    Just got my fancy set of keys with flashlight and logo. Such a small thing, and so rewarding every time I go to drive my car. Thanks!

    Definitely getting that new flashlight on one of my keys, have a key that has a not working flashlight where the lightbulb is gone, so that new one is a no-brainer :D thanks for showing me!

      @@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec True, another little thing I recently found that I am absolutely loving is the part with OEN 82119413236, it's a storage tray for the middle console that fits E32s and E34s, they original from BMW and you still can find them for around 20 euros, got one for both of my E34s, my phone fits perfectly in it and I really like it :D

      J'aimerais bien voir vos autos, surtout la E24. Pourriez-vous en faire une vidéo? Juste une idée comme ça. Ce sont de belles voitures à restaurer tranquillement, car le design est simple et efficace. Le prix et la disponibilités des pièces sont aussi raisonnables, ce qui aide beaucoup. Bon, elles ne le sont pas toutes... Je dois remplacer deux minuscules clips de plastique qui tiennent des lignes de refroidissement d'huile (17201712210): 27$ chaque chez BMW! Ce n'est disponible nul part ailleurs... Mais bon, le reste est pas si pire. :)

    Good to see you posting again! I‘m looking forward to see you replacing all these parts in future videos.
    But I’m curious why did you not go with ATE brake pads?

    • @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec
      @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! I could not find the ATE pads to order. But it's ok since Pagid pads are similar to OE performance. Same goes for Textar, Jurid and ATE.

    • @piano302
      @piano302 3 года назад

      Yes I agree, Textar often delivers the original brake pads for the assembly line.
      I‘ve always gone with ATE as far as brakes are concerned and never had a single problem, but then again it’s not a problem at all to get all ATE parts here :-)

    • @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec
      @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec  3 года назад

      @@piano302 Where are you located? Here in Canada it's a real headache trying to find ATE parts. All the rebuild stuff I had to order from the US. Same for the brake discs.

      @@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec I am from Germany, usually you can get any part you want from any manufacturer within two days...when buying genuine bmw parts that the local dealer does not have in stock it usually takes only 1 day for them to get all the parts you need delivered from Dingolfing where the cars are manufactured :-)

    • @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec
      @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec  3 года назад

      @@piano302 Ah you are lucky! Every time I order a part from the BMW dealer here it's two weeks of waiting for the part to come from Germany. I ordered new front strut mounts and an ignition switch: no stock here, so had to be special ordered.
      How are the prices for Genuine BMW parts? Do you get a better deal because you are in Germany or they are still as expensive?

  • @adamshar5180

    Hey, I know you are struggling to figure out the idle issue. I replaced the eccentrics, bolt, washer, and nut on the rockers and remeasured the valve clearance . The engine is running much better and Idle is cleaner.

    • @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec
      @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec  3 года назад +1

      That's a great suggestion thanks! I wanted to change the oil spray bar and the banjo bolts as well. It would be a good opportunity to replace the eccentrics while I'm there. Did you go with OEM parts? Are they readily available?

    • @adamshar5180
      @adamshar5180 3 года назад

      @@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec yes OEM, readily available in the US (pelican parts).

  • @AdrianZelazny
    @AdrianZelazny 3 года назад +1

    I wonder since you decided to replace the brakes - did you ever consider upgrading to 750 parts?

    • @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec
      @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec  3 года назад

      Hi Adrian. I have yes but I found out that the 750 parts are the same as the ones in my car. The only upgrade would be from an E31 or the front brakes from an Euro E32 750 with the 4-piston calipers. Those calipers are expensive used and I didn't see the benefit to spend so much on brakes. The brakes on the US-spec E32 are already quite good and sufficient for my needs. And it makes finding parts a lot easier.

    • @AdrianZelazny
      @AdrianZelazny 3 года назад

      @@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec Great to hear! I agree the stock brakes are very good. Hope you get your parts issues resolved soon. Have fun with your projects, long live the E32
