The lead on this song, Austin Brown (high tenor) is originally from Georgia now lives in Tennessee. Tim Foust-the bass is originally from Texas also now lives in Tennessee. The last southern boy is Adam Chance (the baritone) originally from Alabama now lives in LA. The last 2 Rob Lundquist (tenor) and Adam Rupp the beatboxer are from Minnesota.
Yes, they won The Singoff by a landslide & yes, it was Percy Sledge who did the original recording of this song!!! Austin who is from Tifton, GA, & southern to his core, twitterpated many a woman with the way he caressed the camera while performing this song. The love of his life was behind the camera & he was singing to her. At the same time, he made ALL the females on this side of the camera feel like he was speaking directly to our souls & we fell in love with him among other emotions!!! I jumped into the Home Free rabbit hole almost 2 years ago & I have NO intention of exiting any time soon!!! They are a special breed of performers who should still be around for years to come. Now to the individual performers... Rob Lundquist is from Minnesota. He looks like a papa bear & has a beautiful tenor voice. He sang lead on "End of the Road". Austin Brown is from Georgia. He is the one singing the lead on this song. He is referred to as their high tenor Tim Foust is from Texas. He has a gorgeous bass voice & commands the stage on many of their songs. He shook the floor on The Singoff with his bass in "Ring of Fire". Adam Rupp is from Monnesota. He & his brother Chris are the founding members of Home Free. He is the beat boxer & I don't think that there's a sound that he can't create when needed. Adam Chance is from Alabama. He is the golden baritone who occasionally backs up Tim with his bass. Since there are 2 Adams, the group calls him Chance. He created the sound of the didgeridoo on "Man of Constant Sorrow". Chance replaced Chris Rupp when he departed the group So, 3/5 of the members are Southern to their core & they often give that Southern twang which creates the ambiance of the group.
Nina, this is a rabbit hole you won’t want to come out of. They have a huge library of music, all styles and all great. Keep the Home Free reactions coming and the Home Fry’s will come.
I did Nina! I'm a Home Fry! I got to go to their concert in KC, MO 12/10/21 and my hubby and I loved it. Did I mention I am 67 and my hubby is 66. We purchased tickets on our 49th anniversary 10/13/21. They are all younger than both of our kids.
"Do You Hear What I Hear" by Home Free is INCREDIBLE! Austin's dad was a gospel singer and Austin toured with him. He also is classically trained, I believe. I'm sure all the Home Fries are giving you all the info, so I'm going to watch your journey and enjoy! 😄❤👍
Adam Rupp, the beat over, does sing occasionally. “How Great Thou Art” and “Quarantined” has short solos from him. He is not as comfortable with vocals.
Welcome to the Home Free Rabbit Hole. I fell in some time ago and haven't been able to climb out. They are just such a talented group of guys. I am a sub to see this journey. Loved your reaction.
Thank you for your reaction. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
GREAT REACTION ! Austin Brown is the lead, and he is originally from Tifton, Georgia and he is the high tenore, regular tenor is Rob Lundquist of Minneapolis, Mn, the low bass is Tim Foust from Nederland, Tx but lives in Nashville, Tn with his wife Jenika, then there is Adam Chance who is from Alabama but lives in Los Angeles with his lady Sami, the beatboxer is Adam Rupp and he lives in Mankato, Minnesota
@@ninaodayreacts3679 then you should really enjoy Tim's stories...look on youtube for "Home Free Storytime with Tim and react to them...no copyright issues as these are videos from their concerts...his stories are hilarious. He also did a 4 part series called "Texas Eats" on the Home Free channel....check out those too...they are very entertaining
Home Free is the real deal. They were on the NBC show the Sing Off and won (2013). Three of the boys are from the south and the other two are from Minnesota. They are country but sing all genres. They can all take the lead depending on the song. Austin was the lead here and is the high tenor for the group. Tim is the bass. He has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low but also sing tenor. Rob (glasses) is a tenor and is soulful. (He sang lead in the Boyz II Men song you mentioned). Chance is the newest member (joined in 2016). He is the baritone/bass. Adam is the incredible beatboxer. They are known for their amazing harmonies. Try Mary Did You Know, Helplessly Hoping, Brothers in Arms, O Holy Night. They really are an amazing group. They can be serious or silly. Great reaction Nina. This was during Covid hence all the tvs.
Welcome to the world of Home Free! Home Fries we are called and you are welcome to join us. Austin sings lead here and the bass is Tim Foust. All of these guys are amazing singers and there really isn’t a bad song that they’ve done.
