I'm in the UK and grow a lot of cacti/aloe so thought I'd try a mandarin, I never thought the seeds I had from a fruit from the local supermarket would germinate but one did! 6 months old it's around 4 inches, I put 4 stakes in the pot as soon as I saw one come up and clingfilmed it to help with the humidity and bingo it's looking great, I'll keep it in its little home made propagator and hopefully it's strong enough to make it through the winter over here (inside ofc) yours looks great I'm going to hopefully turn mine into a Bonsai as I have a few I've grown from seed, great video
I like the way you are using your garden to produce tasty fruits. Where are you located? I'm also a keen grower of chilies and various fruits, Braeburn apple, red grape, 10 different sorts of very hot chilies, and since 2 years, a Clemantine plant from seed. The Clemantine hasn't produced any flowers but I'm hoping for next year. Today I brought the chilies and Clemantine inside as the nights are starting to get a little fresh here in North Germany.
Love eating food that we grow! It's so much better than the store bought. We are located in central Florida, so we have a pretty awesome growing season. It usually only freezes here, maybe two to three times a year from like Jan to March.
Would love to see an update on this tree! I’ll be trying to grow some from seed soon
