1. You absolutely do not need that mesh thing, just tie it down the same way around basically anything: barbecue sticks, pencils, knitting needles etc, etc... 2. The length of the weft is limited to the length of the yarns fibers (yarns are made when spinning the ends of the fibers together, when you brush it you will break the fibers apart again as they're not really 'attached' to each other, other than being tightly spun). You can actually collect the fluff when you're done, just hold it down with a finger and brush that out and continually adding the new fluff of the brush to this new weft! With enough patience there will be basically no excess left. 3. Straightening is also possible in a thousand different ways, as many people have commented just pour hot water on them then brush again, you can iron them on a low setting, heck you can probably just rinse them in cold water, brush flat and then put something heavy on top like a stack of books and leave over night, get creative!
This isnt only awesome for dolls, but to make your own wigs aswell! Ofcourse it will take a long period of time an effort, but I think it will be worth it in the end. also it will be styleable to your wish and look kinda more natural then synthetic wighair ♡
Sorry this is so late but is there a way to have minimal fall out for this?? I'm trying to make hair extensions and can't brush them out througly cuz the yarn just snaps in half even tho the length isn't much
Hey guys! I know I'm not Mozekyto, but it seems like a lot of people are asking about an alternative to the mesh material, so I thought I'd try and help! Try using the tray that you put cookies on to cool, and it should work just the same!
i do the same style of knot over a knitting needle. i find it works well as you can knot a whole ton on and move it up and down to separate it and then sew.glue the wefts all at once
it seems no matter how gentle I brush with a pet hit hair brush, it destroys the yarn. yes Im using 100 percent acrylic yarn. I followed spot on from direction to how the visual is. it just not working for me.
Yeah, I have been having that issue, too. * The bits that didn't come apart? Separate them from the brushed yarn and brush them on their own. That way, you aren't re-brushing and tearing the already straight-ish parts. * Don't try to get the whole thing fully brushed while it's attached to whatever you attached it to. Do what you can, clip it off, flip it around and do the "roots" that are still unbrushed. I don't foresee me being able to get nice, long fibres but trying these things seems to yield more potentially usable fibre.
+Mia Coco it has a maximum length I've been making yarn tails for a year now (same method) it will only brush or to a certain length you can't make it as long as you want
Thank you for this video! I've always wanted to make a custom Ever After/ Monster High, but I was always too afraid to order all of the hair, rerooting tools, pliers, etc. This is an awesome alternative for people like me who are just starting out! Keep up the great work! I subbed. :) ♡
Finally used this tutorial to get around to making my own wig for my bjd. Ran into a few snags but thanks to yhe bjd groups I'm in I've moved past and I'm ready to cut the yarn to glue wefts. Now to watch one of your wig videos again to choose thr style I want and make it for Miu
This comment was like a year ago, but am I the only one who doesn't know what glue they used??? I'm trying to make fur from yarn for my cosplay but I have no idea what glue to use
My straightener doesn't have an actual temperature setting so I spent a whole night trying to find the sweet spot to straighten the wefts. On a scale of 1-20, its a 15. Also, the single row wire brushes don't work that well. I would go with the one she is actually using.
I'm thinking of using this tech nice to make some fur for ears instead of buying it. I've worked with yarn a lot and honestly this was so easy to follow and I just really wanna try it out. It's so cool and you're so amazing at this! I mean even just your technique is good. So yeah. This is amazing.
This tutorial is AMAZING. Currently trying it with a pastel colored yarn, and the results are coming along wonderfully. I'm trying to make some other wefts as well, but I'm having some issues with those. For some reason, whenever my strings are longer than the one I was using for the other ones, they end up practically shredding, knotting, and getting ripped apart. And this is being VERY gentle with them. They shrink to at least a third of their size. Any recommendations? :( I want to make a pretty long wig
Comes in very handy for my crochet goodies with hair😊 I used a very similar technique for my crazy-haired purple Minion I made 2 years ago. Only, I brushed out the yarn when it was attached to the Minion's head and I didn't use a straightener, but it came out beautifully and soft and wild and fluffy 😄 Thank you for the tutorial 👍😎
Thank you so much for this yarn wig series. Yarn is so much cheaper than actual synthetic hair (at least in Poland) and looks so awesome! Please make more videos about customizing dolls
I'm making my first ever doll custom (at least only the hair to start) and this tutorial is incredibly useful! I mixed 3 different colors for a cute highlights and streaks in the weft.
omg !! im so glad that i found this channel!! you really changed my life and make me really want to become a doll designer more and do these with the wigs ! i really hope you make more vids your the best !! thank you very much!
i actually bought acrylic yarn for this exact purpose once, since i'd run out of the color of roving i needed. the end product was terrible! it made this weird bunching spider web pattern when i tried to felt with it, haha. if you're gonna try this, i'd definitely advise giving wool yarn a go!
