Thank you very much for the fix. On my 1981 Scirocco, someone over tighten one of the two stud bolts at the rear of the A-Arm, and broke it off, looks just like your situation. I’ll try your fix.

The metric threads don't need a chart, just some basic math. M10 x 1.5 stands for 10mm nominal diameter, and 1.5mm/turn pitch. Subtract 10mm-1.5mm=8.5mm and you get the drill size
Same happen to my rear subframe after lowering to replace my strut assembly now i need to do that slowly and patiently 😂😂. I went to shop they dont remove broken bolts

Aren't you supposed to be doing this in low speed? It doesn't get the bit as hot and dahl it up, but maybe $15 bits are different.
