We ATE a SHARK! Catch Clean Cook -Blacktip Shark from BEACH

- I can't believe it took me so many years to make this video! Land based shark fishing is something I grew up doing and something i love very much. My buddy Ricky called me the other day and asked if i wanted to try and catch some blacktip sharks from the beach. We got to the beach and within 15 minutes had our first shark bite from the surf. This time of year the annual blacktip shark migration is in full swing along South Florida's east coast. Thousands of sharks migrate along the coast and Congregate in huge numbers just feet from the beach! Hope you guys enjoy this shark catch clean cook and please read below for more info on shark regulations! Florida and the U.S as a whole have very strict shark regulations, so please don't believe everything you see in the media as far as sharks being fished to extinction. It's true that many parts of the world have declining shark populations, but this is not the case in our waters. Blactkip sharks are very plentiful!
►Recreational regulations for sharks in Florida! Make sure you take your shark smart course if fishing from land!

This was one of my favorite videos to date! None of this shark went to waste, we at all of the meat and gave some away to friends as well. This is sustainable harvest, not what the media portrays shark fishing to be! I'm going to film another video making homemade shark fin soup as to not waste any of the animal. If you have a recipe or know anyone who knows how to make shark fin soup PLEASE email me at teethtv@gmail.com, or DM me on instagram @landsharkoutdoors.
Bless all our sportsmen who follow the rules and regulations. Sport fishing fees go to support research and protections of all our coastal fisheries.

Make some panades bro. Hash the shark meat
Dude batter fired shark is the bomb. make it into a sandwich wit a salad and put some mayo and garlic sauce and u have the best meal ever
I’ve never really fished before but these fishing channels make me really want to go fish.
You are missing out, get out there asap.
I am by no means a pro, (I can't tell you which lures will catch what fish) but fishing is an amazing experience. If you can get out there (whether it's a lake/ocean/river/or pond) give it a try - you'll have a great time even if you don't catch anything.
I went fishing for the first time a week ago and trust me it was the most fun I’ve had in a while
Bro frrrr
Chef, you're right! The fishing channels are the best.
Regular peeps: omg I’m scared of shark
This Guy: Dont worry will eat him for you

Because I hate shark that I want to ban them in real life
Hello im a fan from Mexico, my grandmom has a restaurant where she makes “Shark Empanadas” which are really good. She boils the meat just enough to be able to shredd it. Then she cooks it with onions, carrots, tomatos, bell peppers and cellery. This would be the filling for them. She then gets a big flour tortilla and she puts the filling in while folding it into an empanada, and seals the edges with a fork. After they are sealed she frys them until golden brown and crispy! You should give them a try, they are really good!
Mmmmm empanadas
Sounds good
i tried that too but in oman
thanks for the recipe Carlos.!!
Cooking sharks is illegal because they are endangered tell your grandma to stop making them
Love this, this is what fishing is about, catching, not wasting, and having fun with friends and family
Who else watching this while they're stuck inside because of corona virus
Corona virus making us all hungry

I gotta stop watching these catch clean and cooks at night.. can’t be eating this late 😂 Great video Bro
BERTRAND850 facts dude. I watch these then go to the kitchen and eat at like 12-1:00
Y- same
Sameeeee😭😭😭
You got that right!
Excellent video. Much like your gator video. By explaining the population numbers, local regulations and then explaining how to care for the catch, goes a long way towards educating people.
Really enjoyed both clips. I don't often comment on "regular catch clean cook" posts, however, taking the time to profile an under used resource is something I respect.
That was awesome. I grew up eating black tip as a young kid, and I wanna go out and get my own now for the fam. Cheers, mate.
Bet you had a few white tips too.
@Crocodile Tasty humans ok