WOW! That was amazing! You totally deserve more subs! I'm so glad that I found your channel, thanks to Dollightful. You are so creative! Just subscribed :)
If you use a lot of glie, it'll be rough, but if you added the right amount of glue and let it fully dry, im pretty sure u can sew on this wefts >w< Good Luck!
I have the same problem🙁maybe just take the yarn waaayyy longer than you want it to be in the end and when you brush it and it get's shorter, it's just the right size🤔
OMG MOZEKITO THIS THING ABSOLUTELY SAVED MEH LIFE! I might be over exaggerating it a bit too much but we bought like £15 wort of supplies for the yarn wefts and the yarn wut look un even...but this helped me so oooo much! THANK YOU! BTW I love your videos and dolls
A few tipps for you guys 1. You can sew the strands when you dont have glue 2. When youre crafty you can make needlefelts instead of pillow fluff 3. Cutting them with an eyebrow trimmer can make them look thinner. 4. I use a pighair brush because i have no pets
Potentially stupid questions but 1 what kind of glue do you use and 2 what sort of plastic are you using? I tried to use elmers glue all on glass from a picture frame(I don't have plastic and not really sure where I'd find any) and it was like rubber cement. I've got yarn permanently attached to glass now lol.
I've used Aleens Tacky Glue and it works out pretty well. I tend to use clear plastic from doll packaging. The only problem with Tacky Glue is that it takes forever to dry!
iv been trying this for a couple of days and cant get them as straight and silky as yours :S i tried making them really long as well and all the wefts end up the same length 11cm
To make it silky straighten it,put conditioner in a bowl of hot water, use a wooden mixing stick to resolve it,dip your weft in but don't let the glue touch the water, hang it up to dry for two hours or more and comb it with a normal human comb. To make it longer, use 50cm long yarn .do this by cutting 1meter of cardboard and rapping 1meter if yarn Arlington and cutting one side to make 50cm hair.then once you fluff it it should be 30cm+
I know it's going to be hard but I'm aiming for a human wig. Gotta make one asap for our school karaoke party which I'm supposed to be Sia. Thank you a looottt
Amanda Well it took a lot time to do that but we made sth looks decent. I found a white beanie and i glued the large wefts and made my way up to the crown of the head. I made the fringe and it's actually something that someone with a style can wear everyday :D
I'm thinking of trying This out for a cosplay (first time, but I'm used to doing diy and sewing) I haven't been able to find a wig that would work for the project. If It's ok. I would like to ask some questions: How long did it take? How much yarn did You use? How did it end up looking (if You put up your pictures anywhere I'd be awesome with a link)?
Just wanted to say *Thank You!* This worked out pretty well for me - Granted you can't make super duper long hair this way for your doll, its a great way to add hair on a budget. I manage to get my wefts about 4 to 5 inches using Acrylic Yarn via Micheal's Arts & Crafts however I don't use the "normal" type of Acrylic Yarn. I'm using Red Hearts "Unforgettable" brand, it looks like spun fiber in itself (almost looks like alpaca hair tbh but it's not and its shorter than Alpaca lol) ... I get good length out of it and it looks beautiful when finished. I guess the only drawback that sorta sucks is this particular type does not really offer a *solid* color (or my local Micheal's is just low on stock) since I am looking for a decent white or black color. That's so far the only major drawback I've encountered using this method. I do have actual Alpaca hair as well which I haven't worked with yet - But if I find a better yarn that yields longer fibers besides 4 to 5 inches I'll make sure to come back. Also don''t cut your yarn longer thinking it'll yield longer fibers, each fiber is a *set length* so you're just wasting yarn at some point. The type I use I can't just unravel it via my fingers since it's not like typical yarn.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I started making wefts for hair, but when I didn't like how that turned out I used them more in my doll clothing. Now my first custom has a beautiful faux-fur dress, and it's thanks to you and this video. Thanks bunches!
