I enjoyed your reaction. Now you have combine both groups with Home Free - “ Ring of Fire” (featuring Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix)...oh, and you’ll get some bass!
Home Free just premiered their cover of 'I Swear' *yesterday.* Rather good timing considering you love Boyz II Men. The man with the awesome beard is Rob and, he actually doesn't take lead very often but he does in both of these songs. He also sings lead in their cover of 'Blue Aint Your Color' and their original song 'Why Not'. I recommend all of the above.
The beatboxer is actually one of the founders of the group. He doesn't get much screen time in a lot of their stuff and from what I hear that is actually his preference. He never sings lead, only beatboxing and background and I've heard it takes a lot of convincing to get him to sing because he's oddly shy about regular singing (or so I heard). Trust me, if he wanted the spotlight he'd get it. The group basically takes turns being the lead singer. On their concerts the beatboxer does a 'drum solo' which...well its even better than you would assume.

@@DyvmSlorm Yeah...that one wasn't because of his bass voice; he was "cheating." It's a special technique that some basses develop that allows them to go clear down past the sonic range to where their sound is perceived as just a series of clicks instead of a tone. Geoff Castellucci does the same thing. The technique is based on something that just about anybody can do, plus an insane amount of practice and development. Home Free is really an excellent a cappella group. Yes they do a lot of country music, but they also will surprise you with all different kinds of music and do it all well. One of my favorite songs....is country and fun... Hillbilly Bone...another... What We Ain't Got...and one more is... In The Blood. If you would like try out some of these or the ones below. Thank you for a great reaction. (liked and subscribed)
IMO, nothing will ever replace the original magic from hearing Boyz 11 Men sing this masterpiece, & I am so happy that Home Free, was able to keep the original integrity of the song, yet still inject a little of their own magic, allowing us, to fall in love with it, all over again 💕 *I don't believe any other group, other than Home Free, could have pulled this off, & the fact that they are a Capella, definitely puts them on a completely different level of skill & talent* 💕
I loved the Boyz to Men original = they are great singers. The fact is the vocal strengths, individual talent, range and blend in this ensemble called Home Free is better and the production and video creativity adds yet more quality to their work. Home Free is phenomenal !
What Gene below says, "When a Man love a Woman" ...this was a very good rendition of this song. You are right, it is a hard song to sing and they did it justice.
All of the guys are really talented. Adam, the beatboxer, does get more face time in other videos. He just usually prefers the background but comes out of his shell more often now.
Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman was a judge on the season of NBC's "The Sing Off" won by Home Free. He was definitely impressed by the group. BTW, Home Free and Pentatonix are good friends. Avi Kaplan even collaborated with Home Free on "Ring of Fire".
Yo Philly.. Willow Grove/Horsham here.. Glad you enjoyed that one.. Many many Home Free songs.. Watch Ring of Fire with Avi Kaplan .. Tim the Home Free bass sings the last earth moving note. btw.. or Elvira or Country Fried Medley for more easily seen beatboxing... Adam Rupp is the beatboxer.. he sings, too! Depending on your tastes.. Butts Remix (lots of fun) How Great Thou Art.. the beatboxer sings the "all is well" verse. .. Country Roads, or the Very motowny. cover or Keith Urbans. Blue Aint your Color or John Mayer's Castle on the Hill or In the Blood.. but seriously.. headphones guys.. Thanks!
Really nice !! Boyz II Men, Az Yet, Brian McKnight etc... so many childhood memories !!! This was pretty dope !! The bass surprised me too lol !! Great vid guys !! 👌🙏
Just an FYI on the Beatboxer of Home Free, Adam "The Freak of Nature" Rupp ... he was twice voted best All-Around Beatboxer by his peers at the World Beatboxing Competition.
The only song I know that Adam the beatboxer takes Center Front is Do You Hear What I Hear I know it is a Christmas song but it is well worth it and yes you need headphones for that one
You experienced excellence with PTX and Home Free. Your next A Capella venture should be with Voctave - totally different, an 11 person group that takes harmony to an entirely different dimension. They just did a cover of "You Will be Found" featuring their virtual choir - 1000 of their Patrons who stepped up to the plate to participate. Trust me - you won't regret it.
Start at the beginning with Home Free!!!!!!!!!! Watch their performances on the TV show, "Sing Off"!! It's where they got their big break! HF has been around for 20+ yrs!
If you want to double the bass, watch 'Ring of Fire' w/ guest Avi from Pentatonix. 'Man of Constant Sorrow' really showcases the beat boxer. His 'harmonica' is unbelievable.
