I personally carry the smaller one (Zero 2) with me for my android phone for emulation when traveling. It’s great for playing Mario or different games when on a plane with my phone on the table or traveling in general since it fits in my pocket
You've hit the nail on the head. It's not quite thin and portable enough for pocket travel and wouldn't be my first choice for home gameplay. They need to have a small controller with analogue sliders that is fully pocketable.
my 3yr old son and i appreciate this review! his little hands have trouble with xbox controllers and ive been looking for a better review of these controllers for him so he can enjoy some emulators
@@Dc-jz9rf so we actually went with the power A nano Xbox controller because he plays primarily on Xbox. it's almost the perfect size for him, being just a lil big in his hands but such a vast improvement. but the next controller were getting is the small 8bitdo with the two joysticks. can't remember the name but it's the one being compared against in this video. he plays cod mobile and also uses Xbox cloud streaming on his tablet so the 8bitdo will be perfect for that. even with an OTG cable his power A wont connect to his tablet, so that's where the 8bitdo will come in handy. hope this helps buddy 👍👍
Nice video! i travel alot & like playing with controller on the go, not the joy cons handheld. I play with joycons when im at home or other controller. Gonna pick up the Lite 2, looks small and portable. Thanks!
I just had wrist surgery. So when I saw 8bitdo zero in a game store I bought it. I now play retro emulators one handed using it. Plus its small enough to bring everywhere and I can tuck it in my armsling no problem.
12:50 next time you play mario kart, pay attention to how you use the analog sticks and you'll notice you always push them 100% to each direction, playing mario kart 8 with a dpad feels just fine, i've played a bunch on an 8bitdo m30 (best dpad in the world imo) nobody really uses analog input for mario kart
Great video as always. If I may add something to the suggestion box for your consideration? During your 'verdict' segment, would you mind offering some competitors/alternatives in the same ball park of the controller being reviewed? I know that wouldn't really apply to this video - I'm more thinking the full size gamepad reviews. Either way, thanks for the awesome content!
I have the Lite 1 that has 2 D-Pads and I enjoy it a lot because of how portable it is... The Lite 2 for me has a huge problem, and that is the fact that que analog stick in not lowered to the same level as the plastic body of the controller, and the bumper also make is not perfectly straight... That gets in the way of carring like, 4 controllers stacked in a small box (that what I do with the Lite 1)
@Gamer Heaven most notably LinusTechTips With the right angle you can completely mask it in your hand or have it in your pocket and interact through the fabric
What's the best overlocked performance you've seen in a controller so far? Do you think any of these new PS5 Pro style controllers will take that slot?
I don’t know what it is but I tear ass through platformers on the original SNES and NES controllers. Regardless of the baseball mitts I have for hands they lead me to success I am on the hunt for something similar to use on the Switch and PlayStation. This review was the most thorough controller review I’ve ever witnessed haha. If you could what would you recommend?
I have the Zero 2, and can't really recommend it. I thought it'd be cool for being small and portable to play games on my phone of tablet, but it just isn't that fun to use. What thumbstick covers would you, or anyone else, recommend for the Lite 2? I need some for my 8 bitdo Pro 2+ and they look like the same size.
@Gamer Heaven As a fellow controller aficionado, I'm curious to know what your charging situation is. With so many wireless controllers, first party and third, you must have a hell of a charging station setup. I'd like to know if there's any kind of dock or cradle that can host a multitude of different controllers. I'm personally a fan of those little magnetic adapters for USB C and micro that let you quickly click a controller to the cable, and was wondering your thoughts on making a custom charging dock for any controllers that don't have one.
Please do a review on the victrix pro bfg as soon as possible. Waiting On your review specifically. I want to see how it stacks up to the edge and razer Wolverine
Hello, quite unrelated to this video but, what would you choose between a Gamesir g7 and a PowerA Spectra Infinty Enhanced controller. I don't need you to do a comparison video or anything, but which would you just pick personally?
Can i connect this to my sisters Kindle Fire? i want to get her a controller for her to play roblox but she's young and a regular controller is too big other controllers i tried will connect but the inputs dont go through, the only one that has worked so far is an xbox controller
Kinda wanna get the little one just so I can fart around with roms when i'm in a situation that makes having any full size controller too bulky to carry
I feel like if you have the money to spend of 4 of the Zero 2 controllers, you probably should just spend it towards another full size controller, and force yourself to use the Joycons if need be.
What is this?! A controller for ants!!! How can we play games if the controller is too small to fit in a babies hand? I don’t want to hear 8-bitdos excuses… the controller needs to be at least 3 times bigger than this!
Damn that's a tiny control, great vid!!

I've had a zero 2 for about a year and love it for the exact same reason. Definitely quality buy for the price point.
Exactly why I was getting it. But the bigger one has two triggers.

@@mrhamburgler480 It helped a lot, my boss. Thank you from Brazil. Controller is 8bitdo lite 2.
Good video dude, have a great weekend everyone ✌️
Thanks , you too Mark!
Why not measure the Bluetooth latency on PC? Nobody would use these wired...
Wireless makes it even worse
7:06 Why aren't you measuring input lag through BT connection to PC?
Bluetooth is very crappy on them like have you ever tried using bluetooth on an x box controller or ps5 controller its bad like a lot

Dude this guy has more controls than my dad's local game store we opened
Molly whoppin’ some paddles!

As a Forza/Gran Turismo player, I definitely do not push joysticks all the way when racing. (Most of the time)

these thin controllers are great to take out with you
As long as it works for android, been looking for a compact controller with analog sticks that I can fit in my pocket
I use the zero 2 for traveling and am looking forward to upgrading to the lite 2........for traveling. Thanks 😅
These are the only two 8bitdo controllers I dont have, and I'm thinking of getting the zero 2 to carry with me in my pocket for android.
how light are the buttons to press? i need the lightest to press for hand problems someone can help?

People use those Zero as remotes for teleprompter
Really!? That’s awesome

Dude gimme a review of ALL of your controllers AND ALL your consoles
when is the video of all rpo controllers tier list coming out
Can you use Bluetooth for PC or do you have to plug it in?

SN30 Pro. Form factor of a SNES pad with all the modern inputs you need (except analog triggers, they are digital)

Could you please tell me if the Lite2 shoulder buttons are analogue triggers?
I wanted to glue on a zero 2 controller underneath another normal size controller for extra buttons with some games but it still is too large.
so we can't connect it to windows wirelessly?

This is unrelated to the video, where did you get that cool fog machine revolver pistol decoration? I HAVE TO HAVE IT AND I CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE
It’s a company called blasters4masters, but unfortunately that either went out of business or are not taking new orders on their website which sucks
What is that snowboarding game that he keeps playing?
I’d like to know too!! That game looks pretty cool!!!
+1

Does anyone know the name of that ice skating game?
it takes two

Is it working with anbernic linux handhelds?
Any idea of mini gamepad for competitive gaming ?
What skiing game were you playing at 3:30 in this video?
It Takes Two.

Why aren’t u doing a video on the victrix controller idk exactly how to spell it but still

What game were your playing in the beginning?
Does it connect with ios or ipad?
Waiting for victrix pro bfg review
Your right…. ITS THE HAUNCH’s fault😝
Did Ben from marketing send all that out to you?
What game is this at 3:30 ?
It Takes Two
Unfortunately it’s not strong for competitive play on pc :/
Still no BFG?
reWASD is godlike software
Can you overclock a controller on a phone or tablet?
atleast a better controller than a switch pro controller
i buy too many controllers. . .

Love the Zoolander reference
is the lite 2 ios compatible??
