Yes Sir she is, we are basketing for a 400 mile race today for this weekend she will be going.
I had a bird come home 7 months later. I hate hearing a bout the bop problem. You did way better then up over the weekend Congrats sir
Thanks for watching buddy.
@@cavenderloft lol you know I will. We have to stick together us crazy pigeon people
You got that right Lol.
@@cavenderloft one of this days I want to try to find a way to get your email or something so we talk a bit more
Do you have a Facebook? I have one for my pigeons Cavender Loft.
I’ve been behind on videos. How did the net work for you? I’d also consider shutting down the old birds and figuring out what’s going on with them. Something is off with those times.
I believe the ball cage helped but the hawks have been very bad this year for some reason. We have two races left I plan on finishing the season....today my old birds had their best day of training the whole season hopefully they'll do better in the next race.
@@cavenderloft good luck. I have a peregrine that has recently discovered my birds. He hasn’t gotten any but he definitely gets them moving and give me my heart attacks.
I love watching them fly. When I got back into pigeons I had no intentions of racing, just wanted to have some birds in the yard. My cousin who raised pigeons as a kid also talked me into joining the club then he didn't stay in the club with me. No worries on the lost birds, BOP are hard on em. Thankfully this time of year they're not as thick around here so I just let the young birds do their thing without worry. They'll be back around September here.
I to got into pigeons just to watch them fly I didn't know that there was such a thing as racing pigeons until I looked on You Tube.
@@cavenderloft I always wanted to race as a kid but couldn't afford a clock or race fees so never did. I trained em like they were racing.
@@jasonjordan9101 Yes Sir.
Yup, they should be able to do 207 miles in 4 hrs easily, not 6.5 - 7 hrs. Something isn't right with those birds. Maybe it's time to reevaluate their training methods and what they are getting in the way of feed, vitamins and minerals so they can perform at their best. They are definitely lacking something that's for sure. Instead of getting better as the races progress, which they should be doing, they are going backwards instead. Just being honest with my 2 cents worth from what I'm seeing.
I keep racking my brain, yesterday morning I was wondering if they are not getting enough light they are only getting our natural light so last night I left the lights on all night this morning's training toss of 34.5 Miles was the best they have done all season, so I wonder if that could be a factor.
@@cavenderloft .. The lights have nothing to do with their ability to fly well, just so you know. There's more going on than the length of daylight. Physically they aren't able to make the distance during racing mode it seems.
Okay
