  • Hi guys! This is my first "how-to" using a Pullip Make It Own kit. Please keep in mind I'm still learning - and I am open to all tips to getting better! I'll also do a video of this kit being finished step by step into a new doll...yet to be designed. :)

    She is so pretty! Also I would like to inform you about such great deals on eBay on older pullip dolls new in box! The auction starts each of them at $49.99 and $10.00 shipping! There is pullip Arietta, Red Riding Hood, Withered, and Raphia! It's hard to find older dolls and I thought it be great if you gave them a home, because no one seems to be buying them! I would buy them, but I am planning on getting Merl for Christmas. :)

    Lisa Bitmead - sorry I could not respond to your comment. Weird. Anyway I use MSC matte to seal my dolls. I'm putting out a step by step video soon that actually shows you the whole process. :)

    Very good video, you explained everything so well! Maybe one day I'll be brave and try to make my own doll... I have never customized dolls, but I've been taking art classes for years. As a result, I happen to have a big assortment of art material. I've tried many different brands, and, in case you are interested, Caran d'ache soft pastels are excellent. As for the coloured pencils, the best I've tried are Faber-Castell Polychromos-- less wax and more pigment. If you go to an art shop, you can buy soft pastels and coloured pencils individually and get only the colours you need.

    i recently bought one, i was also a bit freaked out by how pale she was , i was lucky to get the last one the other was tanned ,the only problem was the screws were all big, 3 were meant to be small but wouldn't go in ,so im going to try and get some that fit bit of a shame cause i was expecting higher quality for the price ,im now after a obitsu body ,lol also got a tangkou but her head was split on one side a burn on wrist and one purple eye was a little chiped wobly limbs ,and the eyes are a little non semetricle im fussy bout things like that ,i think pullips are better made ,i hope so for the price again too expensive for a doll, and im too scared to spray the face although iv dun a few monsterhigh repaints sometimes it goes on looking a bit cracked and chips off if over sptayed iv only got hlf a can left of mr superclear .

  • @TammyPowley

    I'm learning so much from your videos & now aspire to make my own Pullip from the kit, but since I have never done any type of face painting have decided to start with some old Barbies I picked up at the thrift store. Is there a difference in the materials the dolls are made of? I ask because you and others I've watched on RUclips are using pastels & water colored pencils & then a sealer, but then I've seen people painting other doll faces, like those Bratz dolls, and they are using acrylic paints and then some kind of sealer. Before I purchase a bunch of supplies to do face ups, I just want to understand the difference - if there is one. TIA

    • @OmochaCrush
      @OmochaCrush  9 лет назад +1

      Tammy Powley The issue some people have with acrylic paints on Pullip dolls in particular is that they absorb into the plastic. Yikes! But starting with Barbies and Monster High dolls is very common and I have heard that acrylic paints are fine. My favorite repaint channel is Nicolle's dreams. If you haven't checked out her channel, she's amazing: ruclips.net/video/Jg_WgImWYYc/видео.html
      Good luck! Hope to see your work soon!

    Hi, She is really very pretty, I love her long lashes and violet eyes. I'm still nervous about doing a face up. I'm not very artistic.

    • @OmochaCrush
      @OmochaCrush  9 лет назад +1

      I say the same thing, but I looked at a lot of pictures online for ideas. My biggest issue are the brows. i can't do brows! But it is fun to learn.

    • @OmochaCrush
      @OmochaCrush  9 лет назад

      I know what you mean. Just to get started you need so many extra things and an artistic ability! But that is part of the fun. I went into the project expecting to destroy the doll. But she turned out ok! :)

    Hi, do you have to use the Mr.Super Clear thing? I was just wondering if it was absolutely 100 percent necessary . Lol im just asking cause overnight seems like a very long time to try and contain my excitement

    • @OmochaCrush
      @OmochaCrush  8 лет назад

      +Jessica Jung Well you use Mr. Super Clear (or another sealant) to finish the doll so the face-up doesn't bleed. But you might wipe the faceup off a few times to get it just right. You should be excited - working with Make it Own kits is super fun!!
