    Received the Viltrox ef-l adapter today andtested it on my S1. Works with everything I have tried so far. Even the most difficult lens for adapters canon 22-55mm 4-5.6 usm works without any issue. Even the sigma lenses work better on the viltrox than on the sigma mc21. Some of them even don't want to get in and out in the mc21 easily. The plastic fantastic canon 50mm 1.8 mark 2 doesn't focus with the mc21 and works fine with the viltrox! The focus is incomparably consistent and faster compared to the sigma, even with sigma lenses

    haha bro that apartment iso setup is next level 🤣 glad you got the adapter! I pretty much manual focus 80% of the time on it...af is a bit hit and miss. Don’t think I’ll invest in a L-mount lens for the time being, got too many Canon lenses and I don’t think the L-mount lenses will retain much value. Sadly L-mount is such a niche atm that they’re kinda not future-proof

    Great job man!
    What kind of lenses do you use on it?
    I'm switching from Sony A7R III and I'm interested in buying the 70-200 Sports by Sigma for the lens quality, the only lens that I think I'll buy Lumix-brander would be the 16-35 (it's sooo light, sharp&nice mounted on!)
    Greetings from IT

    • @joyoffilming9500
      @joyoffilming9500 2 года назад

      I bought the Lumix 16-35 with my S1H (instead the recommended kit lens), and it is really great and so light weight. Anyway, in the mean time I may have bought the Sigma 14-24 f2.8 instead. It would have been even cheaper, but a bit more on the heavier side, and it has a curved front lens. I run this for stills on my Nikon D810 for which it became my "always-on" lens.

    What did you use to film this review?
    I'm trying desperately to decide on what type of video camera to buy first. I also have a bunch of cannon lenses for the rebel xti, But I really need something relatively affordable to start filming with.

    Question about that tripod mount thing on the bottom of the adapter. It looks removable, but is there any kind of bracket you could replace that with that would then be able to screw into a s1r cage? I had something like that for a metabones adapter + gh5 cage and it made a super solid connection

      @@MatthewVandeputte Thank you for the quick test ! That is very unfortunate. I recently purchased the Panasonic S1 for the use on a microscope with the hope of using the EFC to reduce shutter shock. The electronic shutter is simply not the best choice in all situations.
