We drove separately for years, worked great as she could do some shopping while I hit the road, another good thing was she could scope out a campsite ahead of me, or warn me of oncoming wide loads on narrow roads up north.

I’ve bogged my rig a few times. Using the spinning dual wheels as a bobbin, I would find an anchor point in the right direction then feed a rope between the wheels through the outside wheel and loop over the hub. Slow speed wind up the rope and pull out of the situation. Look forward to watching you use this next time you are bogged.

Amazing, thank you for the tip, we need as many as we can get. The rope is strong enough to not rip?

@@DiandSam I keep a sturdy rope for this, but I have used some very flimsy stuff before. Just go steady, you just need enough resistance to stop the spin, not to lift the whole vehicle. Load restraint straps, clothesline rope, even knotted rags will work if you are on level ground and your belly isn’t dragging on the ground. Get 50m of 12mm nylon rope (won’t rot on you) and you’ll be amazed how easily you will get yourself out of trouble.

Hi Di and Sam. I’m sorry it started off the way it did. Nothing like a little stress to get your heart beating. And so it begins. The start of your dreams and all your heard work paying off. Welcome to victory guys. Be sure to let us know where your meet up is so we don’t miss seeing you guys. Well done on being well below on your weight. Sam great job mate especially dealing with the fog. Your legend. Di you can destress now he made it safe.

Omg Rose I know the stress was so intense, I thought for sure we would be stuck forever hahaha. But we made it safe and were surrounded by so many cute critters :)
For sure, were just settling in and finalising things with the bus and then I'll be sure to post about meet ups and get in touch with people who are keen to show us their spaces!

@@DiandSam hehe you was never going to be stuck for ever. I had every faith in you both.
We are so looking forward to seeing you both again. It’s hard to believe but it’s nearly a year ago we meet now I think. I hope you guys are settling in well as well as the fur babies. Take care.