WOW!! This is amazing! This a good alternative for me, want to use animal hair, but don't want to worry about if it's sourced ethically, and just as a good alternative in general! It's so much cheaper to buy a cheap ball of wool, rather then buying and shipping synthetic hair. Keep up the awesome videos! :)
No, you can't. It has to be at least 80% acrylic. Wool is not only more expensive, but when brushed out like this it will eventually felt, and heat destroys it. I make yarn tails for sale, you can not use wool for these kinds of fiber products.
Your tutorials are fabulous. Thank you for you generosity in sharing how to do all of this. I'm trying it myself as I type, and I've found that if you don't have any hair straighteners, pressing with an iron on a synthetic setting also gives you lovely glossy tresses. :)
Holy moly! This was actually so informative! I actually even like the yarn before its straightened! That would make a cool fluffy wig! Thanks now I have to try this!
Its up to you, it looks like if you dont straighten it, you get an afro look, which is fun. If you really wanted to, maybe use the straightener where/when your mum can supervise?
thanks! that'd be cool. maybe mum could supervise sometimes and sometimes it could be afro-ish. i could maybe put it between some books if i was desperate.
I think that would work if it is acrylic yarn but Ive never tried it, so not sure on how that would turn out for something that wasnt previously straightened.
Btw....this does work with a regular iron (the kind for ironing clothes) if you set it to the lowest setting and are very careful. My iron has the settings labeled with examples of which kind of fabric each setting is used for, and setting 1 says "acetate, acrylic".
Rosie johnson sorry if this is very late but yes you can you just have to put it on your lowest most normal setting and only go through it 2-3 times in the hair
Thank you so much for these videos for yarn doll wigs! I'm looking to make doll customs for a senior/capstone project, and this is something even a broke college student like me can do!
This is so helpful. I had learned about making doll hair with yarn and I’ve seen a couple people do it and I’m trying to do it for BJD doll I’m making and it did not turn out well so I’m gonna try this technique.
This really worked well for me! It took FOREVER though, since I don't have a dog brush and I had to use my fingers to create heat to fray out the yarn. Still worked though! I also didn't use the mesh but I TIED the ends of three strands together. Thank you for this helpful video! :)
Yes, acrylic is made with plastic that is melted into a very thin continuous strand that is then made into yarn, cotton and wool are small hairs that are twisted together to make a strand. I've seen a lot of people use higher end yarns because they think the hair will be better but it will end up extremely short, full plastic is the way to go!
Started trying this out tonight. It's not hard-hard, but you definitely make it look easier than it is. I had such trouble gluing the wefts down, the glue kept sticking and pulling out strands of hair. I also took your measurement and translated it into inches, but everything was so incredibly short by the end of it. I'm going to try it again very soon, this time doubling it to about a foot in length to see if I can make my doll hair longer.
I think you can also use a hot iron if you don't have a straightener. I've used it on many synthetic wigs and it worked out. Usually you'll go for the lowest temp setting, or if your hot iron is marked with fabric types use the setting for synthetic fibers.
wow! this video was so helpfull!! I was so anoyed how mucb it is to buy doll hair from online shops, but now i can save so much time and money! also im a big fan!
Thank you so much! You just solved my dilemma. I "rescued" several MH dolls from a thrift shop (two cat girls and the conjoined twins mermaids doll) and thought it would be fun and inexpensive to customize them. But then I looked at the price of doll hair and rerooting tools and such...yikes! But this...this I already probably have everything for! It's a miracle! Now for a miracle regarding something to fill in their tiny wasp waists and build up their arms to have a little more muscle...lol
Thank you very much. I truly enjoy the entire wig making process. I’m going to try this technique with natural fibers as well to make wigs for my dolls. ❤️❤️❤️
This video is very very cool!!! I think I could now make some myself, but to use in card decoration, vs just wigs for dolls, only because it's so fluffy, silky, & just so beautiful!!!! Thank you, for making this vid!!!
I like to use Caron Simply Soft because it can make really long wefts. I also sew the wefts and wig cap. It takes a lot of time, but makes a really flexible wig.
another way to make ur yarn hair doll straight is to brush 3-4 times after it was fully brush then iron it make sure u repeat that until its silky smooth What an easy tutorial!
Thanks for this wonderful tutorial. When I iron the hair the zigzag curlz come back in the hair. I have no idea wat kind of yarn I have, I just used what I had in the house to try. I set the Iron at 180 degres, like said in your video.
