Your hub lockers might be getting stuck. Keeping axels turning. Front u joints should not turn when not locked in. That’s probably what caused the early failure, unless you really do use 4x4 that much

Thanks for the insight, I'll have to look into that. I did replace the hub lockers recently but perhaps 200k is about what you get with u joints…either way not complaining