@Crocodile Tasty humans Bruh he said there are tons of them and are super common so it doesn't matter since theres still a lot
@Gustave The Nile croc shut up and go be vegan
I‘m not even a fisher and living in germany, but I‘m loving watching your videos! Thank you!
Cheers from munich
Awesome job Viktor! I love the way you try so hard and research everything before you show your video. My husband and I, love watching you both and your families. You made that shark look amazing! Bravo!!
It's fun anytime. I'm always thankful👍
Wow. Impressed. Always impressed with your culinary ability and willingness to eat the unpopular fish. Someday i want to catch and eat a shark.
Thank you and I live for those unpopular fish!
me too.
I respect that you want to be considerate for others, your channel is your channel and you make great videos honestly I don’t know entirely why someone who doesn’t like someone hurting animals or hates it when someone guts an animal would even watch these types of videos. These are your vids man and I think you should do whatever you’re entitled to you’re too considerate for others but that makes you a great guy and I respect that dude.
Adding this comment prior to you tasting it:
When I was a kid, my dad ordered me shark at a restaurant in Florida while we were on vacation (we're from Atlanta). I of course, didn't know he ordered me shark. Well I'll be damned if I didn't eat the whole thing and then say that it was the best chicken I had ever had, only to be told I was fed shark instead! And that is how my love for shark grew. Very excited to see what you think about your first taste!
Ps. The same scenario happened to me with alligator too. YUM!!
Thanks Vic! I harvested my first blacktip down in USVI this weekend. I was sitting on the floor with a few knives and realized I had no clue what to do. I watched this and I’m proud to say that meat came off beautifully. Grilled them and it was absolutely delicious!! Thanks.
Thank you!! I’ve been waiting for this! I’ve been wanting to try to cook my own but never could find a recipe that I really wanted! Told my wife you know who would come up with a crazy good recipe landshark! Haha never disappoints
Hahahah thank you, hopefully the wife approves.
Landshark Outdoors thanks! Between you and brook and deer meat for dinner you both have inspired of to get out and catch clean and cook our food. We have a 4 year old and he has loved being involved in it all!
@@Jondhanlon I Love hearing that! Teach that young man from an early age and he will be your best fishing partner. Cant wait for brook and I teach our kids one day!
Refreshing to see people get together and have a nice time without a bunch of foul language. Great channel!
sign me up for the next one. it was delicious!
Nice video. Great job man.
What did the other guy pick up next to the shark then throw back in ocean when they caught shark on the beach?
😂😂😂👍

You're his fiance nice
Glad to see someone cooking shark for a dinner party. Many people have the idea that sharks are severely endangered, nothing could be further from the truth. There may be some species that might be guarded or rare species but ask anyone who fishes in the ocean on a regular basis and they will differ with you. Great video👍👍
Love the respect you always show towards the sport. Keep up the amazing content!
This video makes me subscribe. The quality of cooking makes this channel better than most fishing channels.
I would never keep a shark because I’ve always been attached to them as a kid, but I appreciate that you didn’t waste anything and that you took a plentiful species. Looked good

@@bipedalhominid6815 Why you mad
i watch these kinds of videos because the cooking part is satisfying (in my opinion) and this is probably the most satisfying thing i've seen
I been eating shark for years. My mom would stew the shark meat in spicy tomato sauce. You cause also mince the meat up and make fried shark balls. Shark meat can be eaten with rice, pasta or cornmeal balls. You can find many recipes on preparing shark from different folks who eat it here in the Caribbean. The meat is very tender when it is cooked right👍🏽
If you want to try the conventional shark fin soup that you find in a restaurant, it actually takes months to dry the shark fin and rehydrate it by boiling just to get the cartilage "strings" (edible parts) from them. It's gonna be pretty hard to do and it wastes all the meat that's also edible. But I think it would be super cool if you can pull it off. I have had fresh shark skin before in another way, in japanese style "Nitsuke". You basically put the shark fin in the pot with ginger, garlic, green onion, lots of soy sauce, mirin, rice wine, salt, and sugar and stew until the cartilage is crunchy but soft. It works really well with steamed rice. I enjoy your videos a lot and please keep sharing more good stuff with us! Looking forward to seeing how you cook those shark fins.
I meant fresh shark fins lol
- Everyone : "So good. Good job!"
- 24:26 That one person we all hate : "Not gonna lie!...."
That looks delicious man. Well done. The only negative thing I can think of is that you forgot to invite me 😂
I also really like your videos, the way you present yourself and I like how you educate as well as entertain. You just earned me as a fan and subscriber.
I have to say this is by far my favorite channel to watch on RUclips. Your channel has such a great atmosphere and vibe with every single video and I always enjoy watching every video that comes out. Awesome video, keep up the amazing work!
Thank you and its comments like this that make me love what I do! Without you guys it wouldn't be possible!
I second that.
Thank you so much for this video! I have always wanted to do a video on cooking Shark! Now after watching you I have a good feel for it. Great Job man like your channel as well
Hands down my FAVORITE videos you’ve made EVER!! Would love to see more shark catch, clean, cook videos in the future with new recipes and you showing what you’re doing with the whole animal. Please show what you do to the jaws as well!

