      Zombehnation1001 Except they have Irish names mostly...My great grandfather was Irish, making me a Higgins. Like I said, some Irish are loyal and they don't all hate the English.

    • @Zombehnation1001
      @Zombehnation1001 7 лет назад +2

      blazednlovinit Your dads last name doesnt mean you're immediately 100% Irish. If you have 4 great grandfathers and 1's last name is Irish, doesn't mean the other 3 great grandfathers arent all Ulster Scottish. They openly refuse to allow the Irish language on roadsigns along side Ulster Scots. So they culturally Identify with Scottish culture more than Irish and are for the most part Scottish/English in Heritage.

    • @blazednlovinit
      @blazednlovinit 7 лет назад

      Zombehnation1001 Who mentioned "100% Irish"? Oh right, you, not me. No one is "100% Irish" if that term even makes sense.
      Why would they subject themselves to isolating themselves from the world by learning a dead language? That'd be like me convincing parts of England to speak Latin, it would be of no use to anyone because Latin is a dead language xD

      Neil Maclean oh aren't you a sweet lad ! Miss my nan too she was second generation Irish Australian as my great grandad Patrick Kennedy emigrated from templetuohy in county Tipperary to Australia so for me makes me fourth generation Irish aussie. She had that very Celtic sense of humour that most Irish and also Scottish people have it's part dry wit , part sarcasm with a little self deprecation mixed in and very much like the Australian sense of humour . my your mum rest in peace , treasure the memories of her and yes I think most Irish people and Scots too have that hard work ethic about them know my grandad and my Irish ancestors that came here most certainly did.

      It isn't actually clear what he was. Many accounts refer to him as a Romanized Briton. Others say he was specifically Welsh. One of the latest claims argues that he was French (well, from Brittany). One thing that is fairly certain, is that he changed his name to Patricius while he was studying in Gaul (modern France).

      You know Scotland is named after an Irish tribe from Ulster right? They were called the Scotti tribe and they basically took over most of west Scotland and that's how you even have the right to be called Scottish.
      Secondly, Ireland has lower crime on average than the entire UK which you can see with a quick google of the national statistics of each country. . We also have less refugees and less drugs issues outside of Dublin.
      As for our opportunities, they're pretty good seen as we have a lower tax rate than the U.S and most of Europe, so it attracts all of the major multinational companies to our shitty Island. . and is why the European HQ for Google, Paypal, Facebook, Yahoo, Microsoft, Ebay, twitter and AIr BnB are situated here ( just to name a few ).
      I can't see FB or Google coming to Scotland anytime soon, so yeah, our opportunities are quite decent considering we have a very small population and continue to beat Scotland in everything from rugby to finance :)

    Disney was born to Anglo settlers who just lived in Ireland but had no roots there, not Irish.

      Disney had native irish ancestry as well the family intermingled with the irish population .

    • @WallStwizkid
      @WallStwizkid 5 лет назад

      Completely fabricated. Disney was descended from Hiberno-'Normans', which, as a designation, has no significance whatsoever outside of surname origin. The Hiberno-Normans were thoroughly Gaelicized, in manner and blood, within one generation in Ireland, and were and are as Irish as any other. If we were to extend your logic over the Irish Sea, then every Brit with a Norman name isn't actually 'English', but a Frenchified Viking living on English lands. This is, to be sure, completely absurd, as Norman names have been in the British Isles for so many centuries that they have abandoned any and all Frankish or Scandinavian connections, genetic and otherwise.

      @@johnminehan1148, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, America's first Irish-Catholic president, was a son of two families whose roots stretched back to Ireland.
      PC370 John F. Kennedy with his father, Joseph P. Kennedy Sr., and grandfather, John F. "Honey Fitz" Fitzgerald, April 1946.
      The Fitzgerald family was from the rural County Limerick village of Bruff in western Ireland. Between 1846 and 1855, some of the Fitzgeralds migrated to America to escape the devastating potato famine. Thomas Fitzgerald, born in Bruff in 1823, and Rose Anna Cox, born in County Cavan in 1835, were the parents of John Francis Fitzgerald, who was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on February 11, 1863.
      On September 18, 1889, John Francis "Honey Fitz" Fitzgerald married Mary Josephine Hannon of Acton, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Michael Hannon and Mary Ann Fitzgerald, both born in Ireland. Their daughter, Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald, was born on July 22, 1890 in Boston. She was John F. Kennedy's mother.
      During the same period that the Fitzgeralds migrated to America, Patrick Kennedy, a cooper, left his ancestral home in Dunganstown, County Wexford, and sailed for the United States. In 1849, he married Bridget Murphy, who was born about 1827 in Owenduff, County Wexford. Nine years later she was a widow with four small children, the youngest of whom, Patrick Joseph Kennedy, would become John F. Kennedy's grandfather.
      In November 1887, Patrick Joseph "P.J." Kennedy married Mary Augusta Hickey, daughter of James Hickey of Cork, Ireland, and Margaret M. Field, also of Ireland. Their son, Joseph Patrick Kennedy, was born on September 6, 1888 in East Boston. He was John F. Kennedy's father.