Ah! Thank you soooooo much! For my first custom, I was wondering how in the world I was going to make the hair, because I have no re-rooting tool. This was VERY helpful!!
this is so cool and well explained! thank you for making all these tutorials on wigs. Quick question: if I don't have a hair straightener can I use a regular clothing iron as a substitute?
I found using 80% acrylic, 20% wool works pretty well. Also using a super bulky yarn works well. You'll still pull a lot out but you're left with a lot more and easier to use your straight iron on without melting it. If you use the 100% acrylic yarn it will come out looking silkier but it's typically hard to brush out.
YOU ARE A GENIUS!!! I wanted to make some doll wigs and thought how i have to buy some synthetic hair... but now i don't have to, since i have a lot of yarn :3 ty so much you have new sub!
this works really well! I'm making my first wig right now. but I was wondering if was normal for the yarn itself to become shorter in this process, or if I'm brushing to hard?
Oh my gosh!! I had no idea you could do this with yarn. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I cannot wait to try this now!!! So fluffy!!
Its quite a convenient discovery! You're welcome and have fun making lots of it!!😁
Right me neither... All the money I could've saved on doll hair....
omg!Dollightfull!...I want say hello.
*Dollightful
all the extra on the brush is less than what comes off my cat...
Tip - Thicker and bulkier yarn unravels much easier, and there's less effort needed to make it into usable doll hair floof.
That's something i've noticed while trying out different yarns :3
Thx
THANK YOUUU, ive been using thin wool and always get a super short end result no matter the length of the starting wool
Does it matter what type of yarn you use
@@demakusan Yeah, you should use acrylic - I'm not sure exactly why, but that's the type I always hear people using & recommending
@@egg-mr4kf thank you 😊
For those without a straightener, or simply looking for silkier, smoother results; use fabric softener or conditioner mixed with boiling hot water! Let it soak for 5 minutes then hang it up to dry. After, brush it using a fine-toothed comb.
Hope this helps!
This is super late, but what ratio of softener to water do you recommend?
Thanks :)
@@maverickstudios1474 I'm not sure but comfort intense worked for me
bro thank you so much, i don’t have one so i was looking for a replacement
I just washed it with shampoo and let it rest in hot water but thanks!
Instead of using a hair straightener, you can pour hot water over the wefts and then brush them again. This worked for me, anyway.
:O really?!
I don't have a hair straightener so I'll have try that!
Cool, I don't have a straightener. Thanks for the tip!
You can acutally use an iron too, just make sure it's on the right setting.
THANKS SO MUCH!
I love your username btw

Thanks so much for these tips! I thought I'd have to look for mesh and dig out an old straightener, but now I don't need to. Thanks!
Thanks for the length thing! I noticed they were always coming out the same length but i didn’t know why!
Number 2 is very true so I recommend testing different brands and yarns to get the desired length
what glue can i use for the yarn? is normal white glue enough?
oh my gosh i didn't know you could make such beautiful doll hair out of yarn
Exactly! I custom My little ponies, but I always have to use cheap weird hair... until now!

iv been trying this for a couple of days and cant get them as straight and silky as yours :S
i tried making them really long as well and all the wefts end up the same length 11cm
Also remember that yarn has a maximum legth. If changing technique doesn't work, change brands of yarn
Plus, try unraveling the yarn by hand before combing it.
I don't know why, but I find this video really soothing to watch.
I know it's going to be hard but I'm aiming for a human wig. Gotta make one asap for our school karaoke party which I'm supposed to be Sia. Thank you a looottt
Zoey Walter how did it go?
Amanda Well it took a lot time to do that but we made sth looks decent. I found a white beanie and i glued the large wefts and made my way up to the crown of the head. I made the fringe and it's actually something that someone with a style can wear everyday :D
Wish you luck, that'll be hard, and it will also take a lot of yarn!
I'm thinking of trying This out for a cosplay (first time, but I'm used to doing diy and sewing) I haven't been able to find a wig that would work for the project.
If It's ok. I would like to ask some questions:
How long did it take?
How much yarn did You use?
How did it end up looking (if You put up your pictures anywhere I'd be awesome with a link)?
Oh gosh no lol. Just make a hot glue gun wig, use synthetic hair wefts, hot glue gun the wefts to a dome wig cap. RUclips has plenty of tutorials.
Just wanted to say *Thank You!*
This worked out pretty well for me - Granted you can't make super duper long hair this way for your doll, its a great way to add hair on a budget.
