Fun trivia, if you are able to level a Pokémon over level 100 (which can be done, at least as an outcome of cartridge corruption). Pokémon will start disobeying even if you have Giovanni’s badge
I don’t think that’s true. The last badge lets any lvl pokemon obey. I glitched out my blue version with lvl 356 snorlax. All 6 of them obeyed me without problems. The only problem was any exp would make them lvl 100. I only used them against battles with other people as my trump group.
Absolutely not what I expected to see during the Month of Jrose, I've watched that video a half dozen times. Well I mean I've fallen asleep to it a half dozen times and watched it once.
You can use disobedience to your advantage. It still uses a PP of move you intended the Pokemon if it uses a different move. Don't use the move's last PP. Instead use a different move.
@Jrose11 You know what, if you were to apply the logic of using items and an extensive knowledge of missingno. It is possible to get any pokemon over lvl 100. The key is catching them over lvl 100 and only using rare candies. The next battle with any experience gain will lvl them to lvl 100. If you had say 6 over lvl 100 weedles, could you beat the game with just weedle. I like to think yes. I don’t think you said you had to have only 1 of the pokemon. I mentioned this on the Sword video, but the obedience cap indirectly affects singleplayer in Sword/Shield too by controlling which Pokemon are “very strong-looking” in the Wild Area - the game straight-up makes them uncatchable if you don’t have enough badges.
Been around since the catch ‘em all days. I remember playing against you in randbats on Showdown some time after the original Magikarp video, I believe it was just after hitting 2 mil. I thought it’d be easy, but as soon as I hit Lv. 10 they became unusable until I beat Misty. Then the cap goes to Lv. 30 until you beat Erica, which can be a challenge. But then it’s Lv. 50, which is high enough to beat the E4 with some skill, so obedience is no longer an issue. But that pre-Misty game was rough!