You were correct about "Austin Brown" flirting with the camera, because his girl friend was there during filming. Home Free kills all of their songs, so if you dive into this rabbit hole, they will make you laugh, cry, giggle, and be reflective. So, whatever mood you are in they probably have a song for you. Enjoy the ride and us "Home Fries" will be here.
The lead singer here is AUSTIN BROWN. (From Georgia ) He has his own channel, with originals, & covers from Otis Redding, Al Greene, Etta James, Eric Clapton, & many many more He also has a special message for reactors just like yourself, and has done interviews with them I hope you check it out. 🙏🤞 thank you for taking the time for HF
Home Free won season 4. This video was done during quarantine so that's why they are all not in the same room together singing. Austin (Mr. Swagger) is from South Georgia so he is very much a country boy.
This is one of their quarantine videos, usually filmed by themselves in and around their 5 separate homes in 3 different states, then sent to the "sixth member" producer Darren Rust and put together for us Home Fries consumption. This one was done with Austin in the studio, remote from his bandmates. Those flirty looks were directed at his lady love Amberly who was standing by the camera. (They have their own youtube channel called 'The Beauty and the Bass' showing their lives at home outside the music.) Some of their other quarantine videos -- often showing their funny, goofy side -- are Quarantine, Sunday Best, Down to the Honkytonk, and Everybody Walkin' This Land. Plus I Still Haven't Found What I'm Lookin' For by Peter Hollens feat. Home Free. I'm stopping there, saving the funnier ones for a later post. Enjoy!. Oh yeah. And I forgot about I Swear. That one is really sweet.
Nina, thanks for your genuine reaction. Austin (actually all of them) is so very talented. The church sound that he made is usually called a growl. I look forward to many more of your reactions!
Home Free has been such a great gift to all of us--especially their extra efforts in providing us with excellent music/videos throughout quarantine and the difficult days of isolation everybody faced during the pandemic. Their creativity in producing the "quarantine" videos--and their commitment to continuing to provide new entertainment throughout--has brought along many HF converts. Got to ❤️❤️❤️ Home Free!!
That Georgia was raised in church. His father was in a gospel group. His girlfriend was by the camera when he sang this song. These men can (sang). Southern Country. Lol. I love HOME FREE.
They Did win, the year after Pentatonics. Every song they do is better than anyone has ever done it! So since you’ve heard them before, you know they all are superb soloists! This is Austin Brown singing lead. You probably know too, that Tim Faust, the one with the long dark hair(wait...he just cut it off...bummer😢) his voice will melt you like butter, too.♥️
Check out Tim Foust's Doo-Wop album. The first release is Pieces Of Me Vol 1. He's the bass singer. He does all the parts on the song and I think the whole album. It's all A Cappella too. I just bought it today. I bought the CD. You can buy the download. I am old school and I like having the hard copy. I just watched your Oh Holly Night reaction by them which is what brought me here. I can't wait for more Home Free reactions from you!
NEW SUB. THE REASON AUSTIN LOOKS LIKE HE IS FLIRTING IS BECAUSE HIS GIRLFRIEND IS IN THE STUDIO. CHECK OUT HIS ORIGINAL SOLOS HE AND ALL THE OTHER GUYS HAVE A YOU TUBE CHANNEL INCLUDING A HOME FREE CHANNEL. AND ONE BY CHRIS RUPP THE BEATBOXERS BROTHER THAT LEFT THE GROUP THREE YEARS AFTER THEIR WIN TO GO SOLO. THE SING-OFF PERFORMANCES ARE ON YOU TUBE. WHEN YOU DISCOVER PETER HOLLINS IN SOME OF THEIR VIDEOS, HE WAS ON SEASON ONE OF SING-OFF A 15 MEMBER GROUP FROM U. OF OREGON THAT HE FOUNDED. HOME FREE HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE 2000 AS A TOURING SHOW GROUP
Lead singer on this song is Austin Brown from Tifton Ga. , beat boxer is Adam Rupp (Founder of Home Free) from Mankato, Mn. bass is Tim Foust from Lubbock, Tx .
Home Free will have you addicted to them just like everyone else who loves them. You mentioned how Austin and the rest of the group were "taking you to church." If you want to feel like you're in church, you should react to How Great Thou Art. They killed it. Also, their cover of Maren Morris' My Church is amazing as well.
Percy Sledge, yes!!!!!! Great reaction! Austin Brown is a bit of a dreamboat- the lead here. My crush is the bass- Tim Foust. Austin is def a Southern gospel country boy- I forget which state. Tim is from Texas.