So helpful to people like me who don't like to re root a dolls hair 😍💙
Wow the possibilities in color combinations are endless. Thank you 👍🏽👏🏽🤗
Awesome! I can actually try to make this! Not only can I have hair for a custom doll im trying to make, but I can also have pillow fluff>w
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I started making wefts for hair, but when I didn't like how that turned out I used them more in my doll clothing. Now my first custom has a beautiful faux-fur dress, and it's thanks to you and this video. Thanks bunches!
I love so much your videos, I'm so glad that I can make wigs myself. Could you make a video about "how to make a curly wig?" Thank you! ♥
i dont have a hair straightener so will a iron and sheets of backing paper work
It should if you make sure it is on a low setting, but a hair straightener is the most ideal :-)
Thank you
I use an iron set to polyester setting. Makes it nice and smooth and shiny
shastapurpledaisy yes I try ed that
Menuda artista eres, y encima lo compartes con todo el mundo. Tienes muuuucho talento
when i brush it until it's tangle free i literally have NO yarn left because it breaks before it can unravel or detangle
you have no idea how happy I am to have found this. ^^ this will go a long way.
I wonder if you could make a human wig like this 🤔
Raven Skymaven you can, just you will need thicker wefts and a lot of time off your hands XD lol
Eren Does a Thing Lol.
Raven Skymaven I'm actually doing a Star Butterfly cosplay for a con coming up and I'm using this method!
Raven Skymaven ooh what about pencils??
Purple Person OH PLZ MAKE A VIDEO!!!
I personaly like this more than rerooting doll hair! Its so much easier and FLUFFIERRR
can you use regular yarn
Yes you can
No, you can't. It has to be at least 80% acrylic. Wool is not only more expensive, but when brushed out like this it will eventually felt, and heat destroys it. I make yarn tails for sale, you can not use wool for these kinds of fiber products.
Hideyoshi the majority of wools and yarns are acrylic anyway. Just read the label and it should tell you.
Wool is never acrylic. It's wool. That's why it's labeled as wool. You can't buy acrylic wool.
werewolfgal1 but you can get acrylic yarn... it's just so happens a lot if people us the terms wool and yarn interchangeably
Your tutorials are fabulous. Thank you for you generosity in sharing how to do all of this. I'm trying it myself as I type, and I've found that if you don't have any hair straighteners, pressing with an iron on a synthetic setting also gives you lovely glossy tresses. :)
I can’t wait to buy a Barbie !!!
It’s dania? Omg!
I love your art it’s impossible you commented this 5 years ago lolzers!
Well done
This is so helpful! Im so happy i found this video cuz im customising a doll for a history project and I know filling in the plugs takes so long
Ok, Im probably the only one but Im not using this for dolls😂 Im gonna try to make a full wig (specifically a Junko enoshima wig) wish me luck😂💕
yo how'd it go
That’s why I came to this video cause I’m gonna make myself a wig
@@alycyawolford8380 thats exacly what i was doing
Holy moly! This was actually so informative! I actually even like the yarn before its straightened! That would make a cool fluffy wig! Thanks now I have to try this!
do you 100% need to straighten it? [my mum gets upset when i use heated tools. ]
So would an alternative to the straightening iron be the hot water method that is used for straightening Barbie hair?
I think that would work if it is acrylic yarn but Ive never tried it, so not sure on how that would turn out for something that wasnt previously straightened.
Marie Stewart It works! I lost my straightener lol. So I used hot water and it worked FABULOUS :3
This is helpful! But I have a question, to hold the yarn in place, can I also use a stick or would it be easier to use the screen wire stuff?
Btw....this does work with a regular iron (the kind for ironing clothes) if you set it to the lowest setting and are very careful. My iron has the settings labeled with examples of which kind of fabric each setting is used for, and setting 1 says "acetate, acrylic".
Rosie johnson sorry if this is very late but yes you can you just have to put it on your lowest most normal setting and only go through it 2-3 times in the hair
Thank you so much for these videos for yarn doll wigs! I'm looking to make doll customs for a senior/capstone project, and this is something even a broke college student like me can do!
"..this easily unravels the yarn."
OSHITE OSHITE
(Tokyo Ghoul reference..)