You do a great job with the videos. Nice to see a smart, energetic young generation.
My compliments goes out to the cooks in all the videos. You all make some amazing dishes.
6:12 this is exactly what I want to know..because they said the taste of shark meat so nasty and now you explained in this video what we should do to get rid of that bad smell .thanks
I use to eat shark meat with my grandpa, fried with lemon , better than lobster and shrimp
Right on brother! Finally someone who won't stray away from sharks! And damn son they loved it! Keep on keeping on lad! Subbed!
The music at 24:00 is the reason I’m not a fan of copy-write material laws. Fantastic taste in music! Haha
This isn’t your average fishing show! Excellent video and that steak and stir fry made my mouth water. I love Asian inspired cooking which this seemed very similar to. I’m looking forward to the shark fin soup video.
Man, that is a whole month food supply, just only the fin itself is good for one meal already, lol I love this channel!! 🥰💖💯
Awesome video! Very thorough. We catch and cook a lot of blacktip here in Corpus Christi, TX. The cooking methods you have are amazing! Please keep it up.
I've had mako porbeagle shark before. But never a black tip. But between the two sharks that I have had. The texture and taste is very similar to that of sword fish
The handshake saying it was good was awesome. That’s how you know it’s great.
Always really cool to see these new fish being eaten and tested, keep up the good work!
Thank you for watching!
I have a small shark in the freezer, waiting on a good feast. When I harvested it I also harvested pompanos and a black drum. I did it right and I can tell you the shark smelled and felt better than the other fish I harvested.
Thank you for showing me the proper way. I love you and Brooks vids.
I’m waiting to eat and the wait is killling me. Merry Christmas.
U lost me with the peanuts 😂
Agreed, I think I would have left out the peanuts as well.
He did say he was making a kung pao sauce. Most kung pao dishes have peanuts.
I watch a lot of your videos but for some reason I wasn't subscribed so I just took the time to hit that button. Keep up the great work
We love our camp chef! Great content as always vic
Badass grills!
One of the best CCC, very different and cool to do sharks. And it's very enjoyable to watch you in action, from catching, to cleaning and to cooking. Subbed.
Looks so good, i wished i could try some! I've had shark before but just in soup style and fillet! Thanks for sharing!
I had Gator and a bit fishy taste.....like around $6.00 LB
Awesome video man!!! I wish I could have tasted it👏🦈🦈
I’m not ashamed to be the first one in line 😂😂
Great video, just like any wild game, the key is proper butchering and care of the meat. Fantastic information, and all the food looked incredible!
Was watching DeerMeatForDinner and this was on my recommendations glad i watched your Video and love the way you balanced the recipes with the sauce my man i liked and subscribed keep the vids coming.
love your channel. I've been binge watching for a couple of days now. Keep up the good work!
I've never eaten a shark or plan to but if I do, I'm definitely cooking it the way you did. Great video.
Sharkfin soup is mostly just chicken broth based. Sharkfin is just for looks pretty much.
Looks Delicious Vick! There is absolutely nothing wrong with harvesting an animal that is plentiful for food. I see no difference in harvesting tuna, cattle, sharks, fruits or vegetables.
Keep up the great work and God bless you and yours!
I always wanted to try shark.
It's really good when done correctly
Publix sells it
You should come to Trinidad and Tobago for some bake and shark on the beach, it's really good.
You can fry it really well too
I tried some shark and it doesn’t taste like fish.It has a different and more bitter taste
Hey Vic!!!
This video brings back so many fond memories from my youth😀
I was born on Alton Rd in Miami Beach and actually fished for the original Snook Fish hatchery at UoM Chasing the tides from Stuart to S Miami. It was so exhausting and just so amazing at the same time!
Your Videos, your cooking skills, your humility, your messaging and commitments to feeding people are wonderful and I really appreciated you.
You have much to be proud of and so much to offer, please keep it up!
Best wishes!!
Greg
I’m such a HUGE FAN OF YOU AND Brook I love all y’alls videos come to Texas !!!
You (and Brook) are awesome.....wish the heck I lived in Florida and could go catch, clean, and cook fish every day! (I'm retired...70....would be a great life!! That looks really good 🔥
Thanks brother
@Crocodile Tasty humans ummmm don’t worry that’ll not happen there’s a lot of sharks
Great video! Your content keeps getting better!
In my country fried shark sandwiches are a common thing being sold when visiting popular beaches. Its nice to see different shark recipes in your video.
Liz do you mean bake and shark?
@@wildlifemaster1665 yes that's what I was talking about.
Dude I’m shocked you don’t have over 1,000,000 your video was awesome. I have this set as my recipes or to cook. Very excited to make this someday.
How much time did you spend in Asia? That wok recipe looked legit
I love catch and cook videos because I’m
Allergic to every fish but I like seeing others enjoy it!
You should try bake and shark, it is a delicacy in my country when you visit the beach you must have a bake and shark.
🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
My mouth kept watering more n more as the video went on!
I love black tip and also don't like corn starch feeling,
Also if you think they come down on you for killing a shark, Try killing a lion in Africa and see what happens lol.
Well what happens in africa?
I mean there are quite a few sharks and they arent endangered but in africa lions are being killed too much so i wouldnt be suprised if people got angry for killing lions
@@michaelwybrow5588 A lot of people have problems with trophy hunting or sport shooting or what ever you want to call it, and for good reason. I get hunting and thats by far the most ethical way of getting meat. But when you go to for example africa to hunt lions. Now that qualifies someone as a particular kind of person. When you are quite happy to go out and shoot things for your own entertainment there is a problem. Trophy hunters they don't hunt to get food, they hunt because they enjoy killing. Thats borderline serial killer behaviour.
tagged wrong guy
This was epic man, blacktips are super good and you made it even better
@Crocodile Tasty humansi understand where you come from, but that is the reason why we have regulations, most sharks are protected and have laws in place to protect them, other sharks populations that are heathy have sizes to keep, it is no different from a fish, now that doesnt mean we will go out and murder sharks no, but we will harvest a black tip, bull, nurse shark because there is plenty of them and theyre good to eat
My Chinese lady friend tells me you are mispronouncing HOISIN (rhymes with "poison"). Accent on the first syllable HOI and then SIN (as in Sin City).
You and Brook are good people, dont ever change. God Bless you all.