Home Fry reporting for duty! I'm a viewer, and....now...I'm a subscriber! This is a DEEP rabbit hole, and you'll enjoy every minute of it. There's only one mistake you can make with Home Free -- listening to their cover of "Mayday" (by Cam) too soon. You don't get maximum enjoyment from this great performance until you know all the guys and their voices. For most reactors, that's at least 6 reactions to other HF performances. You know Austin Brown (high tenor) from this video. Rob Lundquist is the other tenor. One of Rob's best performances was "End of the Road"...which you said you may (or may not?) have heard already. Even if you heard it "by accident", go back and listen again. Another excellent performance by Rob is HF's (humorous) cover of "Never Gonna Give You Up" (by Rick Astley). Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, rarely sings, so that leaves the lower voices. Adam Chance (they call him "Chance" to avoid confusion) and Tim Foust both have impressive range. Chance typically sings in the baritone range, and Tim's a true basso profondo. He breaks things with his voice. In order to get a good sample of Chance's voice, try "Some Girls Do", "Cover Me Up", "The Gambler", or "American Pie." Welcome to the Home Fries!
@@ninaodayreacts3679 Oh...I should have mentioned that HF has done a number of excellent Christmas songs through the years. Most are covers, but last Christmas they released their original song "Snow Globe" (written by Tim Foust) -- ruclips.net/video/a9i7qMw8vYc/видео.html Since you said you're married to a country boy, you'll probably enjoy HF's "Christmas in Dixie" collaboration with Alabama ( ruclips.net/video/Kdl-i-6Q0Hw/видео.html ) and their cover of Amy Grant's "Tennessee Christmas" (ft. Rachel Wammack, ruclips.net/video/ath8jKJ96kc/видео.html )
New to your page. Really enjoying it. I’m sure someone answered, but the Home Fry in me has too! Home Free started in Minneapolis, MN by Adam Rupp and his brother Chris. They brought in Rob, also from MN. They added in Austin who is from Georgia and Tim, I think from TN. Chance came in a few years ago when Chris Rupp left to work on his own projects. If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it!! So worth it! Blessings to you and your family!
As special as Home Free is,.... so is your reaction! I, truly did enjoy experiencing your take on this version. I won't even try to recommend another of their songs, but, am absolutely certain you will find a way to let them stay in your heart. God Bless you and your family during this special season.
First time watching and subscribed before even we even hit the halfway mark. I enjoyed your reaction and this song always raises the room temperature at my house too 😂 Don't know if is Austin's lead or Tim's bass but our fellas can sang!
@@ninaodayreacts3679 Oh just wait until you hear Austin sing in his lower register on their cover of I Swear! I had never heard that side of him and on my goodness was it super sexy! My husband knows that Austin and Tim are my singer crushes, but watch out for teddy bear Rob with a voice that caresses you with his tantalizing runs. (Adam) Chance has a gorgeous baritone/bass and Adam Rupp is a jaw dropping vocal beatboxer extraordinaire. Sorta love these guys if you can't tell 😉
Loved this reaction! Officially subscribed can’t wait for more Home Free. There are too many songs for me to only recommend one. If I had to it would be Hillbilly Bone…both the live version and the music video are both great.
They are country but can do anything. Austin Brown is the lead in this song. Tim Foust is the bass. Rob Lundquist is tenor, Adam Chance is baritone but can do bass, Adam Rupp is s beatboxer/percussionist.
Austin Brown sand the lead here, Rob is the bearded wonder, Adam Chance is the baritone, Adam Rupp is the beat boxer and last but certainly not least is Tim Foust the Bass singer extraordinaire. Just saw them in concert a little over a month ago and they are so good in concert.
Hi Tenor is Austin Brown from Tifton Ga, Tim Foust is Bass from down near Houston TX, Adam Chance, aka Chance, share Bass some with TIM, and Rob Lindquist and Adam Rupp ( original member) are both from Minnesota. And they all have musical instruments they can handle too, usually more than 2. Hope it helps.
singing is Austin Brown High Tenor, he is singing to his girl who is in there with him, Big guy Rob with beared is tenor and has an angelic voice. Tim is bass and can sing tenor, Chance can do bass and is a baritone. Adam is beat boxer and he has a sweet tenor voice. Adam and Rob are from the north and Tim from Texas, Austin from Georgia and Chance from Alabama, They are all awesome.
Girl, soon as you said you were hot I almost died!! Your facial was priceless! Austin Brown main singer on this one will makes us women (most) a little warm inside! I just found your channel and I am from South like Austin, different states, and loving that twang he got! New sub from Va watching!
