- Hi guys, I put this video together of how I created my Make it Own Lenore Pullip doll. Please ask questions or offer suggestions - I am still an amateur and want to learn! :)

I am getting my first MIO kit soon! I'm very excited, but very nervous about it because I am doing every single step by hand... even the clothing AND the wig/hairstyle. Lara Mansk I could not answer you directly, but the sealant I use is called "Mister Super Clear" or "MSC" for short. The eyes were tough! I would recommend acrylic paint with loose glitter applied with a Q-tip (cotton swab). If you mess up the face, be sure to have sandpaper (1000 grit) and some nail polish remover to remove the paint. Be careful and have patience! You will be fine.

I have a loose eye mech in 1 of my girls and omg it's scary...I tried 2 close it and I think a wink bar or spring is messed up but I'm 2 scared 2 open her up and close her head back because I've never done that before and I'm rly sad she can now close 1 eye...if u could make a video on fixing something like that 4 new collecters that would make me happy...plus I could ship her 2 u in her box but I mean like I'm just afraid I might break her ...I could pay u 2 do it if u r willing 2 fix her 4 me

what sites do you suggest to use when you buy pullip wigs? i have bought all of my wigs on ebay or obviously recived them on pullip dolls i purchased but i am curious to know if there are better ways to get wigs for custom pullips. You are s good at customizing by the way

I'm got a Pullip MIO kit, but I had a couple questions. I was wondering for the face up can you use any type of colored pencil, or pastel? Also do you have to use pastel on the lips? My last question is how do you attach the wig to the doll? If you know please let me know. Thanks!

No u can't use oil pastels, soft pastels only. And only watercolour pencils and acrylic paints are good too.
But i don't know someone uses highguality color pensils too
And u can attach wig whit glue or tape or u can just put it on dolls head

I think it's called Mr. Superclear, and if you make a mistake you can use sandpaper, but make sure it has enough sand grains in it so you don't end up permanently scratching your doll's face ;-;

I'm so planning to get my first pullip mio kit. I have never done a custom before. how many times to use the mr super clear spray? and it's easy to remove make up if I failed? tnx
+XxReshiramXx Legendary I typically use the MSC spray 3-4 times. But as you go, see if you like it! I often draw on eyebrows 4 times and wipe off with sandpaper before I get it right. Just take your time, don't stress and enjoy it!

Amanda Van cleave Is it a stock doll or a MIO kit with faceup? Taking off stock face-up is work - you will need to "wet" sand the face and get your elbows ready for some work. Haha. But you should try!!
Is there something else you can use as a replacement to Mr. Super Clear? Is it necessary to do that step at all?
LightsCameraAGz Yes, you can use lots of different types of sealants, as long as they are "matte" and not glossy. The reason you want to use a sealant is to make sure your makeup stays put, and the sealant also takes that "shiny" plastic look away. A local craft store likely has options for you to choose.
+LightsCameraAGz just an fyi, do NOT use a sealent with acetone in it. I will melt your doll. Thats what happened to mine :,(
so I'm thinking about getting one of these kits, I do have a few questions though. is it hard to assemble the eye mechanism? also should I paint the eyes from the inside or outside? my final question is what brand of chalk pastels, paints and pencils would you recommend? thank you so much for this awesome video. you're amazing at what you do :)

You should paint the eyechips on the inside, and for chalk pastels and paints and pencils, you should use arcrylic paints, and normal soft chalk pastels (Non oil based) and for pencils you could use Prismacolors, Prismacolors are pretty expensive but they work very well.

TheWorldOfGames it's easy! Just use glue, I think even hot glue will work. If you want removable wigs, glue a piece of Velcro to the head and then glue or sew the other half of Velcro to the wig.

is there another sealant you can use?
Yes! I have heard people use something called "ZM" and Testor's Dullcote. I would try a local hobby shop and ask if they have something that could work. Be sure to get a flat finish sealant so your dolly isn't shiny!

Lolcat4ever I use colored pencils and art pastels. You can purchase them on Amazon or at a local art store. In the US I go to Michael's crafts store for art supplies.

Lisa Heere The kits are a little hard to find sometimes, but Groove has them on pre-order: www.jpgroove.com/shop/index.php/pre-oder/mf001natural.html You should also check Pullipstyle sometimes - they offer them at a lower price but at the moment they're out of stock. Buying them on eBay can be tough, as people mark up the prices sometimes.