This is so helpful. I had learned about making doll hair with yarn and I’ve seen a couple people do it and I’m trying to do it for BJD doll I’m making and it did not turn out well so I’m gonna try this technique.
when I did this it smelt like McDonald's fries lol
GREEZAYYYY---
Did you get it from McDonald's 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😏😏😏
SAME WHAT THE HECK
This really worked well for me! It took FOREVER though, since I don't have a dog brush and I had to use my fingers to create heat to fray out the yarn. Still worked though! I also didn't use the mesh but I TIED the ends of three strands together. Thank you for this helpful video! :)
Please make sure you get thick acrylic yarn. Thin yarns are a major pain and loss. Only 100% acrylic works, not cotton, wool, or such blends.
In my native language yarn and wool are spelled the same and I was very confused and had to search for clarification hahaha
I had to improvise the shit outta this i used normal yarn a pencil
HopeDaWolf mood
I use shitty yarn, 1 strand at a time, slip knot on a pencil
And it worked?
I did the same
I think you can also use a hot iron if you don't have a straightener. I've used it on many synthetic wigs and it worked out. Usually you'll go for the lowest temp setting, or if your hot iron is marked with fabric types use the setting for synthetic fibers.
Merci. J'adore vos vidéos. C'est clair, sans blabla inutiles et le résultat est magnifique.
I finally got the materials for this, they straightened and brushed out great!! I can't wait to see how they turn out, this is a super easy method.
OMG YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO IM TOTALLY GONNA SUBSCRIBE I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND KEEP MAKING THESE AWESOME VIDEOS
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing it. Also, the fluffy stuff remaining in the brush can be reused in neddle felting I think.
REALLY
No it could damage the needle apparently
wow! this video was so helpfull!!
I used this method for a recent cosplay! I made a medallion that needed a little fur tassle and your tutorial was a great find and help! Thank you!
Thank you very much. I truly enjoy the entire wig making process. I’m going to try this technique with natural fibers as well to make wigs for my dolls. ❤️❤️❤️
This is amazing
It will be so easy to get what ever colour you want
This video is very very cool!!! I think I could now make some myself, but to use in card decoration, vs just wigs for dolls, only because it's so fluffy, silky, & just so beautiful!!!! Thank you, for making this vid!!!
I like to use Caron Simply Soft because it can make really long wefts. I also sew the wefts and wig cap. It takes a lot of time, but makes a really flexible wig.
another way to make ur yarn hair doll straight is to brush 3-4 times after it was fully brush then iron it make sure u repeat that until its silky smooth
What an easy tutorial!
Thanks for this wonderful tutorial. When I iron the hair the zigzag curlz come back in the hair. I have no idea wat kind of yarn I have, I just used what I had in the house to try. I set the Iron at 180 degres, like said in your video.
I have everything to make this! xD I have been rewatching this video for so long! It's the only one that works for me ❤
Ah! Thank you soooooo much! For my first custom, I was wondering how in the world I was going to make the hair, because I have no re-rooting tool. This was VERY helpful!!
Hey everyone! For those who are wondering what to use in place of the mesh, like I was, I just used a wire hanger and it worked great!
I tried this and it worked splendidly!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!
This is amazingly helpful. I'm going to start this new hobby of doll repainting!
This was very helpful! I'm planning on customising one of my many MH Dolls and rerooting the hair seemed like too much, this method looks way easier!!
this is so cool and well explained! thank you for making all these tutorials on wigs. Quick question: if I don't have a hair straightener can I use a regular clothing iron as a substitute?
Has anyone noticed how much of a GOD Mozekyto would be in the cosplay world?
I found using 80% acrylic, 20% wool works pretty well. Also using a super bulky yarn works well. You'll still pull a lot out but you're left with a lot more and easier to use your straight iron on without melting it. If you use the 100% acrylic yarn it will come out looking silkier but it's typically hard to brush out.
Thank you for doing these videos, I'm about to start my first custom and this really helped me make the decisions I needed to for the hair!
Love your video! Very informative and no annoying chit chat with the audience!
YOU ARE A GENIUS!!! I wanted to make some doll wigs and thought how i have to buy some synthetic hair... but now i don't have to, since i have a lot of yarn :3 ty so much you have new sub!
They look so soft
Wow this looks great and super easy! I hope you do face repaints as the faces on your dolls are absolutely stunning
this seems like such an easy and great alternative to alpaca, thank you so so much!!
this works really well! I'm making my first wig right now. but I was wondering if was normal for the yarn itself to become shorter in this process, or if I'm brushing to hard?
