Christmas is here again. Just sitting here thinking about my childhood Christmases in Jamaica. We didn’t have much but we had family, good food and good times. From Christmas carollers before dawn on Christmas morning, to the gungo peas soup, blue draws, pork that was hanging over the ‘kreng kreng’(who remember what that was),sorrel, and so much more. The only time of year when I got a whole bottle of soda for myself (usually during the year, we have to share). Who remembers saving soda bottles during the year just to exchange it for a crate of soda at Christmas? And the beautiful Christmas carols on the radio. The ones about white Christmas always made us wish that we could see it. And the beautiful Christmas cards from relatives, local and foreign. I have such great Christmas memories from my life as a child growing up in Jamaica.
@@johncbny 🇯🇲Also, if you are from Kingston, what about "Christmas Market" (I believe it's now call "Grand Market"), nuh suh? We would go down to Coronation Market to buy cheap(made in China) toys that would only last, if you lucky, one week after Christmas😁.🇯🇲
@ … I remember I got one of those Chinese made plastic watches that we used to call ‘dummy watch’ from my father when I was about eight or nine. I cherished it so much even though it was useless. My mother would make us a new dress for Christmas. At school, the highlight would be the Christmas concert with the Christmas play. Only the top-of-the-line students got the best parts of Mary, Joseph and Jesus. The Christmas bedspread with the frilly skirt, new curtains and the floor shine until you can see your face in it.
❤Well done bigsuper. The people of St Thomas really deserve this improvement in moving about and its obvious the people are giving there support judging by how full the bus is and the frequency of the buses. It is a good sign
Having JUTC route from Kingston to Morant Bay. The HUTC team should have sorted this out and have in their planning and meeting where gonna have an office and Bus ticket 🎟 machine within the parish. Close to the park in Morant Bay, near Joong store, and further cose bus park should be bus 🚌 ticket machine. Big super I enjoy watching and thanks for taking another journey around St.Thomas and beyond. Seasons greetings and blessings to you and your family. Eating on the buses shouldn't be gonba have issues. Consuming water for hydration always. Respect ✅️🔊💯😇❤️🇯🇲🇯🇲🎟😃🙌🏾👏🏾
Thanks for taking us on the ride with you. I wish I remember some of those places you past. The Ward Theatre needs a face lift . Do they have air conditioning on those buses?. It's great to se them in ST. Thomas.