Home Free "When A Man Loves A Woman", "Meet In the Middle", How Great Thou Art", "Woman/Female/Amen", "SOLD", "Folsom Prison Blues" and "I Swear". Tim Foust is the bass & has a 5 octave vocal range, check out "Misty Mountain" w/Tim Foust & Peter Hollens and you will get a load of Tim's bass.
Please please please jump down the Home Free rabbit hole. There's room for you. Maybe you've watched Pentatonix when Avi Kaplan was their bass before Matt (and he was white LOL)? Another one is VoicePlay's Geoff Castalucci ("Oogie Boogie's Song" is a wonderful cover that showcases him). They all have incredible ranges. Their stuff is insane.
I'm not sure what Home Free's video count is up to, well over 80 songs. All of them are worth a listen, many of them are great, like this one. Their best quarantine video, in my opinion and risking lots of flames, is their cover of "Folsom Prison Blues". It features the lower voices and Adam Rupp, the beatboxer and co-founder of the group, gets plenty of screen time. I love that they take on songs that hit the top of the charts and make them fresh. Plus they have some really fine original music.
I agree about the lack of Adam Rupp camera time. Usually he gets much more camera time. Everyone is going to say go to Ring of Fire. It is hreat, don't get me wrong... but they have better! I'd check out Folsom Prison Blues or if you know "The Big Lebowski, check out their cover if "This is How We Roll." They are a country vocal bamd, but they incorporate many genres into their sound. Subbing for more Home Free and other great reactions!
Adam, the vocal percussionist, was shown a few times by himself in silhouette. If you want more bass, I suggest their cover of "Ring Of Fire" featuring Pentatonix very own Avi Kaplin. Two great basses for the same money. ... Guy
If you want to hear more "bass white dudes" you should most definitely check more Home Free vids, as well as Geoff Castellucci from Voice Play and Tomi P's vids, I'm sure you'll love them as much as most of us do!!
Man of Constant Sorrow and, especially if you know it, American Pie (ft. Don Mclean in the 50th anniversary version of his classic). Reallyenjoy your reacts and your taste in music.
As mentioned below, Voiceplay will also knock your a cappella socks off. Carry on Wayward Son or Superstition are good first tastes of that group. You'll fall down rabbit holes for both groups + PTX.
I've heard Pentatonix, VoicePlay, and Home Free referred to as the Trifecta of a cappella. They all seem to be really good friends. There are several times were one member of a group will appear in another's video (Avi Kaplan from PTX singing with HF in Ring of Fire, for instance, then doing a quick walk thru with a "Hi, there" wave to the camera in Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget). I've heard of several instances where one guy will help on the arrangement or choreography for another group's video. Another great example of this is VoicePlay's Just Sing, which should be watched with the closed captions on BTW or you'll miss a lot of information on who's who. Geoff and Tim side by side is a hoot!
Home Free won the show the Sing Off in 2013 (the year after Pentatonix won) and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was the judge and he loved Home Free. I’m sure HF wanted to do right by him. I think they nailed it. Yeah Adam, the beatboxer, doesn’t like to be featured too much but he’s so good. There’s a solo of him on RUclips called Adam Rupp Drum solo. Home Free has great harmonies. Try Helplessly Hoping, Seven Bridges Road, Country Roads to listen to their great harmonies. Try headphones too, they really help. Enjoyed your reaction.
They can sing anything. Challenge you to find a bad Home Free song. Great reaction. Beatboxer is a world champ. He has his own videos of his live beatboxing. The also change roles in other songs.
You can catch up on camera time for the beat boxer by looking up "Adam Rupp--Drum Solo". A remarkable performance from a guy who clearly swallowed all kinds of percussion instruments, and probably a bunch of silverware and the kitchen sink

Everybody's recommending the serious ones. Nothing wrong with that but don't forget the ones that will bring tears of laughter to your eyes.
Others have already commented....but HEADPHONES ARE A MUST to harvest the complete Home Free experience.
Absolutely 🎧
I think you would appreciate Home Free's "Butts Remix", It shows off their lighter side and the beatboxer (Adam Rupp) gets shown off a bit.
Welcome to the world of Home Free. These guys are awesome!
What Gene below says, "When a Man love a Woman" ...this was a very good rendition of this song. You are right, it is a hard song to sing and they did it justice.
Home Free is awesome! They are so versatile! Glad you fell down the rabbit hole! LOL Your are in for many treats.
That bass was crazy!
Just an FYI on the Beatboxer of Home Free, Adam "The Freak of Nature"
Rupp ... he was twice voted best All-Around Beatboxer by his peers at
the World Beatboxing Competition.