Austin sings the lead, (Georgia Boy) The Bass is Tim (Texas) the Beat Boxer is Adam Rupp - (Minnesota) & so is Rob Lundquist, lastly - Newest member Adam Chance ( Florida) .... BEST DAGGONE VOCAL GROUP !!! GBjj
I just subscribed!! Welcome to HOME FREE HOME FREE is a county A Capella band (NO INSTRUMENTS) that does more than just country. Tim Foust, the bass (5 octave range) , Adam Rupp, the beatboxer (freak of nature), Adam Chance (Chance) is the baritone/bass, since 2016, he took over for Chris Rupp (one of the founders of the group), Rob Lundquist, tenor and Austin Browm high tenor make up the voices of angels. PLEASE listen to more.. If I know my Home Free family well (Home Fries) , they have already given you suggestions of music. LOL Thanks for the reaction
Two of their covers that don’t get a lot of reactions to are The O’Jays “Love Train” and Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”. Both are great and worth watching.
Great reaction! I love it when people discover Home Free. Check out Dreamer, One Man Band, I Swear, and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
I sure hope that you react to more Home Free soon. Since it's the Holiday season I'd like to suggest you react to Do You Hear What I Hear, it is very vocally and visually stunning. Percy Sledge was the first singer to make this song a hit.
Bass Tim Foust, Counter tenor ( singing) Austin Brown, Tenor (beard) Rob Lindquist, Baritone/bass Adam Chance goes by Chance, Beat boxer/ tenor Adam Rupp
An additional rabbit hole to try is Voiceplay, who competed against Home Free in the Sing Off. Try Carry on wayward son, Dragonborn Comes-Skyrim, Butter, Superstition, or ANYthing on their playlist.
Have you ever been on a wild slide ride at an amusement park? The exhilaration you felt then is Home Free. It’s a wonderful, wild ride with ups and downs and sharp turns all leading up to the end when you say phew! Then you want to do it all over again! Welcome to the best rabbit hole you will ever go down.
New sub for more Home Free!! Want bass? react to their latest song. Brother in Arms. Many many more to choose from. Many have listed some. ty for your reaction.
Your commentary--wow! you can certainly turn a phrase. BTW, if you really want to be "taken to church" by this crew, check out "My Church" (Maren Morris cover) which, though ironically it's really about ditching real church for a country cruise in a sixties roadster, is nonethless seriously gospel-licious.
Tim Foust is the bass singer but, don't let it fool you. His vocal range is out of this world. Going to suggest you learn their names and what parts they usually sing. The reason I say this and I'm sure many others have as well. Is because, when you finally react to Mayday. You'll appreciate and truly understand the surprise reaction you'll have
Sir Percy is the first time I heard it and I'm in my 70's. His girlfriend was there when be recorded this and he was singing to her.
Austin Brown's love, Amberly, was in the studio, so this was for her but we benefit!
The lead on this song, Austin Brown (high tenor) is originally from Georgia now lives in Tennessee. Tim Foust-the bass is originally from Texas also now lives in Tennessee. Base singer is Tim Foust, and, yes they are a country a-capella group!
Percy Sledge was indeed the originator of this classic.
Trust me, Austin heated up a lot of rooms with this one! And yes, they did win the Sing-Off!
I'm not surprised they won!
@Dianna Thompson ,, Well, actually, his soon to be Wife is behind that camera.,, so, ya, he does.

They brought in Rob, also from MN. They added in Austin who is from Georgia and Tim, I think from TN. Chance came in a few years ago when Chris Rupp left to work on his own projects.
If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it!! So worth it! Blessings to you and your family!
That was great,your reactions priceless..😊
Thank you! 🙏🏾
Yes, they won the Sing Off. The best videos from the show are posted on MrDuckBear’s channel.
Anything home free is good. Literally…. All of it…. Well over 100 songs :). Subscribed.
Thank you!
Home Free and VoicePlay were both on The Sing-Off. Love them both. Dive in and be amazed.
Loved the reaction! For Home Free, I immediately hit subscribe! 🤗💜
Thank you! 🙏🏾
As special as Home Free is,.... so is your reaction! I, truly did enjoy experiencing your take on this version. I won't even try to recommend another of their songs, but, am absolutely certain you will find a way to let them stay in your heart. God Bless you and your family during this special season.
Thank you!
