You are killing it with your playing! Just picked one of these up, and after playing drums for 35 years it’s tougher to get the hang of it than I thought it would be- learning a whole new skill set…
No one seems to mention the "Record" section in the upper left. Can you record a performance loop and quantize it? Even looking in the manual it is almost ignored. Anyone know?
Sick playing. I'm learning guitar and bass and mainly play metal so your 2 videos on this were perfect. I'd definitely like to see more. Have you played a standard 4x4 drum controller before? Trying to decide if I get the Yamaha or a 4x4 like the Maschine Mikro.
I'm no expert here but I'm wondering the same thing too. I love the convenience of the FGDP. You can just play it anywhere without connecting to the laptop. On the other hand, I've seen a few finger drummers not recommending this device which is very sad. They said it's because of the layout is good for beginners only but it will be limited for advanced techniques. Some even said that just a keyboard is enough. Maybe the device doesn't matter because you'll always find a way to play it anyway? I don't know. I don't have any devices. Go for what you like the most?
@@NinPossible I've tried a small keyboard and it works ok, but found it difficult with dynamics due to the amount of travel of the keys. There might be a way around this.
Best FGDP video on youtube!
No offense to your Yamaha Global metal cover.
But IMHO this one is the best metal presentation so far of FGDP.
Thank you so much! 👍🏻
May ask what plugin you use in you DAW to program or play drums with FGDP ?@@TM-guitar

This so cool! Hope you have more videos like this!
Best midi drum pads available right now... bar none. Yamaha knocked it out of the park.
Excellent playing.🔥
thank you so much!
Excellent video I'd love to see more of these please 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much!
Killa track! I love the FGDP 30 and might upgrade to the 50
Hi. Excellent demo ! Can a MIDI file be placed in a USB key and played by the FGDP-30 or 50 ? Thanks for sharing :)
Did you change any velocity ? I wonder how you play double bass so well on it.
This sounds great. Does the 50 allow you to save the drum track you created? Are there any preset loops? Thanks.

Is this just the preset 01 Maple? Or did you alter any parameters or voicing before recording?
Either way - this is awesome. Thanks for the vid.
Awesome! What sensitivity are you using for the kick pad?
I am not sure exactly, but it was pretty high so that every hit was quiet strong.
👍 thanks
ty!
So how did U steer that GetGoodDrums samples with that controller? Im quite new to this Yamaha.
@@micha4431 usb connected to my mac computer. I use logic x and the samples from get good in this DAW.
@@TM-guitar so U only recorded midi tracks and rest of the work is left in DAW vsts?
@@micha4431 in this video yes. In the other Video not
Is it good for cafe gigs?
That’s a personal thing…hard to answer. I would say yes, if it’s in a electronic music surrounding.
wow man, awesome play !! are you using the FGDP sounds?
I like it, can you add a pedal for kick, hats, cross stick, cowbell or something?
Good question, I am not sure…
There's no trigger ins, but there's midi so probably via MIDI though that might require more gear than just the pedal

I’m having a hard time connecting to me computer. Do I need a host hub?

I read another comment re this device and the person said the cable they got with it was defective. Might just be that.
