly blurry free)shooter?
Xiaomi 😂😂😂
great video bro 💯..... can't wait for the s24 vs iphone 15
Coming soon!
Which one is better for camera video and performance (iphone 15 or samsung s24)??
they're mostly similar actually. reviewers tend to favor their favs, but for performance both can do the same with same and photos are just slightly different in the colors and at night
I'm definitely enjoying my s24
Which one you have Exynos and battery life & overall all good
Plz reply because I want to buy
@@fahaddawre2223the problem i faced is when i shoot photo and video under sunlight it heats a lot
Some of the "critical" reviews here are just nitpicks, overall S24 is good. The only downside was the Exynos version is almost same level as the S23.
5h SoT is as much as iphone 15 pro max so don't worry about it
I almost have 7h SoT every day with the exynos. I don't use battery save mode but insted the light mode, Adaptive Sreenbrightness, AoD off
Thanks. Notice that Google Play Services takes up 15% of my battery usage - the app using the highest amount of battery.
@@JamieD-pn1rw is it listed on your battery usage? Because i don't see it shown it with high usage
@@Saiyan6799 Yeah. According to details of it, it doesn't use screen and runs in background. Will have to try n disable it.
Great review for the exynos 2400. I subscribed. Waiting for the S24 vs iPhone 15.
Thanks for the compliment and the sub! Comparison will come, working on it.
@@DionMediawhat better you feel pixel 8a or S24
Look what they did to my boy Clark Kent
you got me at 'over-priced candle' lol
i bought s24 512gig exynos for my wife, with free 25w charger, buds fe and galaxy watch 6 for 800 usd shipped.
From where did you buy 512gb? I also want the same
Like the phone mostly, but really hate the function to take a screenshot. Mostly the volume control is activated, or the phone locks. This is a total fail! I will not buy another samsung unless this changes. Not sure who thought it was a good idea, but it's not. At the least it should have been pushed back on in testing. Gets the big thumbs down from me!
Any people have experience between s24 and pixel 8 ?
My S24 was worse in camera department. No improvement even after software update. Got iPhone 15 plus.
All AI will be charging to access compute on the cloud - just as they charge for cloud storage.
Worth going for the plus ??
has longer battery life if that is an important factor
Now is for 619€
It's worth it this mobile?
I love my S24. Good phone for a reasonable price👌🏾
The first thing I'm going to do is to debloat my phone. I don't need AI because It's making only headaches.
You do not have to use them
@JamesThomas-dn6ee Samsung phones and Galaxy Tabs come with lots of preinstalled apps many of which are useless to the end user. Such apps are called bloatware and because they are installed as system apps, the uninstall option for them remains unavailable.
@JamesThomas-dn6ee You can google - What android debloating means
They should implement the ai subscription right now so they can see the numbers and give up on the utter garbage that is ai.
I have the 15 plus and I like it. But I never had a Samsung flagship before. Is it worth trading the iPhone to an S24?
no bro you're good with the iPhone 15 plus only thing that would make you change to s24 is the 120hz screen overall they perform exactly the same
I opting to upgrade from a entry level honor x6 to either an iphone 15 or s24 can't make a choice xD
No company no matter how big should have the nerve to sell a phone close to a grand with a exynos chip!
My experience with the Exynos version this time is not that bad, neither of other users. Having said this, It would have been better if Samsung uses the same chip all over the world
Again. Some random content creator who put review and talks about specs not the actual user experience. Meh video too many similar content with better content
Hot do you turn AI off?