This was fantatic! I enjoyed this video a lot. Back in the mid 1980's my family deep sea fished off Port Aransas, Tx. and I caught a 30 lb. Black Tip shark. It was filletted and cooked on a gas grill. It tasted like a beef steak, no fishy flavor, good clean firm white flesh. I have longed to make another trip like this, and God willing I'll do it. Thanks for this video!
Make sure next time to try ceviche
Recently subscribed, and watched this one. Such a great video. My 9 year old daughter absolutely loves eating shark, so I am excited to share this with her. I am hungry now!
16:22 is such a wonderful sound, so glad you left it in
good man! Just started following your channel and this was my favorite video so far. Keep up the good work.
Great video. I just caught a black tip sunday. People don't understand how regulated our country is when it comes to fishing. Our fish populations are bigger than it has been in decades.
Best shark catch and cook video.. on the tube
Looks like he’s just finding sauces around the house and mixing them 😂 that’s what I do when I cook
Isn't that what everyone does? 😂😂 I do that too but hey, you do your own
Another great video to put in my recipe playlist! Thanks Vic.

Great video and great to have quality people around you while cooking and editing
Love the catch a shark and have a party concept. Looks like a blast. Keep up the good work!
Love the catch n cooks!!! Looked delicious n fire!!!
Victor, your video was awesome. I think it's sad that you have to state so many disclaimers regarding this catch, clean and cook. It's all good Bro. Most of us that subscribe to your channel get it. You are a an articulate, sensitive guy and you do the right thing. And are a great fisherman to boot. And cook. Of all the channels I subscribe to, yours is my favorite. I get that you have to explain your justification for this harvest but for those of us that have longed to be where you are/were, we're thrilled. Nicely done. My buddy and I caught a bonnet head a year ago and we decided to keep it. Was arguably the best grilled fish I've ever had. And we didn't know about the gutting and bleeding. Would have even been better, if that were even possible. So..
Keep doing what you do. You inspire me to get out. I'm an old fart with a kayak and need the inspiration you provide. Broward county resident... two thumbs up with a wiggle.
Now I'm hungry Victor, great video brother, God bless you and yours!!!!!!!!
Back to your roots baby!!! Love the shark fishing off the beach, casting with spinning gear!!! Doesn't get purer than that! The cooking section is awesome too....just trying to figure out how to garner an invite to next year's shindig!!!