First time watching and subscribed before even we even hit the halfway mark. I enjoyed your reaction and this song always raises the room temperature at my house too 😂 Don't know if is Austin's lead or Tim's bass but our fellas can sang!
Lol I think it's both! 😂
They are from all over the place! They do have a country sound. One is from Texas, one from Georgia, one from Florida and two are from Minnesota.
Loved your rea tion to this. I'm not a big celebrity gotta meet guy but I truly wwould love to meet these gentlemen. Absolutely fabulous
Since it is the Christmas season, check out "Do You Hear What I Hear," "O Holy Night," and for fun, "Full Of Cheer."
Yes for sure!
Percy Sledge you're correct.
I thought so! Thanks 😊
Your right Percy Sledge
Loved this reaction! Officially subscribed can’t wait for more Home Free. There are too many songs for me to only recommend one. If I had to it would be Hillbilly Bone…both the live version and the music video are both great.
Thank you!
They are country but can do anything. Austin Brown is the lead in this song. Tim Foust is the bass. Rob Lundquist is tenor, Adam Chance is baritone but can do bass, Adam Rupp is s beatboxer/percussionist.
This song is 🔥, thank you for your reaction..
If possible do check out Austin Brown's cover of Unchained Melody...
Austin grew up singing with his mom and dad’s gospel group all over the southeast.
"You'll be a daisy if you do" Props for the Tombstone reference.!!
You're the first person to catch that!
I really enjoyed your reaction, your gushing is very attractive.
Welcome to Home Free. Great reaction

Welcome to HOME FREE
HOME FREE is a county A Capella band (NO INSTRUMENTS) that does more than just country.
I definitely will! Home fries have come through😁
Two of their covers that don’t get a lot of reactions to are The O’Jays “Love Train” and Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”.
I first heard this in 1966....African--American singer Percy Sledge sang it...I bought the 45rpm record of it.
I sure hope that you react to more Home Free soon. Since it's the Holiday season I'd like to suggest you react to Do You Hear What I Hear, it is very vocally and visually stunning.
Percy Sledge was the first singer to make this song a hit.
Yes I plan to! I'll add this one to the list
Apparently his lady was in the room when he recorded this.
That's awesome!
Love your reaction keepit up
If you think he's taking you to church in this one, check out their "My Church" video.
All star, having a blast reaction Nina!! wow!! new subscriber here....
🙏🏾
Yes, Percy Sledge was the original singer. Fun video: watch their cover of "My Church".
Bass Tim Foust, Counter tenor ( singing) Austin Brown, Tenor (beard) Rob Lindquist, Baritone/bass Adam Chance goes by Chance, Beat boxer/ tenor Adam Rupp
I'm not really sure what an Amen rag is exactly, but pretty sure I need one too.
Nina when you get into Christmas Music you must listen to "O Holy Night" by Home Free! I enjoy your reactions!!!
I will thanks!
I just heard their new Christmas Song "Mary did you know" and it was great!
An additional rabbit hole to try is Voiceplay, who competed against Home Free in the Sing Off. Try Carry on wayward son, Dragonborn Comes-Skyrim, Butter, Superstition, or ANYthing on their playlist.
The guy singing is Austin brown and if you like him you should listen to unchained melody like you’ve never heard before!
Good reaction. Your Echo is the lag of padding on your walls. Your voice bounce of the walls.
Austin grew up traveling and singing in church with his Dad.
Austin`s girl was in the studio with him during recording .can`t you tell?
Have you ever been on a wild slide ride at an amusement park? The exhilaration you felt then is Home Free. It’s a wonderful, wild ride with ups and downs and sharp turns all leading up to the end when you say phew! Then you want to do it all over again! Welcome to the best rabbit hole you will ever go down.
New sub for more Home Free!! Want bass? react to their latest song. Brother in Arms. Many many more to choose from. Many have listed some. ty for your reaction.
My pleasure!
Baby, If you want them to take you to Church, react to How Great Thou Art
That's Austin Brown singing from Georgia base is Tim Foust from Texas
Original singer Percy Sledge,he made a living singing those type of songs
Yep Austin Brown definitely killed this song haha!
Austin's confidence is sexy. His hand gestures are so perfect.
Thank you! Added to the list
Oh my girl I wish we were friends, your really cool!!!
Tim Foust is the bass singer but, don't let it fool you. His vocal range is out of this world. Going to suggest you learn their names and what parts they usually sing. The reason I say this and I'm sure many others have as well. Is because, when you finally react to Mayday. You'll appreciate and truly understand the surprise reaction you'll have
That's the plan!
Yes it was Percy Sledge.
