Very helpful video, I was just about to put new lifters in my srt4 and didn't know if I had to take the cams out. This is the only video I could find on RUclips showing putting new lifters in a srt4 motor
It might be the L2 cam cap that's machined improperly from the factory. You have to shave a couple parts of it off where it meets the head. There's a recall on it
My car made the exact same noise... I changed blocks, installed new wiseco pistons, rods, bearings, replaced the head and what do you know... I STILL HAVE THE FUCKING NOISE. Lol I really don’t think it’s anything serious I just wanna know what it is. I’m thinking it’s either the follower walking from side to side on the valve stem, or the valve making noise in the guide. Which is very possible.
Nice. You might already know, but if you are ever looking for an SRT-4 engine, they also came in the low-output Turbo model PT Cruisers and High-output Turbo PT Cruiser GT. They are very common and usually pretty cheap. Engine and turbo are the exact same as SRT-4, only the tune is different and stuff that bolts to the engine like the intake manifold and throttle body

Did the lifters and rockers ticking is still there. Plan on buying a new motor.

Does the engine has counterbalance shafts driven by chain as it is in n/a engine EDZ?
