I just did the head gasket on my DOHC 2.0, and the instructions I had specifically said (regarding the quarter turn at the end) NOT to use a torque wrench for tht step. haha. BTW, that car is super clean...where are you located?
I never use copper spray, if it was needed the gasket would come with it already on it. Also, when you remove the factory gasket you will notice - no copper spray in sight.
@@stagedracing8150 how would you know the head and block are perfectly aligned when you don't have the pins? You don't want ANY play at all between head and block.
I like it man! Check out my personal build on my channel if you love the srt-4! I saved her from the scrap yard and have spent a year building and restoring this thing! 22psi tuned by Mario at MI-Tuning!
Enjoy watching your build. Im actually doing a swap myself so your videos are helpful

About a hour west of Chicago
So if you lose/ break a cam cap, how do you go about getting new ones if they’re specific to the head?
Ether the head is trash or find a cam cap and have a machine shop machine shop clearance the tolorance.
You forgot the copper spray on the head gasket
I’ve never used it. And never had any issues before, but not a bad idea for next time.
I really enjoy watching your videos of this build and currently doing one my self as well

This car is still a thing? Lol. I had one brand new in 2004. Sold in 2008. Hurt a lot of feeings with it.
Yes sir!! the Srt4 engine are a lot strong then they get credit for.
You forgot your 2 block to head dowels
Not a big deal. I used the studs to help guide the head in place. I made sure the head and block are centered