Where do we find this info about this competition you are talking about? Tried to google, but no help.
The only song I know that Adam the beatboxer takes Center Front is Do You Hear What I Hear I know it is a Christmas song but it is well worth it and yes you need headphones for that one
You guys have a 'vibe' that made me subscribe. Hey, I'm rhyming here! lol
Thank you for your support!
Welcome to the world of Homefree! They are amazing!
Homefree man of constant sorrow will give the beat boxer screen time.
You need to hear them sing ring of fire. The bass is ridiculously low.
You'll see plenty of Adam's beat boxing as you dive into the Home Free rabbit hole.
Man of Constant Sorrow, he really hits the bass big time
The bassman is Tim Faust for more check out "Man of Constant Sorrow" by Home Free and The Misty Mountains by peter Hollins and Tim Faust.
ROB JUST GOES OFF IN THIS SONG ...... such great vocal control !
The beatboxer Adam Rupp is a living drum set no lie, checkout Man of Constant Sorrow.
I agree about the lack of Adam Rupp camera time. Usually he gets much more camera time. Everyone is going to say go to Ring of Fire. It is hreat, don't get me wrong... but they have better! I'd check out Folsom Prison Blues or if you know "The Big Lebowski, check out their cover if "This is How We Roll."
They are a country vocal bamd, but they incorporate many genres into their sound.
Subbing for more Home Free and other great reactions!
You won't be disappointed with anything they do.
Just listen to more Home Free. You'll be a home fry in no time!
More Home Free please.
Check out their cover of Some Girls Do...you will get to see the beat boxer!
Enjoyed your reaction.
reacting to acapella without headphones...smh.the very fact you were shocked by the bass singing tells you how much you missed with their vocal music.
Mayday, amazing grace.
I just subscribed!!
Welcome to HOME FREE
HOME FREE is a county A Capella band that does more than country. Tim Foust, the bass, Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, Adam Chance (Chance) is the baritone/bass, since 2016, he took over for Chris Rupp (one of the founders of the group), Rob Lundquist, tenor and Austin Browm high tenor make up the voices of angels. The beat boxer is Adam Rupp one of the founders of the group. Check out his drum solo video or keep watching Home Free videos he gets plenty of air time. The bass is Tim Foust and you haven't seen anything yet.
Welcome to Home Free now jump into the rabbit whole of wonderful covers. They all have talent Tim Foust the bass can sing in 5 octaves and Adam Chance is another bass.
Check out Home Free's "Man of Constant Sorrow", "Folsom Prison Blues", and "Go Rest High On That Mountain". You will not regret any of those! ......... edit: AND THEN, have a listen to their cover of "Mayday" by Cam. That last song really brings the versatility of 3 of their members's vocal talents to bear.
They just covered "I Swear" by All 4 One. Gotta check out that one.
Home Free is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!
Try Man of Constant Sorrow it's awesome. Home Free does John Mayer's In the Blood. If you want accapell they are the group!!!
Ya want some bass, search “Tim Foust’s vibration.” A live version of their song Honey I’m Good and you can see and feel the camera shake
You haven't even heard the bass that Tim the bass can sing. Try Ring of Fire. Great reaction you two.
You guys really need to check out Ring of Fire by Home Free. It features Avi, formerly from Pentatonix and there is a great back and forth between him and the bass singer of Home Free.
Welcome to the Home Free Rabbit hole!! New sub!! Please get headphones and check out more of their stuff.
Annnnddd you've now met their deep base, Tim Foust. I'd love to see more reactions to them.

“AMERICAN PIE” ft. Don McLean...the writer/singer ....it’s the 50th anniversary of the song! And, Don still Has It!!!
And, it’s the original version..8 1/2 minutes long!!! Flippin AWESOME !!!!
I always loved your reaction. Can i suggest an other acapella group "voice play" cover Tennessee whisky to start. Thank in advance. New subscriber from Martinique
Everybody's recommending the serious ones. Nothing wrong with that but don't forget the ones that will bring tears of laughter to your eyes. The Butts Remix/Medley, Country Fried Pop Medley, All About That Bass (+ the Behind the Scenes Blooper Real). And then there's the one with two slightly different versions and it's good to check out both. Search "Home Free Vocal Band: Guilty Pleasures" first, then the one that usually comes up with you search just the song title; "Home Free's Guilty Pleasures HILARIOUSLY Derailed."
Welcome to the rabbit hole of HOME FREE! Ring of fire is killer
new sub here, from a Home Fry :)
