I think after Melly got rid of the two members, he asked Bortlen to do the side of the car, he knew police would find the residue, making it hard for Bortlen to get out of this, hence getting rid of him too, Melly wants everything for himself, all the fame and the money, I also think that the state won't be able to prove Melly guilty.

The state proved in the first trial that it would b impossible for bortlen to have fired the fatal shots because there was blood on the top right shoulder of his shirt and no blood splatter on the driver seat meaning his back was plush to the seat when the shots were fired from inside the car making it literally impossible to shoot juvy in the left side of his face and the back of sak head
And I believe that the GSR is from being in close proximity when the shots went off not to mention the trajectory of the bullets were proven to come from left to right and there is no blood on the back driver seat meaning someone was sitting there when the shots were fired the drive by was staged Melly phone was obviously at the scene the victims satchel was never recovered at the hospital the call to the gf mom saying he was in a drive by the call to fredo to pick him up this whole thing was sloppy if bortlen didn’t do it then who did? Melly was the only other person seen getting into the backseat the red car he claimed he got in was already at the gated complex when the murder occurred and phone records prove he wasn’t in that vicinity I think he’s guilty the state just need to chill with the theatrics focus on pure facts and they can win this case
