Great job brother! Quite a few good birds up there and good returns. Love the trees changing colors from week to week on your videos! Just beautiful! God bless and good luck on the next one
Thank you brother yes the changing of the leaves is beautiful....I would like to end the race season with at least one bird in the five positions that would be great.
Is next week the final race of the season? It’s been nice to see you grow from the tiny loft with a few birds to what you have now. Look forward to watching you get better and better. Adrian has been a wealth of knowledge to help me with racing.
Yes Sir next week is the last race of the season....Thank you for your kind words.....No doubt I need help, my birds molt during our race season, I'm thinking next year on using the lighting system but I need to know how to work it.
@@cavenderloft hard to be competitive that way. Even the most willing birds cannot fly well with missing feathers. If you would like some help with any of the systems I’m more then willing! For me it isn’t about the win, it’s about proving which breeders are my best. I do like winning though 😂
They did ok.. Looks like it was kind of a blow home race with the wind out of the SW and 1600 ypm times.. Where was the new bird being kept in order for a hawk be able to reach in to the cage and grab her like that?
The smaller loft behind my bigger loft....I had her in the garage for about 8-days, she was in the aviary when the hawk grabbed her...she is young the other birds go in loft when hawks come around....wire is 1x1 inch, guys in my club told me yesterday that I need smaller wire on my aviaries.
i tend to err on the side of very heavy wire and 1/4 to 1/2 inch... or a doubled layer with the outer layer a few inches away from the inner layer. when i built an indoor aviary for finches, we doubled the wire because otherwise my cats clawed at them through the wire... @@ausfuhrpramienjagar

@@cavenderloft I hope nothing but the best for you my friend. Hope you get 2 top spots !
Thank you Buddy and I hope you get voted into the "Little Loft On The Hill" race.
@@cavenderloft same to you. You were one of my votes I look forward to going head on with those cavender bullets
Good luck with the last race. Hopefully you will get your other bird back.
Thank you friend, It didn't come back today but it's been raining off and on all day and the same tomorrow maybe it will still make it home.
@@cavenderloft hopefully he will come home

@@cavenderloft I run the light system. But living so far North I’d recommend the dark system, which Adrian runs.
Any sign of the 7th bird the white grizzle 👍🇬🇧
Not as of this morning...I'm still watching for it.
What system do you race on (light/dark/modified)? Seems like some birds are right on and some molting. Molting bird cannot perform at their best.
I haven't used any system I guess just natural.

@@cavenderloft ... Ah, ok. Yeah, it should be 1/2" wire mesh.. That'll stop any grabs from the outside.
